## What is UTS?

UTS is an Indian Railways official iOS mobile ticketing application which allows the daily train travellers to book unreserved tickets of Indian Railways using their Smartphone. The application is designed in such a way that it is easy to use and has user friendly interface with features like book ticket, cancel ticket, maintain their profile, manage frequent travel routes , etc.The passenger will use Railway wallet to book the ticket.
There are two modes for booking Tickets : (i) Paper (ii) Paperless. In case of paper ticket user has to take a printout from kiosk/counter at concerned station. Whereas in case of Paperless ticket user's Location will be captured to determine he/she is present in valid ticketing area. In this mode no printout is required and the user can directly show his ticket from his smartphone to the TTE. Moreover an alternative to location check has also been introduced in limited stations where a user can scan a unique barcode present at station premises to book his paperless ticket.

Booking tickets on iphone14 is not that easy. Need to be made some improvement. When you have to select Return journey ticket, it is not showing at drop down list. It is showing bottom side of the portal. Which is really difficult to understand at glance when one is in hurry. And also even when you see those options anyway, again after selecting return option, it not getting selected automatically. It further keep on truobling. Because it's Done options is not at all visible.
If this made easier, user friendly then we will give 5 stars.

Dude. Maintain some standards. When I have only one option in the train type which is Journey J and I cant change it, yet still your app says invalid train type or no entry. What an idiotic app. Will send my 5th class brother who can take more edge cases into consideration while building an application. It says invalid date when there is no calendar option to pick the dates from.

This is such a dumb app! I was in a hurry and on top of that, my pass expired yesterday, so I was trying to book a one-day ticket through this app. Normally, this app doesn’t even work, but I thought I’d give it a try today. Everything seemed normal at first — I thought I’d get the ticket. But as soon as I hit the ‘Book Ticket’ button, this pop-up came up:

‘Your device GPS accuracy is 4049 meters. Kindly stand 4049 meters away from the railway station/track.’

Now what am I supposed to do with this? A guy who’s rushing to office would obviously look for a convenient and quick way to get the ticket — and that’s supposed to be this app! But it’s so dumb that going to the station and getting a ticket from the machine there is actually more convenient now. Please fix this!”
