It doesn't really work with newer iPhones that have multiple cameras. The default camera is the 1x, which doesn't have a short enough focal length. When lining the data matrix up with the guidelines, it's impossible to get the camera to focus. From further away the image is focused, but the app does not detect the data matrix.

I tried scanning a couple of QR codes but it simply refused to work. Each time I tried, it just kept opening to a webpage in my browser, which wasn't even in English (looked to be Finnish), so I had to resort to downloading another app to successfully scan the QR codes. Will be deleting this app after my review is posted.

On an Iphone 4 running latest IOS 7, this app does nothing.  It does not recognise 1D or 2D barcodes, even when they’re perfectly in front of the camera, well lit and steady.

Other barcode scanning apps do actually work on the same phone.

This application is perfect and very useful but the users should know the correct function of the created codes, UpCode is not simple QR codes simple and URL base and the standard of Data Matrix is the most smart in UpCode.

I get all the bad reviews. But I honestly don't think it's the app's fault. If the QR codes are badly printed or lead to nowhere i can't fault the app for that. When the codes are readable the app works just advertised and simply launches safari with the URL scanned. I experienced no crashes so far. (iPhone 3G).

I downloaded this app to see if it worked after seeing the code on a advertisement. No problem worked fine. Took me right to the URL in safari. I'll keep using it.
