## What is Unrot?

Your scrolling has a battery now.
Scroll less without giving up the apps you enjoy. Unrot is a screen time app blocker with one shared battery for the apps you choose. Using those apps drains it. When the battery is empty, they lock. Time away from those apps recharges it.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Choose your apps.
Put the apps you want to use less on one shared battery.
2. Scroll. It drains.
Your available time goes down as you use your selected apps.
3. Empty? Those apps lock.
Your scrolling gets a stopping point.
4. Step away. It recharges.
Spend time outside your selected apps to restore charge. Come back before it is full and use the time that has recharged.
YOUR GOAL: HALF AS MUCH SCROLLING
Start near your current use, then choose when to reduce your allowance. Work toward half as much time on your selected apps, one smaller battery at a time. Your target is based on your own starting estimate.
KEEP THE USEFUL PARTS OF YOUR PHONE
Only the apps you select go on battery. Leave calls, maps and other essentials outside your selection. Recharge while you do something else, including using the apps you have left unrestricted.
ONE BATTERY. A CLEAR END.
A quick scroll can stay a quick scroll. See what is available, use it, and let time away bring some back.
Unrot’s battery represents available screen time. It is separate from your iPhone’s physical battery.

An active subscription is required to use Unrot’s screen time controls.

### 2/5 — expensive

*2026-09-19, version 3.2.15*

it’s nice but why is it so expensive? tbh i dont think it should have a paywall in the first place but for $10 a week or 70 a year is insane to me.

### 1/5 — sadly a waste of time

*2026-09-19, version 3.2.15*

takes multiple minutes to even make an account just to find out it costs £50 a year to even use it???

### 5/5 — Actually Works…

*2026-09-17*

I hit a “record” recently in terms of my Screen Time usage. I knew that I had to make a change because I was missing out on making memories in the real world and instead observing other people’s highs and lows. As a result this put me in a vicious cycle of regret, but also having FOMO with respect to social media. I have tried the Screen Time app on my iPhone, I have tried blocking out the social media apps altogether, but nothing was sticking, and I could feel my mental health deteriorating as a direct result of spending so many hours in the day scrolling, and scrolling, and scrolling. I tried this out on a whim and I have been using it with success for almost 2 weeks. My time on social media has totaled to 45 minutes a day which is less doom scrolling and more quick checks. I love the feeling of earning my Screen Time minutes and I am very cognizant of how many minutes I want to spend on social media and ensuring that I am not spending any extra time than necessary. I have also noticed that I am gaining solace by sitting in quiet and enjoying the moment instead of reaching for my phone to fill my boredom. This has been a game changer for me and it’s a must for anyone who is serious about digital detoxing, at least in terms of social media and all of the dangers that come with it in terms of mental health.

### 3/5 — The support is…

*2026-09-17*

The app is good but i get the impression that the support release bit updates and dont care about the bugs😐

### 1/5 — Tu dois payer

*2026-09-17*

### 1/5 — Require subscription

*2026-09-16, version 3.2.15*

Was absolutely stoked seeing all the videos on Insta of this concept, went to find out it’s 100% paid subscription. Don’t waste your time people

### 1/5 — Not free

*2026-09-16, version 3.2.15*

Not free. Deleted instantly

### 1/5 — Money

*2026-09-14, version 3.2.15*

No way I have to spend money to try to be healthy these days?? And what happened to apps costing money to download, not downloading them, signing up, getting excited and then realising it costs like $15 a week? It should not be that expensive.

### 1/5 — No trial

*2026-09-14*

No one will pay for it after speding time setting it up for no reason

### 2/5 — Payant

*2026-09-13*

C’est 60€ par an ou 10€ par semaines c’est un système horrible, si vous souhaitez en faire une bonne appli peut être essayer de rassurer le consommateur en laissant 1 mois d’essai gratuit.

This system aims to reverse the effects of constant overstimulation and restore focus.

### What are the key features of Unrot?

Key features include a brainrot recovery system that rewards real-life actions, a brain mascot that reflects your mental state, photo-based habit tracking for proof of completion, built-in focus tools like timers and soundscapes, and mood/dopamine check-ins to understand emotional triggers. ### How much does Unrot cost?
