## What is Unmatched?

Unmatched: Digital Edition is an adaptation of the critically acclaimed board game, where two (or more) opponents command characters from myth, history, or fiction in a battle for the ages! Have you ever wondered who would win, King Arthur (aided by Merlin) or a sword-wielding Alice of Wonderland? How would Sinbad and his trusty porter fare against Medusa and the three harpies? The only way to find the truth is in battle with a quick game of Unmatched!

What is Unmatched?
Unmatched: Digital Edition is a tactical game where each player commands their hero and sidekick(s), using a unique deck of cards, to defeat their opponent on the field of battle.

The rules are simple. On your turn, take two actions which can be:
- Maneuver: Move your fighters and draw a card!
- Attack: Play an attack card!
- Scheme: Play a scheme card (cards that have a special effect).

Get your opponent's hero to zero health, and you win the game.

What makes the game special is that each hero has a unique deck and ability. Alice grows big and gets small. King Arthur can discard a card to power up his attack. Sinbad gets stronger as he goes on more voyages. Medusa can damage you with just a glance.

Change the game sounds, massively improve matchmaking, in-game chat, and menus and I can see myself playing the game all day. But now there are no players to play. I only play with the bots. That’s just silly.

So I’m playing against medusa in a 2v2 and I kill her but she still gets to play her harrpys?!?? Then when I use her in a 1v1 I think oh okay they give us a second chance but nope. If you die as Medusa you lose the game! This is so confusing! Once you lose your hero your sidekicks are out too!

It’s a great digital adaptation of the board game and I commend the effort. But as some have some there are a few game breaking bugs which I appreciate that they are working on. However I feel the biggest problem is the lack of push notifications or badges for non live games. These rarely work, and obviously it’s hard to play a game if people don’t know if it’s their turn or forget about it.

I love this game and use it to see the results of potential match ups and/or practice while unable to play in real life. I love unmatched very much, I own almost every physical set, and wish I could test the newer sets here
