As with any program, if you use it long enough, you gain usage skills. After using complicated spreadsheets for decades, I got more frustration out of this than anything else. If you have no experience, I guess it works. Very disappointed. ### 3/5 — Used to love it, now not so much... *2020-07-04, version 8.0.3* The new auto-save feature is a pain in the butt. I no longer can use templates because the app auto saves every entry. It never crashes and never loses data after many years of use on an iPad. Otherwise the new design is OK. Although I was quite happy with the old one. UPDATE: Changing to add another star since there is now a larger keyboard option. YAY! It could still do without the tiny number keyboard though. **Developer response:** Thanks! We just released an update with an option (in the Settings app) to hide the number keyboard. ### 2/5 — Previous Working View *2018-08-08* Latest update has problem of opening at the top of the spreadsheet. In previous versions after saving, I could return at a later time to the last edited cell by highlighting the cell below my last entry in a column, then hitting the “Home” button on my phone or tablet to get out of the app. Now, after opening, I have to scroll down hundreds of cells every time to continue working where I left off. Very poor attention to convenience by the app developer. **Developer response:** Should be fixed as of v 7.2.1. Let us know if you still have issues. ### 4/5 — Like the old design a lot better!!! But there is little explanation of what to do to nake its functions work. It requires DIY investigating (and a lot of trial & error) to figure out how to correctly operate it, which is not always obvious/intuitive. It's an app that is perhaps more suited to pre-Windows users who can cope without easy graphic interfaces telling them what to do to get the result they want. ### 5/5 — Utility Spreadsheet Pro Ver 8.0.3 *2020-07-09* I’ve been using this spreadsheet utility for several years to keep up with my banking check writing and account balancing. Program is easy to use, formatting for cash, color formatting for keeping transactions uniform is a breeze. Recommendation as 5 stars for users that may be spreadsheet challenged. Only 1 regret, the latest iteration removed the “save as” function which was handy in keeping dual copies as backup copies of extensive files. My eventual workaround is a bit more labor intensive than with “save as” function. I would like this function restored. **Developer response:** Just released v 7.2.1 which should address these issues. Let us know if you have any more problems. ### 5/5 — Great Spreadsheet *2019-11-30, version 7.3.6* I use for my budget planner. Easy & Powerful. Wish it was also available on Android phones. Can backup to Dropbox. ### 5/5 — Great, fast spreadsheet *2018-07-23, version 6.5* 7/22/18 update - still the fastest, slickest little spreadsheet app I know of. I love this app and use it on both the iPad and the iPhone. There's a brief learning curve as you accustom yourself to the interface, but it's quick and efficient to work with, once you're used to it. Three wishes: 1) date math! 2) syncing between devices 3) password protect individual files/worksheets. The developer has responded quickly and considerately the couple times I've reached out to him.
