When I open the app, there seems to be no way to view the notifications. So the number shown on the app icon is unnecessary noise. ### 2/5 — Intermittent money transfer share screen function *2026-07-09, version 19.8.0* Upon money transfer from one account to another, as well as Paynow function, there is a share screen function that allows user to forward the successful transaction screen via external app like WhatsApp. However, notice the at it is not always functioning. Sometimes even after “share”, there was no screenshot being sent out. This has been a long standing issue since months ago. And I am updating my review again now in Jul2026. They made it so difficult to log in and retrive data. The phone service also asked too many questions resulting in us being unable to talk to customer service and requires too many verifications resulting in too many switching between sms and phone screen. Also their financial management system is now ( not previously ) very slow at updating financial data. I had sufficient balance ( could see on screen ) but they kept reporting me as having insufficient balance on screen resulting in me wasting a lot of time and accomplishing nothing. It is like them trying to waste 60 minutes of my time. Very unhappy with their recent latest updates to their system. Simplicity is sophistication ( not add unnecessary features or safeguards to make Internet banking an unhappy experience ) . ### 2/5 — Pay now annoyances *2025-08-26, version 18.12.0* Pay now wouldn’t work, so the app suggested i reinstall, after which i needed to set up a digital token to use pay now which took another whole day. also pay now has been down a few times now (for example scheduled maintenance saturday night exactly when people are paying for taxis) when I needed it. without giving access to my entire contacts, it’s not easy to pay now a previously transferred number. It’s also not clear where to find the transactions afterwards (a list of past paynows). transactions take a long time to actually show up, 3 days from when scanning with pay wave to actually appearing in the app. Compared to most other banking applications i’ve used from other countries this is pretty behind- not sure why the ratings are so high ### 2/5 — The app doesn’t allow overseas transfer *2025-07-19, version 18.8.4* To access overseas transfer, one has to go to web version, the app itself only for local transfer. This is very inconvenient because even web version, the amount is kept minimum RM5k, everytime any transfer of larger amount I need to talk to banker. Very inconvenient for someone working overseas and travel frequently. The app also don’t allow print screen so very inconvenient to keep record . DBS app is way better and easier to navigate. Definitely not recommend UOB. Use DBS better. ### 1/5 — notification ads are back, boys!!! *2025-07-15, version 18.8.4* i am tired of seeing your ads to sign up for banking products i don’t need. please give us an option to turn it off. update: dev’s advice to go to notifications DO NOT OFFER AN OPTION TO DISABLE UNWANTED PRODUCT ADs - please know your app better before giving a pointless reply. ### 1/5 — Uob One Card Giro *2025-06-26, version 18.8.4* Recently I was issued a new Uob One credit card as my old credit card had been fraud. I was told by Uob that my giro for this new credit card will not be affected, but it seemed not so because my giro actually failed this month and I thought my credit card was fraud again. If giro is not affected, then I shouldn’t be paying my credit card bill manually this month as I don’t usually keep track of the payment as it is pay through Giro. Do two step, three step verification but make transfer limit changes immediately. We are not millionaires like bank owners who has millions lying around that they can use from other sources. Most of us got one salary account and if money is stuck there , need urgently , such limitations chance to take effect after 12 hours is a big problem, specially if you don’t want to borrow from others. Someone made assumptions that ppl got spare money and put such limitations in place which is a red tape. ### 1/5 — Cannot pay. *2026-07-05, version 19.8.0* I was going to pay for food using paynow. All of a sudden, the app is frozen, and it suggests redownloading or calling for support. Naturally, I redownloaded the app. Not only was it slow as a snail and buggy(I had to quit the app and redownload many times), it required me to set up a digital token again. Which is a 12 hour progress. In which I cannot use Paynow because I need the digital token first. And this food vendor only accepts Paynow and not card. Somehow my face ID was disabled on my iPhone and when I tried to reset for UOB TMRW app, it requested for card tpin which I had never used, don’t remember and don’t bring with me on trips. So I called customer service and was told they could only post it to my mailing address in Sg, but that was no good cos I’m stuck in UK, or I could go to the nearest branch when I get home!!!!?
