## Newest reviews (11 of 96)

### 3/5 — Needs work.

*2025-09-22, version 1.10.7*

When it works it’s great. But full of bugs. And currently not working on iOS 26.

### 2/5 — No where to ask questions

*2023-03-26, version 1.6.18*

I’m new to the app and want to see where I can remove a meal from the meal plan I.e as I’m eating out. It’s not obvious in the app nor does there seem to be any way to send a question to someone or FAQs including this in the app. There are some FAQs on the website but it doesn’t cover this.

In fact the how to use information seems limited perhaps because it usually used by people also using the gyms who can ask trainers but ultimately this is sold as an individual product to the public so should have better how to use guidance.

More than willing to change my review should I be shown to be wrong? Ultimately I want an app that helps me reach my goals and I feel this could be it if there were better info.

### 2/5 — Great principles but vey buggy

*2023-01-03, version 1.6.12*

The features are great in principle, but there are multiple ongoing issues that make it a hassle to use (as you’ll have to enter stuff manually) or ineffective. These include:

1) Frequent application crashes.
2) Unpredictable syncing with no apparent option to force a manual sync.
3) Food database lookup has poor hit ratio (compared to main competitors) and often gives odd numbers for manually selected ingredients.
4) Photos from one session I had were bugged and just appear blank. This then breaks the comparison feature and I can’t select a different check in to compare to.

The ongoing support and interaction with the trainer through the chat functionality is great. If the rest of the features worked well, it would certainly be a good app and one worthy of the reputation and cost of the U.P. product.

### 2/5 — Needs Pest Control

*2022-12-26*

When the app is actually functioning it works very well. Unfortunately it’s FULL of bugs. Every single day I experience difficulties trying to use basic functions on the app. From things as simple as trying to upload a picture, to more difficult things like trying to create a recipe, I always run into some problem or another. Also, the feed is pointless along with the my essential tab as well. Neither one seems to update or provide new information, and it genuinely shouldn’t be the landing screen anyways, the daily section should be. Now I’ve run into some weird glitch where it’s telling me that today is Jan 2, 2023 and I can’t update anything or move to the correct week. It feels like this app is actively working against me, which makes an already kind of difficult situation unnecessarily stressful. To be completely honest, for the money clients pay for personal training and everything else, I would really expect this to work better, ESPECIALLY since it feels like the old myfitnesspal from back in the day runs a million times smoother than this brand new app

### 2/5 — Not good if short on preparation time

*2022-10-09, version 1.6.9*

Over complex diet plan

### 2/5 — So many bugs!

*2022-07-25, version 1.6.4*

This app has so many bugs!! Calorie calculations are wrong, when you hit macros exactly it shows total calories as over your set amount?! Progress graphs have errors. Many times it doesn’t load previous training data so you have no idea what your previous rep and weight amounts were. App has good potential but really sloppy implementation and some really poor UX design choices.

### 3/5 — New Release Missing Functionality

*2021-11-16*

The new release looks prettier, but is missing key functionality from previous releases.

Missing - copying meals from the previous day, water intake in cups, only 3 meals per day, etc.

### 2/5 — Doesn’t Work Well Since Update

*2021-11-14, version 1.5*

Hopefully they can fix the bugs soon because before this new update it was a great app.

### 5/5 — Up app amazing!

*2021-07-19, version 1.4.4*

Amazing tool that makes life so much easier! Not only can food and training be tracked, but all info is available for trainer to review and make sure everything is in place for optimal progress.

### 5/5 — An easy app for anyone

*2021-07-19, version 1.4.4*

This app is just as good as MyFitnessPal except it has much more within it.

A must have when trying to reach your fitness goals.

### 5/5 — The best App to track your progress

*2021-07-18, version 1.4.4*

This is the best app to track your progress during your Transformation. Thanks at Ultime Performace you can achieve great results

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Unprofessional and weird

*2026-06-12*

I signed up for the program, completed the intake form, and was matched with a trainer whose first message was filled with passive-aggressive commentary, assumptions about my habits, and skepticism about my ability to succeed. It was a bizarre way to start a coaching relationship, especially considering my intake form explicitly stated that I do not respond well to emotional or overly "fluffy" communication.

I immediately told the team I was unwilling to work with someone who approached clients that way. They reassigned me to a different trainer, who was professional and appropriate. However, the original trainer's messages remained visible in the app. When I requested they be removed, I was initially told that company data policies made that impossible. As someone who works in tech, I knew that explanation was nonsense. They eventually removed the messages, proving it was possible all along.

Shortly afterward, they refunded me and said they felt it was the fair thing to do. Apparently, expecting basic professionalism and respectful treatment was enough to end the relationship.

Based on this experience, I would not trust this company. The entire process raised concerns about their judgment, communication style, and overall approach to client ethics.

### 1/5 — Went from decent to terrible

*2026-06-04*

I really cant fathom how one can decide to go out of the way to make app UX worse. Some feature changes (like now requiring 4x more inputs just to add sleep time manually), logging out users for no reason (its not a bank app), making it hard(er) to add past meals. It truly used to be one of the best apps I came across 2 yrs ago, but it has been progressively getting worse. I can look past the bad layout and design, but making UX so bad is unbelievable.

