## What is UV Safe Tan?

Know exactly how long you can stay in the sun before you burn.

UV Safe Tan shows the live UV index where you are and turns it into minutes that are safe for your skin. Pick your skin type and the SPF you are wearing, start the timer, and get a reminder when it is time to reapply sunscreen or head for the shade.

LIVE UV INDEX, WHEREVER YOU ARE
- Real-time UV index for your exact location, from Apple Weather data
- Clear gauge from low to extreme, with the protection to use at every level
- Today's UV peak and an hour-by-hour curve so you can plan around it

SUNBURN TIMER SET BY YOUR SKIN TYPE
- Six skin types, from very fair to deep
- Factors in the SPF you are wearing, from none to SPF 50
- Beach mode adds the extra UV reflected by sand and water
- The countdown follows the forecast, so it stretches as the sun gets lower

TAN TIMER THAT STOPS BEFORE YOU BURN
- Switch to Tan and the timer stops well before your burn point
- Build colour over short sessions instead of one long, risky one

SUNSCREEN REAPPLY REMINDERS
- A reminder every 2 hours, with one tap to log that you reapplied
- The timer and reapply countdown live on your Lock Screen as a Live Activity

7-DAY UV FORECAST AND HISTORY
- Hourly UV for the next 24 hours and the peak for each of the next 7 days
- UV history for every place you check
- Light and dark mode

WIDGETS AND ALERTS
- UV index widgets for the Home Screen and Lock Screen
- Daily UV summary and high UV alerts, all optional

Private by design: no account, no ads and no tracking. Your location is only used to fetch the UV forecast, and your sun profile stays on your device.

UV Safe Tan gives general sun safety information, not medical advice. Burn times are estimates, so get out of the sun sooner if your skin feels warm or looks pink.

UV SAFE TAN PRO
Full access requires a UV Safe Tan Pro subscription, weekly or yearly. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel any time in your Apple Account settings.
