### 3/5 — Handy but very clunky

*2025-01-20*

2025 update: the app was updated in January. It still crashed instantly for me until I deleted and reinstalled. I’m on iOS 18.1.1

2020 update: back to one star because if you don’t give full time location access it stays stuck on the launch screen with “Loading Stations” and nothing happening. This is with iOS 13.4.1

2019 update: glad it's available and working again. Not liking the request to use location even when app not open.

Also: why no stations in Provo???

Original review (June-December 2017): crashing on launch for me. Not liking the non-standard navigation elements and charts sometimes were extremely distorted.

### 2/5 — Buggy app

*2023-12-31*

This app has become really buggy, and often crashes upon trying to open it. I keep having to delete and re-download it. The main screen frequently doesn’t accurately reflect current conditions, I always have to go to the trend charts to get a more reliable view.

### 2/5 — Lacks clarity; not user friendly.

*2023-12-20*

I downloaded this to determine when I can use my fireplace. The display seems to give conflicting information, and the three-day forecast includes the current day, and the prediction for the current day (bottom of the screen) often does not match the symbol for current conditions (top of the screen).
Generally speaking, in good with technology and I am an excellent reader, but this app seems to require scientific understanding that is not common knowledge and is not explained in the app. All I really want is a simple, “Yes, you can use your fireplace now,” “voluntary restrictions are recommended,” or “No, don’t burn thing right now.”
I’m also not sure which location is nearest my home. There are several stations in my county, but most are named after I-don’t-know what. Only one station name is a city name that is familiar to me, and one location literally says, “near road,” for a county that is a major metropolis.

### 4/5 — Great app, not sure what the reviews are about

*2020-10-23*

Would be cool to get a widget if possible for my home screen

### 2/5 — No ozone trend graph in June? Come on, you can do better than this!

*2020-06-07*

I appreciate that the app lays out the data in a simple easy to check layout. However, I also expect the data to be seasonally relevant. So why do you only provide a trend graph for PM instead of the trends for ozone? Yeesh!

### 1/5 — ☹️

*2017-12-12, version 2.14*

Crashes on startup

### 1/5 — Too bad

*2017-12-11*

Went to open this app now that inversion season is here and got nothing but crash/close.

I see from the reviews that this has been happening for awhile (haven’t used it since last winter). I hope it’s fixed soon - very useful when it works!

### 1/5 — Crashes on startup

*2017-12-08*

Used to be a convenient way to check the current air quality, forecast and burn / no burn status.

Completely broken now and should be removed from the App Store.

### 1/5 — Omg please fix

*2017-12-07*

I didn't want a fine your app is being suggested to download. To check before we light our wood fireplace. Doesn't even bring up The counties I've uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times on my I pad and I phone no luck.

### 1/5 — Disappointed

*2017-12-06*

This app WAS great but for the past several months the app doesn’t even open. What’s up?

### 1/5 — Bad

*2017-12-03*

This app used to be good now it doesn’t load properly, or crashes, or gets stuck.
I deleted it.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work on latest Apple iPhone IOS

*2017-11-30*

Four stars when it works. One because it hasn’t for some time.

### 1/5 — Crash fixes?

*2017-11-15*

I look at this app every day during inversion season, but I can’t get it to open now and there doesn’t seem to be patch yet. Please bring it back!

### 1/5 — Doesn't work anymore

*2017-11-10, version 2.14*

Used to love this app during the winter of 2016/17. As of nov 2017 the app would crash on startup. Reinstalled it and now it's stuck on a blank screen that appears to want me to select my county.

### 1/5 — Junk

*2017-09-24, version 2.14*

All I want to do is check if it’s a green burn day. You can’t even locate your home in the “regions” and can’t back out if the stupid app. I deleted immediately.

### 3/5 — Used to love; can't use now

*2017-08-31*

I used to love this app and I used it all the time. For the last month or so it doesn't work. Crashes on start up and I can't even open it. I'd like to be able to use it again, so I hope they can figure out the issue. Thanks!

I have now deleted this app. I'm happy to reinstall once it's up and working again.

### 1/5 — Crashes on launch every time

*2017-08-29, version 2.14*

I used to love this app but after the last couple of updates it simply doesn't work anymore. It crashes every time I try to launch it. When I reinstalled it, it would open, but provided a blank "counties" screen, without the ability to go back a step. This app, unfortunately, has become useless. I wish the developer would pay attention to these reviews.

