### 4/5 — Needs update

*2026-05-24, version 3.0.5*

Must update for newer version of test and not just the current term.

### 3/5 — All of above

*2025-02-01, version 3.0.5*

Good for practice however in question challenge, on some questions if user selects just 1 correct answer out of 2 more correct one instead of “all of above” it marks it wrong and resets the challenge. This implies user needs to answer all multiple options on test, which think is not correct. Once you have practiced enough the goal is to practice with these challenges so user would be selecting correct answers fast & waste time reading all options to select all of above, making mistake which shouldn’t be a mistake on first place. They should allow both answers, any correct or all of above as acceptable and let users continue with challenge.
Also answers repeat after 100 so there is no difference, it should have different correct answer option in each set of 100, else it’s same answer again and again (challenge will be knowing all answer options)

### 3/5 — Test answers correction needed

*2024-09-26, version 3.0.2*

So app it self is great, and test is good, but when question is “name 2” there should be option with 2 answers or ability to checkmark those 2 answers, and not “all answers correct” as it would be already more than “name 2” its kinda misleading and you keep dropping in “Question challenge”.

### 2/5 — Time for an update?

*2024-05-08, version 3.0.2*

Who is the current Vice President? Mike Pence…
What party does the current President represent? Republican…

Not a great look from the official app of Homeland Security.

### 5/5 — Good tool for practicing

*2024-01-20, version 3.0.2*

The app works great and it is very useful for reviewing civics questions. As of now (Jan 2024), all answers that vary when government officials change after elections, retirements, or other, are up to date. As an improvement, the app could ask the user for his/her state of residency and then have the several state-specific questions also included in the tests, with the applicable answers

### 5/5 — Useful app

*2023-09-21, version 3.0.0*

This helped a lot. After practicing a few times the actual interview was completely painless. The question challenge is also kind of fun but if you get to the end of the list of 100 it just repeats until you accidentally pick the wrong answer. Thank you to whoever thought of making an app.

### 5/5 — Great

*2023-08-05, version 3.0.0*

It’s free and easy to use. No complaints.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2023-01-25, version 3.0.0*

I used it for my civic test. App structure is very easy to understand. Questions used are very good. Overall, I would recommend this app to whoever is appearing for naturalisation.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Outdated

*2026-06-26, version 3.0.5*

Great app, WAS very useful. Now the 2025 quiz is required and has additional questions and reworded some of the old answers, rendering this app useless. Not helpful to memorize answers that may or may not be correct anymore.

### 1/5 — 2026 update needed

*2026-06-14, version 3.0.5*

This needs to be updated to 2026 questions.

### 1/5 — Only the old questions

*2026-05-06, version 3.0.5*

This test does not incorporate the broader 128 question pool recently established. Needs an update!

### 1/5 — Outdated

*2026-02-10, version 3.0.5*

I got the link to this app after my biometric: no printed questions, only the link.
So I suppose I should test myself with mostly outdated, useless quotations. This is weird to have the app like this from the official developer. Please update the list of questions.

### 1/5 — Update please

*2026-02-09, version 3.0.5*

Please offer an updated version that reflects the new test format. Thank you

### 1/5 — Need an update!

*2026-01-30, version 3.0.5*

At this point this app is useless. Today is January 30, 2026 and it is still not updated with a new test form.

The new test, effective for filers on/after October 20, 2025, increased from 100 to 128 potential questions.
Passing Criteria: 12 out of 20 questions (60% accuracy) must be answered correctly.

### 1/5 — Needs UPDATE ASAP

*2026-01-08, version 3.0.5*

Only has 100 from the old test, need to be updated to 128

### 1/5 — Bad

*2024-06-17, version 3.0.2*

“What are two ways Americans can participate in their democracy?”. Answer : All of the above.. that’s more than 2..

### 1/5 — What’s going on with the pronunciation

*2023-07-23, version 3.0.0*

You all need to check how this sounds!

### 1/5 — Wrong Answers

*2023-01-23, version 3.0.0*

I am studying in 2023 and the answers are may be not updated cause it is giving me wrong answers. Folks careful with it.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Update

*2025-11-24, version 3.0.5*

When is going to get updated?

### 5/5 — Immediately yes!

*2025-06-14, version 3.0.5*

I used this app everyday leading up to my exam. The questions are easy to understand and they shuffle the questions around. Such a great tool! I was able to pass my test the first time around!

### 5/5 — Very useful but make sure you memorize the answer

*2025-06-14, version 3.0.5*

The app is great and help me pass with flying colors since I practice it daily until I get 100 question right BUT you must remember some of the answers like date and number since actual civics test is NOT a multiple choice test. Highly recommended and easy peasy.

### 5/5 — Worked Great and Passed

*2025-05-06, version 3.0.5*

As soon as you find out when your interview is scheduled for (usually 2-3 months away) download this app. Do a test a day and you will not fail the exam. I did 6/10 questions because i got the first 6 right and didn’t need to keep going. It’s a great app and you can see the history and errors.

### 5/5 — Helped me Study

*2025-02-02, version 3.0.5*

This app was great for someone who is always on the go and doesn’t have time to sit down to study! It was easy to navigate and very helpful! One piece of feedback for the developers, the questions are mostly multiple choice on the app, maybe include a tab where learners need to type out the answers? This helps with retention vs repetition!

### 5/5 — Excellent source

*2025-01-25, version 3.0.5*

Great tool for any new applicants. Don’t search any other app. Kudos to the developers 👏

### 5/5 — Exactly what it says it does

*2024-11-27, version 3.0.2*

It has the list of questions you get during the civics test. It is up to date. Not much more to ask for, really. I do wish they also had the local questions and their answers based on your location, like questions on who your senators or representatives are. So do read over the questions on your own time too, to make sure you see all of them.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2024-05-21, version 3.0.2*

The clean aesthetic is everything!
It’s great to have all the 100 questions available to read.
The test is great and I love the feature to take run the test until you get an error. Its a great and way to learn. In one day I crushed through it and remembered so much already.

A great feature would be to have an interview like test. Where we get the questions without pre offered answers. And either have to type it in or speak it.

One issue, the speaking option is not working for me. When I tap on it nothing happens. No matter how loud my volume is turned on.

### 5/5 — Recommend app for Civics test

*2024-04-14, version 3.0.2*

This is a great app, and certainly helped me be comfortable about taking the Civics test. I like that you can do testing in 2 ways, and that it’s updated when names change.

### 5/5 — Easy to use

*2024-03-23, version 3.0.2*

Hi there. This is an excellent resource to use when studying for your citizenship test. I especially liked that I could cover the face of my phone, hear the questions being read out loud, recall the answer and then check the app to determine if my response was accurate. God bless and good luck with your application and the test.
