### 5/5 — Excellent Resource

*2025-05-29, version 1.5*

Amazing resource for anyone who wants to understand swift or recap or fill the gaps in swift knowledge.
Hats off for this amazing idea

### 5/5 — App functions smooth (as expected) / Also very Educational & Informational.

*2025-03-11, version 1.5*

Thank you for this app. Beautifully done

### 5/5 — Really useful and well made

*2025-01-23, version 1.5*

You’d expect an app about learning Swift to use Swift well, and this one fulfills that expectation. Really a polished, nicely done program. Each learning step is short and followed by targeted practice exercises, which solidifies your grasp of the subject. I usually much prefer written material, and Unwrap does that, but the additional short video with each topic can be really helpful if something isn’t clicking. The sound quality is really good and professional, and there’s no “filler.”

### 4/5 — Sehr gut!

*2025-01-21, version 1.5*

Eine lokalisierte Version in deutsch wäre super!!!

### 4/5 — Great Learning tool

*2024-12-26, version 1.5*

Lessons are great. Free coding is the only major issue. I find it saying a lot of code won’t work but I move it to Xcode and it does. Learn on this app, practice in Xcode.

### 5/5 — Much better way to spend your time than on social media

*2024-12-21, version 1.5*

No one cares more about helping others learn Swift than Paul Hudson.

### 5/5 — Awesome practice tool

*2024-11-27, version 1.5*

Awesome addition to the 100 days of swift. Using it on the go to drill swift concepts.

### 5/5 — Lv 1 to LV 50 BOSS DEV

*2024-08-17, version 1.5*

### 5/5 — Refrences

*2024-07-19, version 1.5*

I love the references to Taylor

### 5/5 — Free and easy to learn

*2024-07-09, version 1.5*

I appreciate that a free resource with so much value is available on the go. It’s great as a reference and help me learn the concepts. Thanks Paul for putting this together.

### 4/5 — Nice app, though Swift syntax is obsolete

*2024-06-19, version 1.5*

For example, Optionals contains old style -

if let unwrapedValue = value

guard let unwrappedValue = value

in modern swift it's ok to use shorthand

if / guard let value

for unwrapping.

### 4/5 — Intriguingly innovative Way to Learn Swift

*2024-06-08, version 1.5*

UNWRAP is made up of a combination of learning units, regular self-guided tests and subject reviews, as well as daily challenges. All of this implies that the studied materials get both a lot of practice and profuse repetitions. This, in my opinion, makes for very efficient learning!!

### 4/5 — Très bien…mais COMMENT SUPPRIMER LES DONNÉES ?

*2024-03-09, version 1.5*

Merci Paul.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Audio not working

*2025-05-07, version 1.5*

Hi team , the app is great and all but I can’t seem to get the audio working on the lesson videos . I have checked and it is not my phone that is the issue . Please assist.

### 1/5 — App is frustrating to use and out of date

*2024-08-16*

Unwrap is generally equally as frustrating to use as it is helpful.

You have to appreciate Paul for building and publishing this freely for people to learn with, but it is utterly frustrating even for someone with experience. There is out of date information and you will get exercises wrong because of it.

Further, often the mistakes in incorrect exercises are due to hidden syntax errors and other things you wouldn’t generally look for simply because it is not how the language works and often the errors have nothing to do with the lesson.

And as for the challenges you can provide a solution you have even built and tested in Xcode ensuring it works correctly and still get the challenge wrong with zero feedback.

### 1/5 — Missing Reset

*2023-02-17, version 1.5*

Used the app a longer while ago. Now I would like to reset my progress and start from the beginning. Unfortunately it's not possible. The old status is always restored whatever I tried. Frustrating...

### 1/5 — App is garbage

*2021-07-04, version 1.5*

Tutorials are too short and lack significant details for substantiative learning.

Most of the information in the short tutorial doesn’t work in a Swift 4 compilier.

### 2/5 — challenges are bad

*2025-05-08, version 1.5*

many of the challenges where we need to type the code by hand fail despite them working properly. there seems to be only one solution hardcoded as an acceptable answer which makes no sense

### 2/5 — Needs more practice

*2025-03-05, version 1.5*

Most of the practice is behind a certain lesson point to unlock but how do you retain the information if you don’t practice it until over half way. I like the app but don’t feel that it’s very practical to have any form of practice so far away.

### 2/5 — Good yet annoying

*2023-05-15, version 1.5*

Material presents a small # of properties eg syntax for a subject then quizzes on syntax it never mentions. Requires rounding out.

### 3/5 — This is almost done, but it’s need some adjustments!

*2026-04-02, version 1.5*

Contains some exercises with wrong answer key. And if possible, it would be good to reformulate the written part of the classes.

### 3/5 — AWESOME!!!

*2022-02-13, version 1.5*

I love this app so much! There is nothing wrong with it! I have learned so much. I can’t get over this app!!! 😁😁😁

### 3/5 — Good for learning not for practicing

*2020-11-14, version 1.5*

When attempting any code challenges within the app, if user’s answer is not perfect the app never gives you the right answer you just get pushed to next question where you still probably won’t type the answer in perfectly and be able to see solution ever.... 😐

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

*2026-07-22, version 1.5*

### 5/5 — He did real good

Very good , great , he’s a character of swift code now

### 5/5 — Great if you new to Swift

*2026-04-25, version 1.5*

Generally I would laugh at the idea of learning programming with a cell phone but this package is great for sharpening certain skills.

### 5/5 — Student of Swift

*2026-02-20, version 1.5*

This is the most enjoyable way to learn Swift! You should definitely get!

### 5/5 — Cool app to learn Swift!

*2026-02-06, version 1.5*

Paul has made an awesome app here! Smooth SwiftUI views with different modes. There is a learning section to understand the fundamentals and I enjoy the daily challenge. You can also collect cool badges 😎

### 5/5 — Videos Stopped Working

*2025-12-25, version 1.5*

I love this app and could never give it less than five stars. I do wish the developer would fix the issue with the video’s not working on Mac OS. I know it’s natively supported on Mac OS which is why I still give it five stars. Please fix the videos. Thank you.

### 5/5 — Чудово

*2025-10-01, version 1.5*

Це дійсно корисно для тих хто навчається . Щоб підтримувати себе у формі . Згадати те що ти вивчив та краще запамʼятовувати матеріал.

### 5/5 — Great smooth app

*2025-09-20, version 1.5*

Great swift learning tool. Easy to follow lesson

### 5/5 — Amazing tool for a beginner

*2025-08-20, version 1.5*

As someone who is trying to learn how to code in his late 40s, I’m incredibly grateful for the generosity of this developer. This app is the perfect study tool for all of Paul Hudson‘s lessons on how to code with swift. I’ve tried off on over the years to learn how to code, and I never seem to get past the basics. Working through “100 days of SwiftUI“, it’s all finally starting to click. Thank you, Paul for all that you do!

### 5/5 — Excellent Resource

*2025-08-01, version 1.5*

This is an excellent and easy to use resource that really compliments and reinforces 100 days with Swift UI. Would highly recommend both for anyone new to Swift.
