### 3/5 — Great app but,

*2020-04-16, version 2.3.1*

Please move the ad to the bottom of the screen as right now it covers the text.

### 2/5 — One thing

*2019-10-28*

Remove the ad at the top because it prevents me from seeing what I’m typing

### 2/5 — Banners ads

*2019-10-20, version 2.3.1*

The banner boards on top of page interfere with message board .

### 4/5 — Thanks

*2019-04-11, version 2.3.1*

A big thanks for this app, lost voice 6months ago. Massive help with my 3 grandchildren, they think it is cool. Helped me to smile again.

### 4/5 — Very Pleased!

For the money, it's a great app. This is a simple to use app with an easy interface that does what it says it will do. It provides a very good means of type-to-speech that is coherent and fairly natural sounding.

The voices are not perfect, but way, way, better than most that I've sampled. I like that you can adjust speed and pitch of the voices which gives you even more flexibility.

You will never fool anyone that this a real person speaking, but it's pretty convincing for the applications most people will use it for.

Some others have suggested improvements which I agree with, and perhaps they will make those improvements.

I bought the upgraded full version to use during a severe laryngitis period and was able to actually have fun conversing during dinners with my wife while not straining my voice! I saved several stock phrases like, "Oh really, tell me more." and "What happened next?" which I could just click on to keep the conversation going.

All in all, I give it a great rating, and hope they upgrade it soon. Money well-spent!

### 4/5 — Rating

*2019-01-24, version 2.3.1*

A bit hard to set up and if I can find it could do with bigger letters so it’s easier to see what I type
Other than that I fully recommend

### 3/5 — Great help

*2018-05-19, version 2.3.1*

This is a great app for me as I have lost the ability to talk. Before I used white boards all the time. Only thing that lets it down for me is the voice choices. To robotic. However would recommend for ease of use

### 4/5 — Needs one simple thing.

*2018-01-10*

I’d like to see a way to listen to a recording starting at a spot other than the beginning. Sometimes you just want to check a correction you’ve made and don’t need or want to hear the whole recording. Other than that, it works very well.

### 3/5 — Good App.

*2017-08-21*

I like this app. I can't talk at times do to severe TMJ pain and severe anxiety. I like that it talks slowly and clearly and if you're using a period at the end of a sentence it stops then continues on. It also expresses how I'm feeling when using an exclamation point, ect...What I don't like is the advertisements at the top of the app while using it and you have to pay if you want to use more then what's offered for free. But otherwise I like it and will continue to use this app.

### 3/5 — Cool

*2017-08-16*

This is great. An app that can talk for me. I was using google translate to type something and press the microphone button. This makes it way easier for me, because I'm on the spectrum

### 4/5 — Good. Could be great

*2017-06-09, version 2.3.1*

Great choice of female voices, too few male voice choices. Simple to use and it stores phrases, which helps communication flow more easily. In 'settings' you can adjust speed and tone of voices which is helpful for customising the app. £4.99 gets you the premium version which will be my next purchase. In comparison to some AAC apps. UrVoice is extremely competitive. Works with iPad iPhone & iPod, highly recommended

### 2/5 — I can't press the talk button

*2017-05-08, version 2.1.1*

The app works fine I just cant press the talk button because the settings button is in the way

### 5/5 — Love it

*2017-04-13, version 2.1.1*

Siri can now say anything

### 1/5 — Ad covers the text box

*2021-02-20*

Ad covers the text box

### 1/5 — Add’s block the top of the app

*2020-02-07, version 2.3.1*

Also doesn’t allow copy and paste into the box

### 1/5 — Ad placement makes it useless

*2019-12-20*

There is a banner ad across the top that covers where you type. Closing the ad still leaves the banner space saying that Google closed the ad. Then another ad comes up. Really bad design. Deleting app now.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Works great on IOS 9.3.5 in 2021

*2021-04-13*

I'm autistic and sometimes can't speak, I have been nonverbal for a little less than a week straight right now and have used this app to communicate with my family and a few others.
I am using the free version right now and love it. The voice is not the best but it works, and being able to program the buttons has been HUGE for me. I can only do three with the free version, I have yes, no, and ok. I have tried some apps I prefer on my phone but I definitely prefer to type on my iPad and this is the best app I found that supports 9.3.5. Once I get some money I will look into the not free version if I decide that this is still the best app for me. I'm planing on looking into some other free options with more buttons and see how I like that. I love this app, I would like more buttons and a better voice but other than that it's pretty perfect

### 5/5 — Just great

*2020-07-23, version 2.3.1*

It does what suppose to do, helps to speak up my mind..

### 5/5 — Really good value and so helpful

*2020-02-02, version 2.3.1*

As an autistic adult, I am blessed with being able to speak most of the time. However I often struggle to say what I need, especially in times of stress or during appointments with professionals. This app as given me my voice back and I can use it to say what I need to! I can save phrases I might need like “please leave me alone I am having a melt down” or my name and date of birth. And it costs so little to remove the ads. Thank you for helping me feel able to talk again without having to spend out on expensive software or devices.

### 5/5 — Excellent!

*2017-11-13*

I have chronic laryngitis and use this app almost daily. I use it with a blue tooth speaker to make the volume loud enough for my hard-of-hearing husband to understand. The voices can be customized in settings to meet your needs.
