But the data is just wrong. It's showing my current English city, even when set by phone location, as index 5 currently when all weather data sources say 2 going to a high of 3 later today. Sadly that's the one thing that needs to be correct or the entire app's purpose is gone. I used to get confused (or not get it at all) with the UV index in weather apps. What do those numbers actually mean for my skin type. Is a 7 good, bad, too high? Fortunately I discovered this app and after all these years it is still my to go app every time I go out into the sun. The app is very intuitive and well organized but above all very simple and straight to the point. It lets you know when you will be more exposed to UV light during the day and when it is safe to go out considering your skin type. You can add the kind of sunscreen you use (SPF 30,50, water resistant etc) so it can remind you when it's time to reapply it given the UV conditions. If your skin is very sensitive to sunlight, tends to burn easily or you just want to take care of your skin this is the app for you. Did I mention you can create your own little avatar to personalize your experience in the app? UV lens is a must have. It's more than just a weather app it's an app for your health and that of your skin. ### 5/5 — Welcome Back! *2026-03-01, version 3.6.2* Yay! UVLens is back. I love the simple, insightful UI.
