___
iPhone (iPad)
---
Just point your device at the tree you want to identify. Using Augmented Reality (AR), the app will display a label with the species right next to the tree. (Use the map view, if the label won't line up...)
Tapping on the label will display the Wikipedia page about that tree's species.
In addition to the AR mode, Urban Trees features also a map mode.

Notes:
• Urban Trees does NOT use image recognition but uses OPEN DATA, which provides the exact location and species of every PUBLIC tree in the supported cities
• Check the help section within the app if the label locations in AR are off.

___

On the Apple Watch the five nearest trees are shown on a map.
Tap the screen to display the species of those trees.

### 1/5 — Tree app

There are too many states in the US, to not have them a part of the list of states in app use.

### 1/5 — Very Disappointo

*2020-05-04*

I live in Culver City. The app had all the trees on Sepulveda Blvd. named but none on the 10 nearby residential blocks I walk daily with my dog.

**Developer response:** Sorry to hear that the trees on your street are not in the city's tree database. One possible reason could be that those are not managed by the city.
