Wer merkt sich denn seine vergebenen Tags auswendig, um sie dann auch noch vollständig einzutippen. ### 2/5 — Gute Idee, aber schlechte Performance *2025-04-24* Gerade installiert habe ich meine Bookmarks von Safari importiert, exportiert und wollte dann speichern - was aber nicht funktioniert. Nach Minuten habe ich die App dann abgeschossen, neu gestartet - aber keine Änderung. Daher leider in der aktuellen Fassung nicht nutzbar. Umgebung: neuestes macOS, neuestes Safari, Mac mini M4. ### 4/5 — OK now *2024-07-08, version 6.4.4* I last reviewed this app in Dec 2023 and gave it 1 star as it did not work (despite the developer explaining how it should). I decided to give it another go in July 2024, and it works fine. I don't know whether my previous install was faulty or whether the app has been fixed, but I am happy with it now. Re-rated to 4 stars. ### 3/5 — DuckDuckGo *2024-05-01, version 6.4.4* Does not play well with DuckDuckGo browser. The HELP menu does not address this. In fact, the User Manual and website Tour seem to be for an older version of the app - Outdated. If I could get it to work properly, it would be a great app and maybe worth the excessive purchase price. ### 4/5 — Exporting Does Not Include Tags Info *2022-04-11, version 5.9.1* I have purchased the full version. My workflow is to export organized links for use in html pages. It would be a helpful feature if exported links with the option of incorporating a standard 'tags' attribute as found in many html bookmark files. Unfortunately this option does not appear to be available. By contrast notes are exported in an html file, which is nice. In other words, more granular options for exports (ex., excluding date attributes also) would be helpful. ### 5/5 — One of my most valued apps *2021-05-11, version 5.8* It's wonderful to have bookmarks available in multiple browsers. Very easy to organize the way one wants. Easy to add a bookmark by dragging or Command-K. Excellent support from the developer. Also available for iOS. The only negative I can say is that I see almost no publicity or advertising for this app. It should be a lot more popular than it is. It's sort of a secret gem. ### 4/5 — Übersichtlich - mit super Service *2021-01-05* Ich zahle gerne für Programme, wenn sie brauchbar sind, und der Service passt. Das passt beim URL-Manager alles zusammen. Da ich regelmäßig zwischen Geräten und Browsern wechsele, habe ich nun alle Lesezeichen zentral an einem Ort. Und das sehr übersichtlich. Auch der Kontakt mit dem Programmierer ist sehr nett und Hinweise und Fragen werden postwendend beantwortet. Sehr zu empfehlen! I like to pay for programs when they're usable and the service fits. It all fits together with the URL Manager. Since I regularly switch between devices and browsers, I now have all the bookmarks in one place. And that very clearly. The contact with the programmer is also very nice and hints and questions are answered immediately. We recommend! ### 5/5 — UPDATES ARE NON CONVENTIONAL *2020-11-14, version 5.5* RECTIFIED AFTER A FEW TRIES TO UPDATE. ### 3/5 — Good but dated *2020-10-09, version 5.4.3* I like this program, had it a long time ago and when I found it again I was quick to purchase. It's still good, but I would like it to sync with pinboard and online services. I would be a great 'front end' for those services and that would make it easier to sync it across computers and devices (phones and iPads). So I'll give it a great at what it does, but needs to do more to actualize it's potential as my primary bookmarking app. ### 3/5 — Umständlich *2020-05-21* Es erfordert sehr viel Glück eine Zeile zu markieren, ohne gleich in den Änderungsmodus für URL oder Titel zu springen. Ein einfacher Button zum löschen eines Bookmarks fehlt, auch ist in der Menüleiste hierzu nichst zu finden. Wenn man es dann mal geschafft hat die Zeile zu markieren kann man zumindest mit der Backspace Taste den Eintrag löschen. Die Importfunktion ist in der Testversion nicht richtig vorhanden, das was funktioniert importiert aber scheinbar auch nicht alle Bookmarks aus Chrome. Da es eine krumme Zahl an Einträgen ist die angezeigt werden kann ich jetzt nicht mit Sicherheit sagen, ob es ein Limit von der Funktion ist, oder ob es einfach nicht richtig funktioniert. Guter Ansatz, aber mir keine knapp 40 Euro wert. **Developer response:** Tip: A) Deaktivieren Sie die Einstellung : “Lesezeichen automatisch im Bearbeitungsmodus” B) Um