This app is beyond frustrating to use. It randomly defaults to video and when it does it will not stop recording until the phone is physically disconnected from the scope. It will not shut off nor will it allow you to take a single image for diagnostic engine work. Unfortunately I have to continue using this with my Borescope ### 2/5 — Software needs serious improvement, but… *2023-12-16, version 2.0.16* I bought the endoscope for jobs like working under a car’s instrument panel, or like today in the dark recesses of a washing machine. When I first received the endoscope, downloaded this software and tried it to verify it worked (it did) I put it with my other diagnostic tools and didn’t use it again until yesterday. It didn’t work. I tried reinstalling this software, I tried plugging in the endoscope first, I tried flipping the ‘lightening’ plug, re-seating it, re-booting my phone, etc.. Nothing worked. I gave up and threw the endoscope in the trash. But then this morning I realized I hadn’t tried fully closing all apps (swipe up) and then re-booting. With my phone freshly booted I started this app, waited 15 seconds or so, then plugged the endoscope in. The software recognized the endoscope immediately and it worked fine. ### 1/5 — Not Fantastic *2023-12-10, version 2.0.16* Worked perfectly on my 12 Max Pro but now on my 15 Max Pro nothing shows at all. Tried a million different configurations with the cables, reinstalling, etc. and nothing, just won’t do anything. Really disappointing. Luckily the camera was gifted, but I would be pretty upset if I paid for something completely useless. I do not use my otoscope camera everyday or even every week but often enough. The last time I used it was before Christmas and I didn’t have any problems. Last night I tried to use it and it would not connect to my phone. Yes, it’s the same phone. I have gone through clearing my phone’s cache, restarting, deleting the app and reinstalling it. Nothing has worked!! Per the repeated instructions in the user manual, use an authentic iPhone cable, NOT the cable and adapters included with the camera. I downloaded the app, hooked up the camera to my iPhone with a genuine cable, and had zero problems using it. Super easy to get going and liked the the multiple adapters. Haven’t tried the iPhone yet as my plug on there is janky and needs to be replaced from years of abuse.
