## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — INACCURATE AS IT GETS

*2025-10-18*

it is the most inaccurate app I’ve seen based on it says that 1993 or deficit with that 4.23 trillion but now it’s at almost 38000,000,000 .And it consistently is going up with no hiccups and it’s just an inaccurate, everyone else’s almost $1 trillion less.

**Developer response:** The app shows the US Treasury's number, not mine.

Every figure comes from Debt to the Penny at fiscaldata.treasury.gov.
That series starts April 1, 1993 at about $4.23 trillion, so the 1993 figure you saw is the Treasury's own first day.

The trillion dollar gap is timing. The debt passed $37 trillion in August 2025 and $38 trillion on October 21, 2025. You wrote on October 18, when headlines still said $37 trillion and the daily figure was near $37.9 trillion.

It climbs most business days because the Treasury sells securities most business days. It flattened for months in 2025 while the debt ceiling held. Find a day where the app disagrees with the Treasury and I will fix it.

### 1/5 — Show’s predictions of information

*2020-10-25*

Unfortunately the (+) & (-) of this information doesn’t elaborate where the money is coming from or going to. Otherwise that’s just numbers on a page. Without any traceability you really don’t need this app.

### 3/5 — Would like to see more options

*2019-01-04*

The newer simplified view has fewer options. Would appreciate being able to make a custom range of dates beyond the standard ones, such as being able to zoom in on a past segment. Overall this still provides great information and is definitely useful, so keep it up!

### 5/5 — Scary

*2026-07-03*

We need to pay this down. Tariffs were a great idea. We need to get people off welfare and make it. WORKfare.

### 5/5 — App has lots to offer

*2026-04-23*

Hi does anyone know how to spend this much to run the USA ?

### 5/5 — US debt

*2023-02-06*

Good information, immediately

### 5/5 — National Debt

*2023-01-12*

Helps to keep track of what our politicians are spending. In my opinion every politician, government dept, committee, etc should start their day or meetings w/ this app & debt amount. I think then the government would be more cognizant about spending waste. I wish the app would show debt in relation to what it was a yr ago, then 5 yrs, 10 yrs.

### 5/5 — App has bugs

*2022-09-24*

Hi does anyone know how to debug this app?

### 5/5 — The only app with this info

*2020-08-01*

Although this information is published for free online by our own government, it's at times hard and obscure to find these numbers.

I assume the developer is using either the DTS or the treasury direct api? In either case, it would be awesome to see a breakdown per security type / maturity date. Better yet, understanding how much debt is coming due each day, and then correlating that with what type of securities were issued that day to cover that redemption, plus add more "new money".

Another thing to consider, looking at the daily interest costs of carrying the growing debt. Surprisingly, it's gown down as the debt balloons! Seeing this in an app would be fantastic.

You get 5 stars for even getting this info out there. Thank you! Also, loving the new updates.

The only way this could be improved is by telling us what country's we owe the money to

### 5/5 — Awesome!

Love the interactive chart on the bottom, very useful to see the change overtime.
