### 4/5 — Alternative to Tampermonkey or Other PC Userscript Extension Only

*2026-05-27, version 1.8.6*

Unlike Tampermonkey that doesn't support iPadOS or iOS, Userscript

might also be the great app with the Apple Mobile Platform support as

well, but theres some problems, it Lacks Foreign Website support,

meaning it only supports Safari instead of just using Foreign Website, so

yeah i might leave a Review as a Great.

### 3/5 — Decent, but a hassle

*2026-05-10, version 1.8.6*

It mostly works ok, but there are more capable tools for this on the App Store.

What I dislike about this one is how it makes you use a separate text editor along with the Files app to load scripts. It has nothing built in to let you just paste and edit some text, which I'm sure is over 95% of use cases.

Instead you have to use one or two other apps, for a total of three just to essentially load a few lines of text. Or you can connect your phone to a computer, which I expect is the developer's intent.

It's especially bothersome to use on iPhone because Apple doesn't allow the Files app to show up in Spotlight search. It's all just friction for no reason.

### 2/5 — bug

*2026-04-29, version 1.8.6*

最新版本系统点击直接会退出浏览器

### 4/5 — Fix pls

*2026-03-29, version 1.8.6*

The app does its job, but my god, I have to add new JS like 10 times before it actually starts working. The app keeps reverting the code back to a previous version on its own. And when I delete all the JS files, the app restores them by itself (even ones I deleted a week ago). It’s easier for me to just delete and reinstall the app than to try to update my code.

### 5/5 — Best thing since sliced bread

*2026-02-08, version 1.8.6*

They said it's impossible but this dev pulled it off. Userscripts allows you to do thousands of things that were previously desktop only. I have even written some scripts for it myself. It's very stable and works flawlessly with Safari. Please keep up the great work.

### 3/5 — It doesn't work properly.

*2026-01-16, version 1.8.6*

If you want to activate Script with this app, For some reason, it doesn't work at all.
Please correct it.

### 5/5 — Works great with Safari - tnx

*2025-12-29, version 1.8.4*

Periodically forget the default directory with scripts (iPhone→userscirpts). I used to keep them in (iCloud→Userscripts) but the app forgets this directory even more often. In short, I have to constantly specify where the scripts are.
Aside from this bug, the app is awesome, thank you very much!!!

definitely recommended. Gladly going to update to 5 star, once this addressed.

Thanks

Update
The bug with “cloud folder location amnesia” almost gone. And I have to change location from (iPhone/Userscripts) folder to (iCloud/Userscripts) folder only once in a weeks or so. so I guess this is some rare untraceable issue, but I can live with that.
Updated to 5 stars. Thanks

### 4/5 — Satisfactory to an extent

*2025-12-29, version 1.8.4*

It works right but then the enxt second it just stops working I know its not an issue with the code im using as it works fine when the extension is working properly

### 5/5 — Brilliant

*2025-12-01, version 1.8.2*

What a great App. Took me way to long to find this gem.

### 4/5 — Broke until reinstall

*2025-10-31, version 1.8.2*

I love the extension but recently it stopped running scripts completely until I force uninstalled/reinstalled it. Not even restarting my phone fixed the problem, only deleting and reinstalling it

### 3/5 — Quitte (crash ?) fréquemment

*2025-10-29*

Depuis cette version, Userscript quitte régulièrement, obligeant à redéfinir le répertoire de scripts. Pénible...
J'ai été obligé de passer à une app concurrente en attendant un fix.
Problem acknowledged by dev. Suggested work around (use local directory instead of iCloud) not relevant since I already use a local iPad directory

**Developer response:** Hello, thanks for your review, judging from the error log reported by users earlier, this is an upstream error that we cannot solve. It may occur on some specific devices and we also cannot reproduce it. Our current recommendation is to use a local directory rather than Cloud Drive. But we will try to provide better error prompts and improve user experience in subsequent reconstructions.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2026-07-24, version 1.8.6*

Open source, no frills, free. Works great. Not all scripts work but I think that is just a limit of iOS. But overall it works great.

### 5/5 — Weirdly few reviews for one of the greatest safari extensions

*2026-06-07, version 4.8.6*

Safari has far less extensions than Chrome or even Firefox. Userscripts are browser agnostic. This is the best userscript application. This is FOSS. How hard can a piece of software deserve 5 stars? This software deserves 6 stars. It’s sort of sad that userscripts aren’t more popular.

### 5/5 — Programmer Stranded w/ Only An iPad? Get Your Soul Back w/ Userscripts

*2026-05-28, version 1.8.6*

I've been sans computer or laptop for nearly 3 years. The amount of things I found myself unable to do was getting to be egregious and soul crushing. I think Shortcuts is alright, if you don't mind the worst and slowest workflow imaginable. Then, one day, the universe put Userscripts in my path, and my iOS has since started therapy for the amount of disrespect I've been able to give it! Seriously, you can accomplish an inordinate amount of stuff with this. I made a widget with a picture of orange soda, and when you press it, you are prompted to speak: you must ask it "Who loves orange soda?". In return, it says "KEL LOVES ORANGE SODA!". As for useful things, you can create Progressive Web Apps like I did with a small game engine that emulates a terminal and plays like a modern text adventure game. I've made an application for adding lore to my worldbuilding dictionary. I could go on, but I can't recommend Userscripts enough for fans of mayhem and people on deserted islands like me!

### 5/5 — Excellent extension

*2026-05-27, version 4.8.6*

This gem is exactly what I was looking for: a simple way to customize the look & feel of the websites I use daily. Well done, devs.

### 5/5 — Good but …

### 5/5 — super hilfreich

*2026-03-18, version 1.8.6*
