This app is rudimentary at best and often fails to correctly report the state the alarm is in. It also fails to connect and allow you to set the alarm. Useless! ### 1/5 — Keep your expectations low *2017-06-12, version 2.4* When it finally was enabled, I expected a remote view of my keypad to do things like bypaa zones, create user access codes, stay arm, etc. Turns out you can do one thing- arm/disarm. Ok, I guess that's two things. ### 1/5 — Push notifications not sending *2017-03-29, version 2.3* Burglary alarm push notifications are not showing up even though the app says it is sending them. Also, I can't seem to locate where the app lets you adjust the notifications since the app doesn't show up under settings/notifications. I also experience remote arm/disarm timeouts which is very frustrating when you are away but need to let someone in or arm the system if it was never armed. Very frustrating. Definitely needs an update asap. ### 2/5 — Outdated and poorly executed app *2017-02-10, version 2.3* This app could certainly use technical updating. I can receive a push notification or an e-mail however I cannot receive a text on my AT&T iPhone. I can assign another AT&T iPhone and texts are received fine. The app hangs after arming the system remotely and I have no idea if the system actually armed. The app will not reset even with a phone reboot so I cannot determine the true status of the system. It would be appreciated if Uplink would invest time and resources to make this app function properly. As others have said the "Stay Arm" function is essential, yet is stiill not incorporated. ### 2/5 — Basic - Needs New Feature Updates *2016-08-10, version 2.3* It works for very basic arm & disarm. However, if you want to arm in "stay" or "pet" mode (everything armed except motion sensors) IT CANNOT DO THAT !!!! If you leave the house with a family member or pet still inside and want to remote arm the system FORGET IT. This is a basic feature that Uplink Remote is missing. The install tech said they have been promising that feature for at least a year ... Don't hold your breath. That is reassuring (not). Also, I second the complaint about texts coming from different numbers. Did Uplink miss the memo on how text messages work? ONE NUMBER PLEASE!!! Come on Uplink! These are basic concepts. What you have seems to work well. Now update your features to this decade. It's 2016! After feature update this could be a 4-5 star review. ### 2/5 — Need to uodate *2016-03-30, version 2.3* This app has always had issues but ever since the switch to Daylight Savings time, the emails that get sent when you am or disarm is not being sent right away. It's sent at weird times. For example, I disarmed at 7:30am and then re-armed at 9:00 am. I got the notification that the system was armed at 3:00 pm but the notification for when it was unarmed at 7:30am came in just now (3:50pm). ### 3/5 — Functional at the most basic level *2016-03-18, version 2.3* I like the ability to remotely arm/disarm but it feels like this app could use an update to improve the functionality indicated in other reviews. I also use the text notifications to monitor monitor arm/disarm activities from cleaning lady and pet services so I might be notified by 6 events per day. The texting format is by far the biggest issue I have as every notification is an incremental number and FILLS my text box with unique entries that must be deleted individually and is a PITA. Please send these from ONE number so they can be managed as a group like every other text activity. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Needs Update *2021-01-31, version 2.4* Please offer an app that actually fits phones that have been out for over 3 years, offers a stay OR away mode, and integrates with Alexa or google without the extra steps of using IFTT integration and asking for more money. I tried using the app inside my house to arm it one night and it didn’t arm as stay but rather as away so when I activated the motion detector the next morning, the alarm went off. Uplink has always provided the best products for our customers' needs and i know this will be another one. This technology is so new, we have not been able to fully test it but stay tuned for a trustworthy review soon. ### 4/5 — Works great *2016-02-19, version 2.3* I love the ability to set my alarm with my phone. So if I forget to set the alarm I can do it while away from the house. I can also use the phone to set my alarm while in the house but far from the control pad. And at least for me, when I arm my system using this app it goes into stay mode. It would be better if you could select away or stay mode to take full advantage of the alarm system (when I'm away is like for motion sensors to be armed) so that's why I didn't give 5 stars. ### 4/5 — Please allow "Stay" mode *2015-06-25, version 2.3* Thank you for allowing us to stay logged in! Maybe odd number for armed and even for disarmed so you can at least see status without opening app. Please add an option for panic button. We often have to leave our two large dogs in the house alone while we run errands. It is essential for UplinkRemote to be able to set the alarm in "Stay" mode, especially for dog sitters. Otherwise UplinkRemote provides great convenience and security. "Keep me logged on" is great! ### 4/5 — Needs much work *2015-04-24, version 2.3* New version with keep me logged in is a huge upgrade. The loss of a star because it cannot arm to "stay" mode. ### 3/5 — Limited Capability *2018-01-21, version 2.4* This App would be far better served to allow the user to arm the Alarm in an Away mode or in a Stay mode. Currently the only mode is Armed Away which means if we have pets in the house, their motion will set off the alarm whereas if the option to arm the system in a Stay mode, the possibility of them setting off the alarm is removed and the App is much improved. ### 3/5 — HOLY CRAP, THERE'S AN UPDATE!!! *2017-05-23, version 2.4* It's been over two years since the last update; I thought it was just a matter of time until the app would be dead. This app is still very lacking in functionality, but at least someone in their organization cares (at least a little.) I still can't enable "Stay" from the app, and there are times that it just hangs (with lot of spinning) instead of arming or disarming, but we got something, right? ### 3/5 — Notification stopped working in April 2017 *2017-05-18, version 2.3* Notifications have stopped working. Application really could use an update. Update: May 17th, notifications appear to have been fixed. ### 3/5 — The APP needs ability to set alarm in STAY MODE *2017-01-27, version 2.3* The APP works but only has BASIC mode functions. You can arm in AWAY mode only. It desperately needs the ability to arm in STAY MODE so the alarm will not go off with dogs. I would give 5 stars if it had this ability.
