## What is US Sailing Bookstore?

The US Sailing Bookstore provides you access to the digital publications of US Sailing through your mobile devices. We offer a wide variety of sailing-related publications, including The Racing Rules of Sailing, Basic Keelboat, Start Powerboating Right, Learn Sailing Right, and US Sailing membership materials. By downloading ahead of time, you can read your selections anywhere and anytime, even when out on a boat with limited cell service or on an airplane. Additional features include the ability to highlight, book mark and search for text.

I tried logging in with my us sailing username and password but it wouldn’t recognize them. I have no problems on the website so I contacted the support chat but they couldn’t help me. What a useless app!

The app breaks the reliability rule. Crashes a lot and time consuming to restart. Nevertheless it’s all we’ve got and although the previous version worked flawlessly the new versions are trouble. The great part about this app is that it searchable it does have the racing rules of sailing with Dave Perry integration (5 stars on Dave). Can’t do without it but certainly wish it was better.

Previous version was great this one horrible. Keeps crashing and unusable. 

No wonder we can’t win any medals we can’t even produce a simple app that works.

### 1/5 — 2017 Rules presentation takes a step back to the dark ages!

The 2009 and 2013 rules apps were great!  They made finding rules, flags, definitions, etc. a breeze. With the 2017 shift to a "bookstore" presentation approach, things have really taken a turn for the worse. The easy to read text is gone -- now blurry and tiny. The simple navigation is gone--no more quick links to rule sections at the bottom of the screen. The app now takes two clicks to open, and even if you "download" the rules they still take forever to load. PLEASE BRING BACK THE "RULES APP" FOR THE 2017 RULES!!!!!  At least in the meantime, this app does let you see the rules on your phone/iPad--that is better than nothing.

For members of USSailing, the download of the 2017-2020 Racing Rules is free and there are hot link annotations to explanations from Dave Perry's book. It did seem to take a while to install on my iPhone, but works great now. It should be handy to have aboard.
