In addition, the golden plate bonus is a golden plate annoyance! An update was finally issued, but it didn’t include a single new board from what you’ll get when you download the game initially. Looking at the third time around on a series. I’ve had enough. I have had a time limit up to 18 minutes where I could not play. Huh? Never had a game that does NOT want you to play. Right now I move to a different game for the time to expire, but very soon I will just delete the game. ### 2/5 — Unscrew puzzle *2024-05-13, version 0.8.1* Started off OK. Got to level 50 odd eventually after putting up with endless adverts for Royal Match and others. Not prepared to pay £6 to avoid adverts. The game then froze after almost every level with the only way out to use a different programme and then return to this game. Not worth the bother. Will delete app. It’s too easy anyway. As an aside, my Wi-Fi is good so that is not the problem, it’s the game. ### 2/5 — Good game play, poor execution. *2024-05-08* As others have noted, he game has many good qualities and one serious flaw. The good qualities are easy to describe: - good graphics and visuals - pleasing sounds and background effects - solid gameplay and physics - reasonably challenging puzzles and content - manages in-game ads fairly and balanced to the point where they are not horribly annoying. The one flaw, however, invalidates all of these good qualities to the point where I had to delete the game. As with most games of this nature, after failing a level, you lose a life. Once you lose those lives, you have to wait for the next life timer to tick down before you can continue playing. This, too, is like many other games of this type. The flaw: you literally have to sit there and watch the timer tick down to zero the entire time. You get no credit for “time served” if you leave the app and go do something else. Sitting there watching a timer tick down for 30 minutes for one life is the absolute antithesis of fun. Sure you can buy a life back from the free, earned in-game gold coins, but that offfer based on the price per life is ultimately unsustainable. This self-inflicted (on the developer’s part) unforced error absolutely kills the game’s playability. The developers clearly want you to pay for the game, (and, to be fair, who doesn’t?), so why not be honest about it and just set a price and be done with it. Be forewarned: Trying to play and enjoy this game for free won’t get you there. ### 3/5 — Good but bugs *2024-05-05* Good game, but it hangs up in refilling lives - just sits there and tells me (for hours and hours) that I still have 15 minutes to go for more lives. I restart my iPad, and lo and behold, I actually DID have full lives. Good variety and everything functions as it should. As for that person saying the bonus coins for completing a level is wrong—it is not wrong: normal reward is 5 coins then if you want to watch an ad for a bigger reward, you can do that (multiply 5 by the bonus, top amount is 25 coins). Thank you for not making a time limit like many of the other “screw” puzzles. Good game!! There is one thing I find ANNOYING: when I don’t complete a level a Crying face comes on, the next screen proclaims Failure!! Come on, how about a little optimism? Try: level incomplete want to try again?
