### 5/5 — UPDATE: much better

*2026-07-18*

UPDATE: so I've been chugging along using the old app for over a year since the new app was not functional when I tried it. Then I got a new phone and the old app was no longer able to be installed so I decided to give this another try and it seems to have been fixed. Does everything I need it to do and stays connected to the treadmill better than the old app.

PREVIOUS REVIEW: I was excited to see a new app for my treadmill! The previous app was… not great. I don’t need
many bells and whistles (I’m not one to care about connecting to a fitbit or Apple health and I
don’t need this app for setting goals. I simply want it to track time/distance if for no other reason
than I can do maintenance on the treadmill at appropriate times per the manual). My main
problem with the old app was that I had to continually reconnect the treadmill to the app. It was
easy to forget. This new app is supposed to solve that! It doesn’t. Not only does it not stay
connected, you have to move through multiple unintuitive screens to reconnect it again (and the
screen to do it on is weird and unfinished looking). At least before I just had to open the app and
push one button. Even worse, the stats keep resetting to zero throughout the day. I walked 4
miles this morning and then when I reconnected the treadmill in the afternoon everything reset
to zero.
Registering the new app was just weird. Marketing screens that have nothing to do with me and
don’t seem connected to the treadmill at all. Thought I was being scammed. I simply can’t
believe I waited so long for a better app and got a worse one. How? Still happy with the
treadmill itself, it’s a workhorse and has been great. But come on. It’s 2025. Why did this take
over 2 years? Get a functional app for your premium product please. Hire people who know
what they are doing. Or at least be honest and admit that a simple app that stays connected and
tracks time/distance isn’t ever going to happen. At this point it seems intentionally dishonest to
mention the app as part of the selling point for the treadmill.
I’m going to continue to run the old app. It still “works” for now. At least it doesn’t reset time/distance to zero each time it reconnects.

**Developer response:** Thank you for reporting these issues. Rest assured we're working hard to fix these bugs quickly, and hope to push a new update out soon.

### 1/5 — Still not syncing with Apple Health

*2026-05-28*

Update: May 27, 2026
I got an email about a new update for the app, downloaded and one can’t do anything without creating an account with an email address. There’s no reason an account should be needed and when email is the only option, I don’t have time for it.

Dec 1, 2025 and I checked in to see if this app works yet. It reported 10 times the amount of steps taken into Apple health and then no further updates. The old app would update health regularly, every minute or couple of minutes and the steps were accurate. This app has never accomplished that.

Great treadmill, please just restore the old app that was accurate and worked fine.

**Developer response:** Hi there -- I'm following up to let you know we have a new generation of the app available now (the v4 generation) that's meant to address the step count accuracy issue you called out in the earlier versions of the app. When you get a chance to update, we'd really appreciate knowing whether the issues you were seeing are resolved now. Thanks!

### 5/5 — Update: back to 5 stars

*2026-04-20*

This app has had issues over the years but is finally where it should have been all along. Simple, connects reliably, integrated with Apple Health, etc. glad to see it.

**Developer response:** We really appreciate you coming back to update your review. We've been working really hard on modernizing the Unsit app experience. Please feel free to write to us with any feedback you have on other ways we can make the app even better!

### 1/5 — Needs a lot of work

*2026-02-16*

The app is riddled with bugs and is very unpolished. It requires logging into an account to connect to the treadmill and track your steps, but the “forgot password” functionality is completely broken — it sends a link via email that the app does not recognize. Very disappointing for such an expensive product. I will update my review if these issues are resolved.

**Developer response:** Hello, thank you for the honest feedback. We've been working hard on a brand new version of the app that we released a few weeks ago. Please take a look at the new version when you get a chance and let us know whether we were able to address the issues you called out. If not, please let us know what's still not working well so we can address it right away.

### 1/5 — So many issues

*2026-01-27*

Troubling syncing. Disconnects mid-session without notifying me to fix it. Doesn’t connect to Apple health easily. The list goes on. For the amount we paid for this treadmill/desk combo, you’d think the app would be better and less of an after thought.

**Developer response:** Hello, thank you for the honest feedback. We've been working hard on a brand new version of the app that we released a few weeks ago. One of the main things we've been focused on is improving the reliability of the bluetooth connection and the Apple Health syncing.

Please take a look at the new version when you get a chance and let us know whether we were able to address the issues you called out. If not, please let us know what's still not working well so we can address it right away.

### 1/5 — An App That Can’t Actually Control Anything

*2026-01-20*

I was really excited about this app because I assumed it would let me fully control my under-desk treadmill and eliminate the need for the bulky controller it comes with. Unfortunately, that’s not the case at all.

You need both the app and the physical controller. The app can’t control speed—it’s basically a glorified display. Meanwhile, the bulky controller can control speed, but it doesn’t show how fast you’re going or how far you’ve walked. So you’re forced to use two separate interfaces to get basic functionality.

This makes zero sense. Either one should be able to do everything, or at least give users the choice of which interface they want to use. Requiring both is clunky, unnecessary, and defeats the purpose of having an app in the first place.

Very disappointing design for what could have been a much cleaner, more user-friendly experience.

Lastly, it doesn’t maintain a history, it only shows me the information for my last walk.

**Developer response:** Hi there, thank you for your feedback. It really helps us to make improvements. We have a new version of the app that was released a few weeks ago (the v4 generation) that addresses at least some of the issues you called out (namely being able to see history).

That said, you're correct that the latest version is still intended to be a tracking app, not an app to physically control the treadmill. Part of that is intentional from a design-safety standpoint (it's generally safer to control something like a treadmill via physical controls instead of software-based controls).

That said, this is really valuable feedback for us. If controlling the treadmill via the app is something you would find useful, it's definitely something we'll look into for the future.

Please take a look at the latest version of the app and let us know if you have any other feedback -- we really appreciate it.

### 1/5 — Still not syncing with Apple Health

*2025-12-01*

### 1/5 — Echoing most other opinions here.

*2025-10-24*

Desk is great but app is buggy at best. Doesn’t always connect to Apple Health and I often had to manually enter the steps into whatever fitness tracker I’m using. It also constantly disconnects from the WiFi/bluetooth.

### 1/5 — Nice to have an app but needs a lot of work

*2025-10-07*

With what I paid for the treadmill and promise of a working app, I am disappointed with what we have. It doesn’t properly sync with Health app. Time and date mismatch when it does work. It seems to clear data when you take a break from walking. Doesn’t automatically connect when you start treadmill. Doesn’t keep dark mode set in prior session. Would be nice to be able to export data from app separately from connected apps.

**Developer response:** Hi there, I'm writing to let you know we have a new generation of the app available now (generation v4) that's designed to address a lot of the issues you called out (Apple Health syncing, tracking accuracy, dark mode, etc). Please update when you have a chance and let us know what else we could do to improve the experience.
