And they are all too similar. The app doesn't recognise my email. I cannot log in with Apple ID. I spoke to Apple support and they told me to reach out to Unplug. Still haven't heard back. Will most likely have to cancel my annual subscription and try another meditation app. ### 1/5 — I was scammed! *2024-04-14, version 7.2.4* I signed up for an advertised FREE TRIAL of this. Mind you, the app itself is awesome, but it is not something I can afford! I cancelled the subscription right away so that I would only access the free trial and not be charged; HOWEVER, I was charged the $69.99 fee immediately. This was not changed or refunded, despite cancelling. When I explained the issue to Apple and requested a refund, apparently the developer DECLINED my refund. I am a widowed single mom with a low income. This charge overdrew my account. I don’t have the app and don’t use the app, but still have $70 to pay off as well as overdraft fees. The moral of the story is that the app is great, but if you sign up for the free trial, you will possibly be scammed and charged right away. If this happens, you will NOT be refunded. The app is potentially 5 star, but the experience is less than 1. ### 1/5 — No warning on renewal *2023-11-30, version 7.2.2* They just renewed an annual plan with no notice for $70. I would have canceled or chosen a different plan if I knew the price. ### 1/5 — I feel bamboozled *2023-09-25* I just finished watching The Brotherly Love podcast where the creator of this app was a guest. She heavily mentioned the app throughout the show but she did offer some great techniques such as the 16 second meditation which was phenomenal. So of course I decided to check out the app. I should’ve known something was shady when I saw that she gave the UNPLUG app swag to the brothers as gifts. There was no actual heartfelt gifts just swag so she could get more promotion out of them. I read a lot of the reviews. I read the description of this app to make sure that there was no fee for using this app. Of course I download the app I answer a few questions and then bam it asked me for a subscription. I feel like that’s a little sneaky especially for a Meditation app. You could at least offer a one week free trial to see if people like it first. I’m not just going buy something without trying it first. Please do better Suze. **Developer response:** We gave a free code to the Brotherly Love Podcast and mentioned that when you download the app you just have to x out of the paywall and sign in. We gave a free code with no credit card so you should not have been charged. Please let me know if you were. Best, Suze ### 1/5 — Great Meditations, When the App is Working… *2022-03-30, version 6.0.5* I was really excited to use this app after trying the included 21 day meditations on Beachbody on Demand (BOD). I was very disappointed to find out that I was not able to use this app as often as I had hoped. Firstly, there is an option to download videos. This never worked for me. There were two months I had no phone data at all, and I tried to take my meditations with me, and they would not load offline. Secondly, for the app on iPhone there is a Firewall with the Apple store that would refuse my login information because I didnt pay through the App Store, I paid through the website. This made it very difficult to login at my leisure. I had to email customer support several times to have my account “reset”. Thirdly, I now have tried logging in to cancel my subscription, and I cannot!!! It keeps telling me my login is not valid or has to go through Facebook. I have NEVER used Facebook and Unplug together. Lastly, I do NOT recommend this app unless you’re going to use it desktop-only version. Then maybe. I am very disappointed. This caused me a lot more stress and aggravation than it did relaxation. ### 1/5 — Subscription bug is NOT fixed *2020-09-01, version 5.2.0* Argh! Right in the middle of meditation it stops working and locks you out! I’m so tired of this happening. I’m switching to another app as soon as my yearly “subscription” is finally over. This is so frustrating because I love the meditations and teachers! ### 1/5 — App not working. *2020-05-25* I have been using this app for over a year now. I originally got the 7 day trial in February 2019 and really liked it, so I bought the year subscription. I renewed it again in March 2020 and have never had any issues until this past Sunday where it had logged me out and told me that my 7 day trial ended. I tried to see if there was an update, restarted my phone and nothing worked. I wrote apple to see about getting it fixed or getting a refund since I have only been able to use it for 2 months. They wrote me back and confirmed that I have an active subscription but cannot get a refund now. They told me to contact the app developer for troubleshooting. I have sent unplug support an email and hopefully they respond but this is really frustrating to pay for something that I cannot even use.