### 1/5 — Can’t open the app

*2025-10-05, version 1.10.7*

Seems to have broken now and can’t even get it it :-(

### 1/5 — Meal plan

*2025-09-23, version 1.10.7*

Meal plan will not generate

### 1/5 — Ok but still irritating issues

*2024-06-22, version 1.9.4*

Complaint 1 - Daily Weigh in …. 13st 12.6lbs is Not 13st 13lbs but since your last update it decides to round up or down - Not Good if we are watching our weight we want the Accurate Not the Rounded up version

Complaint 2 - Liquid count - once again you have decided to only offer increments of 1 1.5 2 2.5 etc etc we used to enter the Accurate amount but you have decided for some Ridiculous reason to change without asking for feedback

Complay3 Sleep I’m more than capable of entering the hours & minutes of my sleep I really do not need the unecessary enter time start and finish

Conclusion- - a very Good App is now downgrading to ok whilst a very Complacent Attitude towards your Customers regarding as mentioned above example changes to your App and at a monthly cost of £950 we expect Better
Regards

Rob

### 1/5 — Frustrating update

*2024-06-15*

The new update has destroyed the app for me. If the compatibility with apple health has not been acheived correctly, you should at least let the users choose if they want to use it. If I don’t want to read/write from apple health everything becomes 0, and after I’ve used it, it has messed up my historical data.

1. Weight: the daily weight I track is supposed to be taken at consistent time points in the morning. Reading from apple health has overwritten all of them with my last weighing in the day.

2. Sleep: it’s using time in bed instead of time asleep and my historical data have been updated to that. There’s also not an easy way to overwrite it as instead of a number I have to put start and end which is not how my sleep tracking works as there can be intervals of being awake during time in bed.

3. Units: even though weight shows in lb as I have selected in my settings, when I try to overwrite it I have to put in kg!

### 1/5 — The worst overpriced subscription.

*2023-10-11, version 1.8.1*

This app is thief. It doesn’t give you an option to cancel the service. It charges you without authorization.
The app charged me $750 for three months of coaching. What I got some general useless texts created by chatgpt.

### 1/5 — Buggy

*2023-07-08, version 1.7.7*

After last update (7.7), kcal does not sum. Feels like there is always an issue with this app.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t open on iPhone 12 Pro

*2020-11-16, version 1.3.1*

Please fix.

### 2/5 — Outdated

*2025-03-15, version 1.9.33*

Needs a update on all,at best clunky ,non responsive at times ,and I’ve been using for over 4 years ,all the big parts are there ,food tracking ,weight ,sleep ,macros tracking ect. But it’s just very outdated

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Best Fitness Tracker

*2024-04-19*

App does a great job in making calorie, step, activity, water, sleep tracking, etc. Can very easily track your progress. Paired with the training at UP, it can’t be beat.

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2022-10-15, version 1.6.9*

Love the app! I would love it even more if I could upload my progress pictures, girths and fat tissue measurements

### 5/5 — Great app

*2022-09-25*

This app is easy to navigate and track your progress. The meal plan section is a plus.

### 5/5 — Everything at your fingertips

*2022-09-18, version 1.6.6*

What I like in particular about this app is as well as telling how to achieve fitness. It has also given me different ideas of foods to experiment with. I used to struggle with food choice.

### 5/5 — Step by Step

*2022-09-18, version 1.6.6*

There is no magic pill, but this app makes sure you progress step by step.

### 5/5 — All in One

*2022-09-17*

This app puts everything I need in one place. Love that the food tracking is easy to use and has so many options there already. I like being able to add things they don’t have. Is you train with a UP trainer the communication is awesome. I love tracking my process, the measurements, weights, water, steps everything.

### 5/5 — Accountability in your pocket

*2021-11-11, version 1.5*

Awesome app that helps me track all my food and macros with ease - plus, tasty recipes to boot! Would recommend for getting your weight and fitness in great shape

### 5/5 — The best diet app out there

*2021-11-10, version 1.5*

This app is a game-changer! I have been using it for about six weeks now and it does exactly what it says on the tin - it has transformed my diet.
It tells me the exact calories and macros I need to lose weight.
It creates a meal plan for the week for me.
And I’m enjoying all the new recipes it creates in my plan for me.
The automatic shopping list generator tool is super useful too so I can grab everything I need for the shop.
I’ve dropped 5kg already and the weekly feedback is really useful to keep making tweaks to my diet.
The old saying ‘abs are made in the kitchen’ is true.
I have always known how to train hard - but I have never been able to control my diet.
But now I know exactly what to eat - and I’m getting results I’ve never been able to achieve on my own.
Best free app out there.

### 5/5 — Perfect for accountability

*2021-09-02, version 1.4.4*

By far the best fitness app out there!

### 5/5 — Very helpful

*2021-07-19, version 1.4.4*

Great app. Lots of useful functions to help me stay accountable through my fitness journey.