ein Lesezeichen zu löschen: Bearbeiten Menu > Löschen Vielen Dank! ### 4/5 — Lastet version better sorted *2020-05-18, version 5.3* Initially, v5 seemed finicky about opening the bookmarks file on launch. Thanks, Alco! ### 5/5 — Für mich jetzt hilfreich *2020-05-14* Ich möchte meine Safari-Bookmarks auf Duplikate und tote Links prüfen und die korrigierte Liste dann wieder in Safari zurückschreiben. Funktionierte mit URL Manager Pro aber bisher leider nicht. Inzwischen wurde der URL Manager Pro stark verbessert und bietet nun die von mir gewünschten Möglichkeiten. Der Entwickler reagiert auf Anfragen auch sehr schnell. Das ist super. Daher vergebe ich jetzt 5 Sterne für das Programm. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Not Free *2025-02-17, version 6.4.5* Unless you pay $35 this app is useless. So it’s not really “free.” I’m coming from Windows where I used Linkman. ### 1/5 — You have to struggle with it before finding out the free version is junk *2024-10-08, version 6.4.4* The user experience is terrible, and the english documentation is terrible. A stand-alone bookmaks app is pretty weak. All I want is a One-Time cleanup and sort of Safari's bookmarks. But it takes several dialogs and steps to do that. THEN, when I try to save for safari, cha-ching! that's $35 dollars. I would not have bothered if that info was in the AppStore description, and I would not have have posted a low-star review. ### 1/5 — $35 to actually do any of the things advertised in the free app's description *2024-07-11, version 6.4.4* I'm a lifelong Windows/Android user, but I've been making an earnest attempt to learn the Apple ecosystem recently. I have some Safari bookmarks I'd like to automate organization for. Safari can't seem to do that, so I figure I'll try exporting them to Edge, which has a robust organizer. (Chrome's is terrible). Well, Edge isn't supported on my version of MacOS, so I'll see if there's a free app I can use.... I don't know how you lifelong Apple users manage to hold your noses all the time in this bait-and-switch cesspool of an App Store. I have followed your instructions and I see URL share button, I add an bookmark, but when I open URL app nothing shows up there. Also, if I click upper + button I get: “Couldn’t import document. failedToImportDocumentAtURL” By the way, I do have URL Pro on my Macbook and I love it. ### 1/5 — Sadly, this didn't work. *2022-12-23, version 6.1* I was looking for a powerful bookmark manager app, and this looks as though it would be suitable, however I spent hours following the instructions in the user manual trying to make it work with my Mac using Ventura with very little success. I really wanted it to succeed, but nope. Nützlich wäre die App erst, wenn sie eine Art Referenzmanager für Websites und Web-Zitate darstellte. Webarchive legt das Programm aber nicht an. Auch das Datum des letzten Zugriffs ist nicht exportierbar. Einen echten URL-Manager könnte natürlich jeder Journalist und jeder Wissenschaftler gut gebrauchen. Will man es vollkommen nutzen werden 27,99 € verlangt. Sorry, aber das ist für ein Lesezeichenprogramm für mich definitv zu teuer. **Developer response:** Please keep in mind that the VAT (TAX) is around 20% in most EU countries. On top of that, Apple takes 30% commision. So, the developer only gets 14 Euros... A wide variety of very useful features that cover most everything you want. It has some unique features that do not suffer from bloated interfaces. It does what it says it does elegantly. ### 5/5 — Amazing *2023-09-09* Best most comprehensive manager out there. It may look clunky at first but its build for function. You dont have to install any browser extension for it to work, it will work with most browsers. You simply add a bookmark by clicking on the icon in the menu bar and selecting a folder. I can sync over icloud and use it with my iphone. Well URL Manager Pro is different. And because of this it might seem a little bit “boring“ at first glance. But when you combine the simplicity of this tool along with the desktop application you have the ability to manage thousands of bookmarks if need be. Forget social bookmarking or visual bookmarking, this is for people that have some serious bookmarks! ### 5/5 — Alco ROCKS *2021-10-04, version 1.4* This is one of those apps I have used for many many years. It is extremely well maintained! The recent addition of the iPhone app is a wonderful addition.
