## What is urVault?

urVault is a private backup app for people who want complete ownership and control of their personal data. Instead of sending your photos and videos to a third-party cloud, urVault backs them up to a server you own — a home PC, a laptop, or a Raspberry Pi — so your data stays under your control at all times.

HOW IT WORKS
The free urVault server software runs on your own Windows or Linux machine. Install it, open its dashboard, and pair your iPhone by scanning a QR code. No cloud account, no port forwarding, no router configuration.

A NOTE ON BACKGROUND BACKUPS
iPhone runs background tasks opportunistically — the system decides when, typically while charging on Wi-Fi. You can always start a backup yourself at any time from the main screen.

Backups now check themselves against your server on every scheduled run and re-upload anything that went missing. Also includes the storage-space warning and the licence-activation fix from the previous release.
