But what’s up with the predictive text? It doesn’t catch most of my mistakes, and it changes some of the stuff I write with really odd word combinations. Also at times it would randomly close and my work would be lost. So, I deleted and now have come back to it, but.... no update in a year??? Is this a dead app? ### 2/5 — cool app *2020-10-20, version 1.5.9* but it keeps crashing. needs work ### 2/5 — Constant Crashes, Deletes My Scripts *2020-10-20* I want to start by saying that I do love this app. It’s great to be able to use an affordable screenwriting software, especially on my iPad. As a film student, it’s extremely necessary to be able to sit down and work on a script when inspiration strikes or when I’m away from home and can’t get to my computer. But, it has some major flaws that are becoming pretty drastic. There have been multiple times where the app has crashed suddenly. Usually, it’s manageable. But at times, these crashes delete about 20 minutes worth of work. Additionally, sometimes the app just straight up deletes my scripts. I spent hours working on a script a while back, but it got deleted. I left the app, went back the next day, it was gone. Sometimes, looking back at the version history helps. But sometimes, it does the opposite. There have been multiple times where I’ve tried to restore scripts as a new copy, and each time I do that, the app crashes. Sometimes, the crash straight up deletes the entire script (and ultimately its history). I also had one of my big scripts get replaced with the text of another script. It deleted all of my work, which obviously sucked. Again, I do really love the app. I appreciate being able to use it. But it’s becoming extremely unreliable. ### 4/5 — Best mobile screen writing app! *2020-10-02* I am very pleased with this app. It’s simple layout is nice to navigate. Notable features would include the sorting feature that allows you to move scenes around, as well as the short cuts which makes writing a breeze. I found this app very useful for spontaneous ideas and experimentation on the fly. When I’m not able to jump on my laptop to write, it is nice to be able to pull out my phone and jot scene ideas that I can export to any software. One critique I would love to see is a dark mode. This would be nicer on the eyes at night. Great app! ### 3/5 — Good, but buggy *2019-12-27, version 1.5.9* A good concept, but can be super buggy! I’ve lost so many scenes due to it just not saving for some reason... ### 1/5 — Cannot even write after few line as the current line is not seen *2019-10-08* The very basic feature of seeing what u write has a bug...after writing few lines on my iPad the current line gets hidden behind the keypad the screen doesn’t show the line where you are writing....there is no scroll bar that can take you to the position of your cursor....didn’t you test this App before selling .?..... need money back ### 5/5 — Fountain Scripting *2019-09-27, version 1.5.8* Untitled is great for scripting once you learn the simple language of Fountain. I use it to compose ideas, outlining, and synopsis development. I cannot get but one thing to work! All the other options are frozen ss if its a fake app. I cannot even get support; safari says “unable” network connection lost. Not even on another browser ! Actually, even if you're not done for the day, save it. If you're going to minimize Untitled to go google something real quick, save it. There is no guarantee that once you leave the app that your work will be there when you return. I will recommend a more expensive app to my friends before I recommend Untitled. Allows me to write scripts without the entire circus of features AND handcuff of subscriptions. It’s abandoned, though and that’s unfortunate. But, it’s a great dead app. If the developer sees this, I hope they come back. I get it though. It can be a pain to maintain and deal with the never-ending hillside of squawking comments and requests. ### 5/5 — It’s a good app but would like to see more *2022-12-18* Hi I’ve been using it for maybe a good few days I think I would like to see something that helps the user when writing so maybe like if the person messes up the app can fix it automatically. Because I’m a film student so this helped me out quite a lot for projects and also actually if you put an idea in the box it will give you certain ways to make it into a screenplay so basically give the user options . BUT you do need to know some basics of screenwriting. It is not a magical app that turns any writing into a screenplay format. You do need to know a bit about the format of a screenplay. It helps me write all my script drafts faster. I use it more than the Final Draft app I’ve purchased on my iPad. ### 5/5 — This app is fantastic *2020-07-31, version 1.5.9* Simple to use!! It really does instantly translate a story written is normal prose into a screenplay script, as long as you use certain key words in the story and capitalise the characters when they speak. But also this app is invaluable as a flexible story board creator. Stable, clean, and the 'magic' writing option works really well. I don't have to worry about formatting; it's all done for me! I think my only request would be the option to type directly into the 'Preview'/formatted mode if I wished to. Sometimes it's easier for me to think if it's already formatted like the final export will be.
