You should be able to use this V-Planner on a Mac as well as on mobile devices without purchasing a separate software!

Très bonne appli, même si je ne suis pas formé au Trimix, son utilisation pour les calculs de mélange au Nitrox est largement suffisante notamment pour gonfler un bloc par pression partielle. Le prix est ce qu’il est, mais il fait gagner pas mal de temps.
On verra bien quand je serai formé au Trimix!

Et la dernière mise à jour pour l’utiliser en Français, je l’attendais depuis un certain moment!!! :-)

Cependant, même en Nitrox, je ne peux pas exploiter la planif des plongées, notamment en multigaz, puisque je ne plonge pas avec le modèle VPM...
Peut-être faudrait-il proposer d’autres modes de décompression; pour le Trimix, je ne connais pas, mais pour l’utilisation du Nitrox, je sais que plusieurs tables sont disponibles, certes selon la législation des pays, mais après la MàJ linguistique, ce serai dans une bonne lignée!

I am writing this in English because the author is Canadian and cannot act on comments he does not understand ….
The interface is good and the results in line with VPM which is the reason why you buy the app. The missing pieces:
-as everybody else said the missing graphs
-the possibility of editing mixes and segments (you have to delete them and start over)
-the landscape (maybe but not essential)
Overall a strong app for the technical diver.

Great features to have on your phone! I use the tools all the time for calculating MOD, finding best mix, and telling the kid running the tanks at my dive shop how to blend my trimix without mucking it up! 

Please listen to your reviewers comments! This is not a cheap app, and consequently, we expect a little more responsiveness to our requests... Too long between versions....

1) Please add support for multiple set points to accommodate for the newer CCRs as well as the depth that you switch between them.

2) Please change most if not all the sliders to exact value wheels! It is impossible to select an exact value when u are on dry land, let alone on a boat!!!

Thanks for listening! My rating goes to five stars once I can use this app without pulling my hair out!

Been waiting a REALLY long time for a version of VPlanner specifically for the iPad.  I'm not sure this is the version I had hoped for.  Sliders in the configuration screen are still way too short and would I would much prefer the ability to directly enter various parameter values.  It's too difficult to use the short sliders to setup the software, especially RMV/SAC for bottom and deco.  Slider for OTU changes values in a non-sensical fashion.  Only displays in portrait mode and there's still no way to output to printer.   Would be awesome to put the larger screen of the iPad to work and replicate features and layout of the desktop version, e.g. display profile, ability to reverse deco listing, etc.  Sets the standard for deco planning in my opinion...I'd just like to see more out of the iOS versions.

used this for various 100m dives , has every feature one really needs. it might take some time to get used to the interface, but hey, we are talking about technical diving ... the tools fir gasmixing and gasplanning are very useful and work perfectly. Dive plan can be copied and sent via email as it is.

As one previous reviewer already stated, the software is de facto standard but desperately needs one critical improvement: The slider for selecting numeric values is WAY too sensitive. Given that most of these numeric values are vitally important to the dive plan and any wrong entry could have potentially fatal consequences, this flaw is simply unacceptable. How about a different entry method, there are plenty of other applications doing it right (entry form, wheel, slider with varying sensitivity like in iTunes).
One more thing, it would be great to be able to transfer profiles and dive plans between desktop version and mobile version. Perhaps even via cloud syncing?

Don't ever rely on this! This computed longer deco times for shallower dives. E.g. a 40m dive + 30 min at 19m computed 1min deco. The same dive with 30 min at 18m computes 6 min deco stop. Trying to return it...

Paid £32.00 on 03 feb 14.
it won't calculate the dive plan. Every time I press calculate, the app shuts down, and only the deco dives are saved. 
Money back please....!

If you're looking for an iPad version of your desktop vplanner this is not it.  If your idea was to get a vplanner to bring with you on a boat to reconfigure dives onsite, save your money.  This only plans one dive and has a small fraction of the desktop's capabilities.  Considering the price, I expected a lot more.  It deserves one star for the letdown factor;  I gave it two because I'm a fan of the desktop version.

I always enjoyed running V-planner' earlier versions. Just loaded update on Feb 1. Now the program is non functional !! I'm running IOS6

... but it has some points, I don't like. 

I use the PC version of V-Planner for 6 years now and am still happy with it. 

This app is some kind of light version of the original PC program. 
For example: I miss a gasbreak feature or the possibility to set different ascent rates. Because of the lack of these features, I cannot just copy the diveplan, but must change it by hand. In the Tools Section (EAD calculator, Mixer, etc.) I would also prefer to type in the numbers instead of that slider. Very tricky to use. 

Please rework.

Wie die meisten User, benutze ich auch die PC Version. Die APP ist hervorragend auf dem iPAD und gut auf dem iPhone. Das User-Interface ist sehr gut an den vorhnadenen Platz am Display angepasst.
Das gesamte UI ist intuitiv nutzbar. 
Fazit: Uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert. Teuer, aber den Preis auch wert.

Vplanner has all the features needed to plan my dives.  I'm leaning towards GFs more these days, but Vplanner is so useful that I always use it was a sanity check when planning.

Great bit of software, I use it on the PC and on the ipad. Level of detail is superb on the PC version but is more limited on the IOS version.  This is especially noticeable in the configuration of the tools for dive planning.  An example of this is setting different ascent speeds in the software once you reach your off gassing depth. On the iOS version there is only one speed available. 

All in all the iOS version still provides a greater level of detail than other similar software when a computer is not available. It's easy to use (but RTFM first).
