Maybe I’m too old but this is difficult, strange and almost impossible to use… so I’m firing you. Maybe I’m too old, but I can’t use your software and goodbye… signed Joe Holly. ### 1/5 — New Smartly customer *2025-01-27* This is without exception the worst investment banking app I have ever experienced. Instead of telling the devs what's wrong, I will encourage them to compare this app to Fidelity, Schwab, Think or Swim, Robinhood, etc. And USBI has the gall to charge brokerage customers $5 per stock/ETF trade and a $50 annual fee for this? I wouldn't even consider USBI were it not for the Smartly Visa rewards structure, which essentially requires one to invest capital in order to reach the highest cash back tier. Its utility is thus limited to a "set it and forget it" approach. Don't do this to yourself if you're a frequent trader. ### 1/5 — Fees and commissions everywhere *2025-01-10, version 4.9.47* Schwab, Vanguard, fidelity, IBKR are better with cost, service, and app. Us bank still has a 4.95 commission on buying and selling. To waive commission for the first 160 trades, you need to have a “smartly” checking account. By the way the checking account has fees! The app is more antique than either of the 4 brokers mentioned earlier. The login only works by first logging into my US bank app, then pressing the button to launch the investments app. The investment app launches with an error message, but continues and everything is fine thereafter. I think there is a mismatch with user authentication between the two apps. ### 1/5 — Barely adequate *2024-06-11, version 4.9.11* Not a good platform for trading ### 2/5 — Needs better coding *2024-06-05* I am a loyal customer of 30+ years and the app falls well below what I have come to expect of USBank. The widgets used in the app lead to multiple loading errors. Which I would be able to overlook if it didn’t include the login page as well. Which means if I want to manage my affairs I must do so from my computer. I would say that I have grown accustomed to certain aspects of this app. I echo other reviewers and will advise that if you open an account there is an annual management fee. Which means you need to make sure you have some cash in your account. However, from what I’ve learned you should also have some liquid cash in your account. I also like how the phone bankers - while not giving advice - can point the right direction to education and provide education when needed. That is incredibly helpful. And the reason why I am so loyal to USBank. I cannot imagine that how this app has been designed is how USBank wants its image. On one hand, the customer service I have received is second to none when it comes to personal interactions. But the app has so many glitches that it’s not usable half the time. ### 2/5 — Interface is horrible *2024-05-23, version 4.9.11* Tracking, researching is painful with this app. I research on computer and use the app to clumsily trade.
