I paid 590 for an enquiry, but no one answers the calls or responds. The app is fake. I get enquiries every day, but none of them result in any work. We pay money and then have to contact them ourselves. I regret paying; from now on, I will never pay again. My 590 Rs is wasted. ### 2/5 — Disappointed *2025-12-09* I had a very disappointing experience on UrbanPro. Many people who registered themselves as students were actually tutors pretending to be learners. When I contacted them, I lost my coins, and only later realized they were not real students. This wasted a lot of time and almost all of my coins. UrbanPro should verify profiles more strictly and prevent tutors from registering as students. Dictating terms student/ tutor communication. Using dummy/ spam number to call prospective clients and those call never get picked up. Charging tutors ‘coins’ to contact student even after a tutor is paying for a membership. This whole app is a fraud. Please don’t waste your time here unless you want to spend 50-60 thousand first in paying these guys to get you verified, validated and authenticated first. All of which is just a manipulation tactic to get the tutors to keep paying them. ### 1/5 — App crashes every time *2025-04-04, version 25.03.21* This app has literally stopped working for ios users, as soon as home interface opens you click anywhere it won’t work, doesn’t move top to bottom, message doesn’t work even after multiple attempts. It has been terrible experience using this app, sometimes happen with website as well on laptop. Idk why these are not getting fixed from company ### 1/5 — Snatches money from Tutors *2025-02-13, version 25.01.24* The application snatches money from tutors just for communicating back to a prospective student, even if the student and teacher has not signed up. This is a wrong model. There is no control whether the students are genuine candidates- or fake profiles. The tutors end up in connecting with these people paying money and getting nothing out of it. I think the business governance is completely missing. Needless to say its a new app with lot of technical issues. ### 2/5 — Absolutely worst experience as a tutor. *2025-02-01, version 25.01.24* Being a tutor since longtime on UrbanPro , I’m currently experiencing lot more issues to get right contact. First thing is the prices for membership for tutor got high and secondly for every student request 75 coins and that too not verified contacts. Out of 10 contacts 8 are not responding or not even reply on the text that means not verified from UrbanPro. I really don’t understand what the benefits to request for training?? It’s really pathetic as Tutor. ### 1/5 — App is a fraud *2024-12-04, version 24.10.25* The app requires you to pay an amount before connecting you to the students. I paid the amount of 699, a week ago but app wasn’t updated. I sent an email to the support team and provided them with every necessary screenshots but they didn’t help in any way and kept saying they didn’t receive my money when clearly they did. ### 1/5 — TOTAL SCAM! MONEY LOOTERS!! *2024-09-06, version 24.08.16* This app is total fake. They give 800 coins for 600 Rs. and for each call i received, 170 coins were deducted. That means for one call received your 127 Rs will be deducted and you would be able to receive just 5 calls for 600 Rs. And mostly the calls are fake. TOTAL SCAM!! MONEY LOOTERS! They don’t clearly specify it anywhere about coins usage. My coin balance was suddenly low upon receiving fake calls. Please avoid this app at all costs. ### 1/5 — Very disappointed waste of money *2024-06-29* I am extremely disappointed with Urban Pro Tutor. Despite receiving several inquiries, all the contact numbers provided were fake, and no one ever picked up the calls. This app is a complete waste of time and money. The quality of leads is abysmal, and it feels like a scam. The customer support is equally useless, offering no real assistance or solutions. The interface is clunky and difficult to navigate, making the whole experience even more frustrating. I had high hopes for this platform, but it has proven to be completely unreliable and ineffective. Do not waste your time or money on Urban Pro Tutor. The leads do not pick up calls. My initial investment is zero now. The chat system of raising queries is so lame. The tutor does not have any access to talk to any executive regarding any issue as there is no such provision. You really need to work on alot of things urbanpro. Else, people will just walk out like me after doing their initial payments. Very very very disappointed. ### 1/5 — Refund Request for 699/- *2024-03-12, version 2.33* I have done a subscription on this as a tutor and my coins got over and all the leads were blank , no response and now it says recharge . I would seriously want a refund for such bad experience as one customer even told I will put case on you if you guys call again . Please simply refund my hard earned money where I thought to get leads but it is not working. ### 1/5 — Absolutely Pathetic Experience as Tutor *2024-01-29* Students don’t answer the calls , messages anything and they want to take course outside of app . Biggest drawback is customer service is not at all available. They only call for sale of seminars. They are not at all interested in listening to grievances that I have faced. No where it is mentioned about the coins system. The on boarding process is all the way more worse. Person taking the session is not at all interested in addressing the issues which I had raised. I repeatedly requested her that if I can get another access for another on boarding process seminar because in her seminar, I couldn’t hear a single thing in spite of repeatedly telling her about the glitch which I faced. It’s that worse *2024-01-08, version 2.30* Some serious problems here: 1. For some unknown reasons, courses you create will have 1* rating by default, defying the whole purpose of enrolling for the paid program 2. No complaints and end number of follow ups can resolve the issue 3. Even though you have the highest profile ranking, still getting a genuine student will be a distant dream. Waste of time and money. 