Using the uvGO app is super helpful for me and my crew to see status of services and permits on our trips, which is super helpful when you’re on the road. ### 5/5 — Wow! *2024-04-01, version 2024.5.0* This app is awesome! I can create a mission from scratch, set up services, view the status of my mission, review/change passenger data, run a flight plan, get all the location info I need, etc. This app does it all, and meshes perfectly with what I’m working on with my trip support team. Lot of massive updates recently, so a massive improvement on what it was before. It's great for airport details and getting FBO contacts. The estimated in/out times for the airport is really useful. ### 3/5 — Missing a lot of pertinent wx data *2015-11-26* There appears to be a lot of superfluous, non critical data, but the real important flight planning information, such as the ability to view future Hi Sig Wx charts (seems you can only view the Wx charts for the period closest to your planned departure time) and Preliminary Wx charts are missing. This needs to be addressed asap. I find it difficult to navigate as well - this however may be simply because it is new to me. I found that the UV desktop site is the best for operational planning, but the ability to access this using an iPad has been extremely limited....not a wise move in my opinion. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Can’t log in *2022-08-30, version 2022.16.0* This update is worse than the preceding it needs to be logged in all the time , if you logged out trying to refresh your mission dashboard, you won’t be able to log back in for hours ( it will keep double sending you a msg of - your session has expired- ) ### 1/5 — Terrible app that keeps getting worse. *2022-08-29, version 2022.16.0* Universal please stop outsourcing and get new developers. Because most of the time doesn’t work. ### 1/5 — SHOCKER!! APP is not working again *2022-03-09, version 2022.3.1* Thank god I have an iPad and a PC (laptop) with me at all times. This app is so prone to problems. Sometimes it works on my iPad and sometimes it works on the PC but rarely does it work on both. When I say work, I am using that term very loosely. I find myself having to trick the app into filing a flight plan (ridiculous). App support is not good (I’m trying to be nice here). I asked for a senior manager to call me multiply times and they just never get back to me. I guess that’s why we have all these issues, if management doesn’t care then how will things get fixed. I will say the normal customer support team is very nice and tries to be helpful. The problem is with the app. If the software is terrible then no amount of customer niceness will help. The only reason I am still using universal is because I have to because of my job. Most flight departments in the industry know how terrible it is and switch to something else. FRUSTRATING Can’t even send a review, every nickname is “taken”, right? ### 1/5 — So far behind *2020-05-14, version v5.4* Just look at foreflight or Arinc please. ### 1/5 — Went from ¨functional¨ to unusable. *2020-01-08, version v5.0* The previous version of this app was functional and useable. Trips could be found, edited and created with little effort. It rarely hung up or crashed. The current version is completely unusable. It opens, once, and then just produces a black screen. Trips are very difficult to find, opening them for review and editing is not intuitive, and the app is just clunky and burdensome. It needs a LOT of work to begin to be useful again. ### 1/5 — Weak *2019-12-28, version v5.0* It’s very weak and unreliable. It has more bugs than the previous version. Initially, had to hunt and dig just to find a briefing for a flight.. Called Universal to get help and it appears that even they don't know how to use their own app.. Tried it again today- took nearly an hour to set it up and get my access back. Profile showed my tail number but the app itself showed all the details of three other tail number and their flight plan history (confidentiality much?) Having the ability to view information on airports and cities worldwide, well ahead our trips, has helped our flight department become more efficient. We can identify, mitigate, and address any potential issues at any location well in advance of any trip.
