I am of a different generation and hate the subscription model. I purchased Lightroom, until Adobe converted to the subscription model, but obviously that has sent people packing and buying other software. With this software, I like the results and don’t mind paying the $9.99 for the week dive vacation. ### 1/5 — 0 for customer service *2026-04-10* A mail made few months ago (September 2025 and we’re in April 2026) and no response. Best wishes - Team UWACAM ### 2/5 — Potential *2026-03-13, version 2.4.9* This might be a great app but I’ll never know because after it ask for permission it doesn’t require (full photo access and microphone) it throws a giant watermark right in the middle, i immediately uninstalled. I’m not going to waste my time underwater testing an app to produce no usable images, sorry. How about a number of non watermarked images first or some other way to trial. ### 5/5 — Just the ticket *2026-02-22, version 2.4.7* I’ve only just tried this app one one dive with my new divevolk housing, and for the sake of limiting new things all at once, I left it in simple mode. Already, that was a great experience - this app is designed for underwater touch screen operation, and it’s fantastic at that. The experience was so much more comfortable and fun than diving with a GoPro. Back on the surface playing around a little more, I realized there are a few things I’d like to do differently, or maybe control underwater. Sure enough, I turned off simple mode and the app supports all of them and more. The price is pretty steep, but for how well this works and how much it enhances my dive video experience, I’ll happily be subscribing before each dive! I might even have to go back and reprocess previous GoPro video. ### 5/5 — Language *2026-01-18* Please add the Russian language. 🕊️🙏 ### 5/5 — Best in class *2025-12-02, version 2.4.5* I do a lot spur of the moment picture taking and underwater photography and videography. I have been using the trial version and find this app allows you access to both photos and videos from one app. No more need for multiple apps to capture the moment. This app has lots of features for every level of photographer beginner to professional. One feature for scuba divers using their smartphone is the ability to see a compass on the screen. I can tell that this app was designed by both land and sea photographers. So far I haven’t come across any glitches. I recommend this app for everyone to replace your phone’s camera. Update: I have used this app for a couple of years now. This app is how all apps should be developed and maintained. I enjoy the features and especially the app information section. This app is for those who take a lot of land and underwater pictures and videos. If you are looking for something a little better than the iPhone camera then this isn’t for you. As long as the developers continue to put out this app at the level they have I’m fine with the pricing. ### 5/5 — Die mit Abstand beste Foto-App für Divevolk Besitzer *2025-11-28* Die mit UWACAM gemachten Aufnahmen haben extrem gute Qualität und sind vor allem vom Color-Grading deutlich Aufahmen aus anderen Foto -Apps überlegen. Die Benutzerführung Unterwasser ist dank der großen Schaltflächen perfekt für die Touch-Bedienung der Divevolk Gehäuse. Funktionsvielfalt - mehr geht nicht und trotzdem noch relativ einfach bedienbar Häufige Updates. Für mich die perfekte App ### 4/5 — UWACAM is specialize for underwater photo and video. *2025-10-03, version 2.4.2* UWACAM is great for iPhone, but I’m using more advanced camera from VIVO X200 Ultra for photography and keep my iPhone as primary phone. I hope the developer will open up the option to import photo and video capture from other device and import into UWACAM to use UWACOLOR for color correction like Dive+ software. ### 3/5 — Hideous watermark even not using UWACOLOR *2025-09-08, version 2.4.0* What’s good: The interface is nice in either full auto or Pro mode - there seems to be genuine consideration as to the ergonomics of the app through a diving case. What’s not: Watermark & pricing model. I was hoping to find a camera interface more suited to snorkelling - I don’t have this specific case, just wanted a camera app with standard features that’s more usable underwater than the stock Apple app. I’d pay a few bucks for a PERMANENT license for this - I don’t need pro features, I don’t want correction and absolutely have no interest in any visual intelligence features while underwater. If you made a simple “big buttons” app without all the unnecessary features and made it a one-time purchase for $10 I’d buy it now. Instead my options here are to either pay a ludicrous subscription for something I’ll likely use twice a year or have a gargantuan, hideous watermark that is present at all times - yes, even with UWACOLOR turned off. Frustrating. ### 3/5 — Nettement perfectible *2025-08-21* Testé avec la correction de couleur en direct, le rendu n’est pas au rendez-vous. En post production seulement 3 niveaux accessibles sans possibilité d’ajuster les parametres. Tout cela à 10€ la semaine, contre 3 ou 4 € par MOIS pour aquacolorfix qui propose plein de reglages, y’a pas photo… si je puis dire ! Je retourne direct sur aquacolorfix, meme si cela necessite de le faire uniquement en post production. De plus il manque un outil ( ou alors je ne l’ai pas vu) quand on fille avec l’appli appareil photo de l’iphone on peut prendre des photos pendant qu’on filme, avec uwacam je n’ai pas vu cette possibilité. Et enfin, en mode pro, il y a plein de menus et sous-menus mais j’avoue que je m’y suis un peu perdu… **Developer response:** Merci pour vos précieux commentaires concernant le souhait d'un plus grand contrôle sur le traitement UWACOLOR.
