### 5/5 — One of the best games ever!

*2025-01-15*

I adore this game, the moral dilemma between who to save if anyone is crazy. The first time I played it I played it in English and the second time in French for my French homework, so I got to play one of the best games I’ve ever played as homework. The game play was incredibly and the characters personalities were to die for. I 100% recommend playing and buying the full version especially because of how cheap it was, 2.99 for a game of this quality is amazing.

### 1/5 — Would not work unless i left the camera on?

*2021-11-07, version 1.3.15*

Went to play this and the settings said unless i leave the camera on the game would not work, that sounds dodgy, ive never had that so i uninstalled

### 5/5 — I only played the demo.

*2021-07-21*

Although I couldn’t get the full experience I absolutely enjoyed playing. It is refreshing that the characters have flaws and you the player cannot be perfect. It broke my heart hearing the brother talk about how he was treated. I tried giving them both equal attention and I can’t wait to play the full thing. I cried out and cringed. I can’t imagine wearing headphones, I’d get scared with the noise. Speaking of which, the background sounds and music create a perfect atmosphere. I was a bit iffy on my camera being on but I fell in love with the use of it. It hurt that neither character understood that I couldn’t leave one alone but I think it made them more real and relatable. I’m glad it’s not overly graphic but enough to emerge you into the story. Complete props and appreciation to the creator for making a character I could dislike, character being the one I played. I loved the art and I can’t imagine how much time it took to play. Thank you for the he time and care you put into the game!

### 3/5 — Good concept, ehh characters

*2021-07-11*

It’s an interesting concept and technically sound, but the characters come off as melodramatic and selfish in my opinion. Sure, it’s reasonable to have these characters have some enmity that gets explored later on, but from the very get go they’re attempting to monopolize Ariadne’s presence, even as there are no stakes to Ariadne’s plan to take turns beyond needing to stay put for a moment, which they don’t even do, even given the implicit reassurance that they’ll be back. It would be more reasonable if there was something that forced them to move, but it reads much more like them freaking out over a situation that no one forced them into while trying to throw someone they don’t like but still know right under the bus at all times. I get that they’re supposed to be like, immature, at the start of whatever personal growth that needs to continue taking place, but as it stands, they’re just annoying to talk to. (Also the all caps at times just comes off as someone throwing a tantrum in a group chat more than actual drama.)

### 1/5 — Why

*2021-07-08, version 1.2*

Not sure why you can’t play with out the use of my camera but f u.
To respond to your comment…that’s definitely something you should explain to people first. I still don’t like it or trust it. Why should I just trust that your just going to be honest about it?

### 5/5 — Great game, definitely worth four bucks.

*2021-07-06*

The art in this game is really good and there’s a lot of it, and the story is pretty good too. My biggest complaint would be how the main gimmicks is implemented, there’s no reason other than marketing that this game couldn’t have just had a switch rather than make you hold your phone in the light or dark. It’s just kind of awkward and it doesn’t really increase immersion. If you want a game that better incorporates this kind of thing play “Maginary”. However the game itself is still really good.

**Developer response:** Hi IAm2TheDude, we are glad to see that you like the game. Regarding your comment, Unmaze relies entirely on this light and shadow game. You can update your light settings at any time in the "light/shadow settings" menu. This allows you to play Unmaze more comfortably when your lighting environment changes. In the full version of the game, the "light lock" feature also allows you to control the switching between characters more easily as you mentioned.

### 5/5 — 9.5/10

*2021-07-06*

This game was amazing! I love the concept and the art! Game play itself isn’t always super engaging, but traversing through such huge mazes was challenging enough to keep me going. The mechanic of using light to switch between worlds is so clever and unique, and the mystery behind this universe had me hooked! The story between all three characters was so interesting, and the plot twist at the end was such a shock, and overall I couldn’t put the game down!
On the other hand, the characters had a tendency to annoy me. Ariadne’s speech wasn’t always consistent. Within two lines of dialogue she would act ruthless then sympathetic, and it made it difficult to relate to or even understand what she was feeling. The writing in this story could use a lot of work…
Regardless, I finished the game in one shot and thoroughly enjoyed it! It’s definitely worth supporting and sharing with others, and I’m excited to go back in and check out the other endings/locations I missed!

### 5/5 — Very cool

*2021-06-30*

Intriguing storyline and gameplay, creative, however I can’t seem to buy the full game after finishing the demo version. I want to buy the full game but I literally can’t. It’s probably an issue on my end so I’ll try to fix it, but it might not be my problem, and it happens to everyone. Very fun game.

**Developer response:** Hi Blue_Flame-^-, we're sorry you can't continue Unmaze! Please make sure your wifi or data is connected when you purchase the app. If it is, wait a few seconds (at least 15s) after pressing the "buy" button once. If you still can't buy the game, send us an email at contact-unmaze@upian.com and we will do our best to solve the problem.

### 5/5 — 🖤Beautiful!🤍

*2021-06-27, version 1.2*

Great game I highly recommend. The artistry of the game is lovely. It’s very easy to get attached to the characters, it’s immersive so you find yourself having a hard time choosing between them.
The light/dark function is something that hasn’t been used like this before, until now - and it’s genius!

### 1/5 — Boring

*2021-06-24*

Just very boring
