## What is UrbanTreelogy?

Identify plants, diagnose problems from a photo, get plant care answers, and track plant health: UrbanTreelogy is a smart gardening companion built for small spaces. Made for balconies, windowsills, and apartments rather than backyards, it helps you map where your plants live, find ones that match each spot's light, your climate, and your lifestyle, then walks alongside you as you care for them.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

• Plant Assistant
Ask any plant question, with or without a photo. Identify a mystery plant, diagnose yellowing leaves, or get a second opinion on watering. Switch to Diagnose mode for a step-by-step recovery plan tailored to your plant, not generic advice.

• Find Plants
Map your balcony, windowsills, and rooms as light "spots," measure the light with the built-in light meter, then tell us your care style and the vibe you want: calm air-purifiers, edible herbs, or pure aesthetic. You get a curated shortlist of plants matched to each spot's real sunlight, so they actually thrive.

• My Garden
Keep track of every plant you own, organized by the spot it lives in, when you got it, and how it's doing. Your garden becomes a living journal you can return to, instead of a memory you have to maintain.

• Where to Buy
Save a plant to your wishlist, then find plant nurseries near you or shop trusted online stores, jumping straight from a wishlisted plant to searching a store for it. Keep a supplies list too: add what you need, set a reminder, tick it off when you have it.

• Care Plans
Get a personalized care routine tuned to your plants, your climate, and your gardening style. Daily care becomes a simple checklist, with day cards that follow your real local sunrise and sunset. Works offline once your plants' care guides are cached.

• Vacation Mode
Going away? Pick your dates on one calendar and get a pre-departure checklist, in-trip self-care setups, and a printable PDF guide for whoever is watching your plants, complete with watering schedules and your phone number for emergencies.

• Health Check-ins
Spot problems before they spiral. Quick weekly check-ins build a health timeline for each plant, with at-a-glance signals that show how your garden is doing over time, plus a gardening score and streak.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.7.2 — 2026-09-19

Location

- Picking a location is much faster now. The search used to pause for several
seconds before showing suggestions, then pause again after you chose one.
Both waits are gone for most people.

- The one tap restore of your previous location is back for everyone.
It used to appear only if you had changed your location a certain way, and never if
you set it during setup.

Care plan

- If you have not set a location yet, the care plan now asks for one instead
of building a plan for the wrong climate. Set it from that screen and the
plan follows straight away.

- A weekly care card headed with a future date no longer shows a red "missed"
dot. The dots now start from today, and the ones already behind you still
count toward your progress.

- The "Already settled" button in the settling-in banner is smaller and sits
with the plant chips.

### 1.7.1 — 2026-09-19

Where to buy
- Online stores show up even if you skipped the location step when setting up,
based on your phone's region. The list says where it got that from, and
setting your real location is one tap away.
- Suggesting a store opens a short form with your country already filled in,
so your request arrives complete.

A more consistent look
- Cards across My Garden, Vacation and Plant Health now share one visual
treatment, so a screen reads as one design instead of a mix.
- Plant cards show the month you added a plant and its goal tags on the same
line. A plant with four or five goals no longer stretches its card.
- The setup panel and the usage sharing box carry the app's own colour wash,
and setup now dims the screen behind it like every other pop-up.

Smaller things
- Trip dates in Vacation say which state they are in, before and after you
pick them.
- "Already settled" in the weekly care plan now looks like the button it is,
so it reads as a question rather than as something we decided for you.
- Store buttons no longer tint together when the Where to Buy list is pulled
past its end.

Profile
- Your location is always on the profile screen, whether or not you have set
it.

### 1.7.0 — 2026-09-14

Where to buy
• Supplies list: add what your plants need, set a reminder per item, tick things off as you get them
• Swipe to complete or remove, with Undo everywhere
• Pro: suggestions matched to the care tasks your own garden actually needs, added with one tap
• Nurseries near you no longer needs Pro
• Pick a wishlist plant or a supply item and every store search opens on it; tick a plant you found to add it to your garden

Care plan
• Works offline once your plants' care guides are cached, using the last climate reading when the forecast is out of reach
• The home card, the garden badge and reminders now agree with the plan screen about what is due today, so a plant still settling in is not asked for a feed early

Vacation
• One Trip dates tile opens a calendar for the whole trip; dates outside the limits are greyed out, nothing to type

Look and feel
• Ambient motion now has three levels: 'Gentle', the new default, keeps the canopy and trees swaying and the icons breathing; 'Full' adds the drifting leaves and fireflies
• Ambient sounds use the same three names
• A fresh install opens with a short welcome, played at your device's volume

Also
• A smaller download, with fonts the app never used removed
• Fixes to purchases and subscription status found in crash reports

### 1.6.5 — 2026-09-10

Reliability fixes.

- The app now recovers on its own if it could not reach our servers at launch, instead of staying offline until you force-quit.
- Deleting your account clears everything on this device immediately, including saved spots, the watering log and your last diagnosis.
- The Plant Assistant shows a proper error when a photo is too large or a request fails, rather than an error printed inside the answer.
- Changes you make on one device now reliably show up on your other devices.
- Reinstalling the app no longer brings back plants and spots you had already removed.
- Your plan is now recognized correctly on every launch, not only the first after install.
- Fixed a rare crash when leaving the Assistant tab during an answer.

### 1.6.4 — 2026-09-06

A warmer, calmer look for your plants, and a more dependable Pro.

YOUR CARDS, REDESIGNED

Goal icons are back on My Garden and Wishlist cards. A quick glance now
tells you whether a plant is there for its flowers, its fruit, its scent
or its greenery, without a wall of text. They sit in a soft lilac, kept
visually separate from the pet and child safety pills so the two are
never confused.

The cards themselves have warmed up. Cream surfaces instead of stark
white, a gentle tint washed through each header, softer borders and
shadows, and corners that are properly rounded all the way around. The
result is calmer to scroll through, which is rather the point of a
gardening app.

Small things that add up: fruit-bearing plants now carry a basket, the
date you added a plant sits neatly under its icon and shows just the
month and year, and each spot is introduced by a single clear header
rather than a scattered row.

FIXES

Pro now stays active when you sign out of your account. Previously it
could drop to Free for a while, and you could be asked to trim your
garden to fit the free limits even though your subscription was
perfectly valid. That is fixed, and your plants and spots are safe.

A purchase that the App Store completed is no longer reported back to
you as a failure.

Thank you for growing with us.
