## What is URC Mobile 2.5?

Leverage the power of your smartphone or tablet by turning it in to an amazing handheld controller for your URC® Total Control® 2 home automation system. Right from your mobile device easily control and monitor things such as entertainment, lights, security systems, thermostats and more in fast, new ways. Swipe, tap and rotate your way to securely control your equipment! 

This app gives you full control of all the features and full functionality afforded by a Total Control 2 system installation and more from multiple locations! Your main home and your vacation home can all be accessed from within one app. 

This version of URC Mobile requires a Wi-Fi connection to the local area network that is host to the Master Base Station / Central Processor and other system devices. Control is possible within the home or from anywhere in the world where internet or cell phone access is available. 


PLEASE NOTE: An installed Total Control 2 system is required to enjoy and access the features above. A new app installation or reset of the app requires the iOS device to be on-site with the Total Control Base Station.

I have to live with this app and have no choice. It's outrageous that the opt developer neither listens to no response to any comment or suggestions.

Mobile 2.0 was bad enough. But Mobile 2.5 is worse. They removed the old Rotary control for TV that enabled you to select menu or TV Guide! The rotary dial symbols was replaced with something more cryptic that does not allow you to open the TV Guide.

For several years we never had any issues with the app now my IPad constantly gives me the message your TOTAL CONTROL SYSTEM CANNOT BE FOUND. I try restarting both the IPad and the URC Base station and sometimes it works however it is usually for a short time before the problem reappears. Please fix and update the app!

You hear that noise? It’s the CLUNK of this app. My god I’ve never used such an unoptimized app it’s honestly ridiculous. Hardware is good, app is AWFUL. I bought a house that had URC gear (very expensive) already installed so I’m forced to use it. Just terrible.
