## What is URL Editor?

Nobody likes very long URLs that barely fit onto your screen. If you've ever gotten on of these in a message from a friend, you know that they are annoying and inconvenient. Not only that, but they usually contain a lot unnecessary information that is used to track you. And this where URLy comes in. URLy is beautiful URL editor that lets you modify any part of a given link that you pass in or create from scratch.

This app does its job super simply and incredibly well. Fast and easy to use and does exactly what it promises to. The shortcuts and other features show that the developer has spent time working to make it as easy to use as possible and the end result is a clean, well designed app that works really well every time! The big 2.0.0 update of URL Editor is finally here! There are several big changes:

- the app is finally ready for iOS 26 and Liquid Glass
- the navigation has been revamped so that the bottom toolbar now has more space for actually important stuff
- the app has been fully translated to German

Here's what's new in this version:

- Pressing return in the fields of the general section now moves on to the next textfield instead of dismissing the keyboard
- The "Resolve URL" button is now also disabled with additional conditions (for example X links can't be resolved, as they return a 403 error when sending a HEAD request)
- The Shortcuts Action to resolve the original URL now has a new toggle to allow a "soft fail" (in case of a failure, the original URL is simply forwarded to the next action)
- multiple smaller bugs have been resolved