### 2/5 — Used to be great, but

*2017-08-08, version 2.11*

Crashing immediately upon launch

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Handy but very clunky

*2025-12-24*

2025 update 2: the app was updated in December and I’m taking away two stars until it’s fixed. A nice map feature was added but it’s worthless as-is since I can’t select any of the stations and my old favorites have been steamrolled.

2025 update 1: the app was updated in January.

Original review (June-December 2017): crashing on launch for me. Not liking the non-standard navigation elements and charts sometimes were extremely distorted.

### 1/5 — Unreadable areas of screen

*2022-02-13, version 4.06*

On iPhone Good, moderate, bad instructions are permanently superimposed over the three day forecast area making both pretty unreadable. Screens alternate from portrait for most of the app to landscape for trends which is awkward. On android the temperature and wind speed are only words, no actual values. Needs work

### 1/5 — App Crashes Every Time

*2020-09-28*

I’m able to open it to the Salt Lake Rose Garden. If you try to work it in any way it crashes.

### 1/5 — Stopped working

*2020-07-17, version 4.01*

The app no longer works. I open the app and it doesn’t get past the loading screen. I’ve deleted and re-downloaded the app, which did not fix the issue. Clicking the link for support opens a web browser with “ok” being the only thing that displays.

### 1/5 — It used to work.

*2020-07-09*

I’m not sure what happened. Latest version update greatly reduced usability on my iPhone. Some screens are locked in portrait while others are landscape. Lost all my selections. It’s definitely a big step backwards.

### 1/5 — Handy if a little clunky...

*2020-07-05, version 4.0*

2020 update: back to one star because if you don’t give full time location access it stays stuck on the launch screen with “Loading Stations” and nothing happening. This is with iOS 13.4.1

2019 update: glad it's available and working again. Not liking the request to use location even when app not open.

Original review (June-December 2017): crashing on launch for me. Not liking the non-standard navigation elements and charts sometimes were extremely distorted.

### 1/5 — Stopped Working

*2020-07-05*

I do not use location services on my devices, and this app stopped working with the latest release. I think it’s because the new release wants location data instead of allowing me to use the app to choose the stations I want to see. I’m going to stop using the app rather than change my settings even though I once liked it. Sorry...

### 1/5 — Crashes after launch

*2017-12-29*

Refuses to launch.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work, just crashes and closes when I try to open it.

*2017-12-26*

Doesn’t work, just crashes and closes when I try to open it.

### 1/5 — Can’t open

*2017-12-12, version 2.14*

App keeps crashing

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great Upgrade

*2018-01-31*

I really like the new interface. It’s more streamlined and looks more modern. The info we need is right there, easy to find. I’ve used this app for a number of years. The information is great, but it’s not always been stable. It’s also often been hampered by air monitoring stations that go offline. Hopefully the new version will be stable, and hopefully the stations will remain active. Thanks for providing this.

### 5/5 — Great app but please update/fix

*2017-12-11*

5 stars for great app that I use all the time. I’m keeping an old iPad just for this app. It appears to no longer works on the newer iOS devices. That is why I think it starting crashing every time I try to open it on my iPhone 7 but worked fine on earlier iPhone models. PLEASE update this app to work on newer iOS devices or fix whatever bug is shutting it down immediately on the newer devices.

### 5/5 — Crashes after 2 updates

*2017-06-29, version 2.13*

It still crashes after the second update. I really like the app and hope it is fixed soon.

### 5/5 — Absolutely love this app!!!

*2017-01-05, version 2.11*

This app has been soooo helpful for me during both of my pregnancies. Knowing our air quality is so important. Thank you so much for creating this app!

### 5/5 — I like it

*2016-02-16, version 2.11*

I found this app very user friendly and informative. Much better than the web site with more information and more pleasant looking. Everything I need to know.

### 5/5 — Great App

*2016-02-12, version 2.11*

This app is easy to use, gives real time info on the air quality across Utah. I have been able to store my "favorite" locations easily. Does not crash like it used to.

### 5/5 — Thank you!

*2013-12-13, version 1.3*

Thank you for this app. Now that I have kids this is more important than ever.

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2013-11-29, version 1.3*

Thanks for making this app. Simple and just the info I need.

### 5/5 — Great straightforward app

*2013-11-29, version 1.3*

This app is great, displays information in an easy to understand way. Good for seeing how bad the pollution is along the Wasatch front.

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2013-11-28, version 1.3*

Nice clean interface with all the essential information on Utah air quality. Thanks!