4. There are many efficient ways of getting students, value for money. But this is pure waste. 5. They have bugs continuing from more than five years where Reviews from students either don’t get registered or won’t appear on your profile. Conclusion: Just a waste of time and money, not worth. They are not bothered. ### 1/5 — Don’t use it in 2024 *2023-12-30, version 2.30* I would not recommend it to use in 2024 now the number is not visible so it’s impossible to convert (I’m using this app for year n half now n this is my current experience)plus u have to pay for every lead even if it’s not even your use plus the lead are expensive then Earlier. Sadly there’s no other competition so it’s monopoly. I have been listed on UrbanPro for more than 5-6 years. In recent times, the platform has shifted from being teacher-friendly to becoming a large business-centric platform. 1. High Commission Model: Teachers are being pushed to share 20-30% of their student fees with the platform. 2. Expensive Coins & Upgrades: Coin prices have increased significantly, and there is constant pressure to upgrade memberships with no guarantee of student leads. 3. Low-Quality Leads: In my experience, 60-70% of the queries received are fake or non-responsive. Students often do not answer calls. 4. Expensive Memberships: Membership costs have become very high, yet genuine student conversion remains very low. 5. Poor ROI: Even if you do get a student, you are required to share 20-40% of the fee with UrbanPro. My Suggestion: If you are a new tutor thinking of registering, I would advise you to stay away from UrbanPro for now and explore other platforms. What used to be a helpful marketplace has turned into a blatant money-making machine that offers zero accountability to its partners.  1. The "Fake Inquiry" Loophole Before you pay for a membership, you will be bombarded with notifications saying "students are viewing your profile" or "new inquiries in your area." The moment you pay for a subscription or buy coins, the quality of these leads vanishes. Most "students" never answer their phones, and many numbers provided are either invalid or belong to people who "never made an inquiry." It feels like the platform is filled with bot-generated leads just to drain your coins.  2. The Coin System is a Scam UrbanPro’s coin system is designed to make you lose money. You are charged a significant number of coins just to view a student's contact details. Even if the student doesn't pick up, or if the requirement was posted weeks ago and already filled, your coins are not refunded. You are essentially gambling your hard-earned money on "ghost" leads.  3. Ridiculous Commission & Policies Not only do they charge you to find a student, but they also try to take a massive 20% cut of your earnings if you use their payment gateway. If you try to talk to a student directly to verify their needs before spending coins, you risk getting your account suspended. They want total control over your business without providing any guarantee of a single actual student.  4. Non-Existent Support If you have an issue with a fraudulent inquiry or a technical glitch that ate your coins, good luck getting a refund. Their "Customer Support" is a maze of automated bots and offline chat windows. They have a "no refund" policy that they hide behind, even when the service they provided was clearly faulty.  Final Verdict: UrbanPro is no longer a platform for educators; it is a platform for collecting membership fees and coin payments. You are better off using local networking, Google My Business, or even social media. Always appreciated the opportunities they provided to the tutors. However, recently I am facing a lotttt of difficulties. First of all, per enquiry they are asking for “203” coins(this is too much). So if I get 800 coins I can contact only 3 students and again I have to buy more coins. Secondly, what has happened to your payment page urbanpro? Why unnecessary charges are added in the end. Also, there is technical glitch while doing the payment. The amount shown is triple the actual amount. Is this some kind of scam? I have recommended this app to so many tutors earlier but I don’t know whether it is credible or not anymore. It is a genuine suggestion from my side- lower the number of coins charged per enquiry. I paid 699 rs for the membership to them and they didn’t update it in the app for so long and I emailed them as well and they told me to ask for a refund from apple pay as they cannot do anything about it. They scam people and take money from them and dont update in their accounts. Cheap tricks ### 1/5 — BIG GLITCH *2025-10-09* The platform charges you for showing more leads, within the app starting with the launch of the application, setting up the account and sending enquiries, everything glitches. Even after uninstalling and reinstalling the application it doesn’t work and keeps loading. And I read other people’s reviews where they clearly mention about being overly charged with commission. I lost my money on the first day and didn’t get any leads so I will say, stay away. I honestly bought the premium, but to GIVE answers to the queries, you need to spend 143 coins! which they provide in exchange for payment. You pay for the subscription, and you know what they do? After asking 5 to 6 queries, you run out of coins and have to buy more! Then they use a fake number and call me, claiming they need tuition for LLB and so on. I asked the student, 'Tell me about your syllabus and which semester you are in,' but he was completely clueless. When I inquired about the new syllabus, there was no response. So, stay away from this. Back end people must be working very hard to keep the system up and on all the time. Chat support is excellent and very very helpful.
