V-remote is a fully comprehensive remote control for Avid VENUE™ digital audio mixing consoles. The D-Show, FOH Rack and Mix Rack (Profile), SC48, S3L and S3L-X systems are supported. Version 2.0 is a major update introducing the VCS - Virtual Control Surface - an abstraction of the entire console laid out in channel strips like a traditional analog mixing console. The interface is simple to use and easily adapted on the fly to suit many different workflow requirements, providing both the visual and functional benefits of seeing more than just the selected channel. All features of Version 1 are still available, with improvements. The complete console functionality is accessible via a simple, efficient and precise ‘intelligent’ user interface using the console’s own graphics. With a working knowledge of the console there will be almost no learning curve. The User Guide has been extensively updated and contains a lot of new information. Reading the documentation for the VCS is strongly recommended! A Connection Troubleshooting Guide has also been added which may prove useful to some. No updates since 2019? And no offline mode if I want to prep for a gig? ### 5/5 — Excellent App! *2019-04-27, version 2.0.2* This app does exactly what I need it to do, control my Venue SC48 board from my iPad. It’s kind of crazy that Digidesign hasn’t made their own app already, but thanks to this developer, I have what I need. The app allows you to control the board via VPN and see exactly what you would see if you were looking at the monitor directly connected to the board. It also features a VCS (which I’m assuming means Virtual Control Surface) mode, that makes controlling faders and knobs much easier on the iPad. The developer was even willing to make some changes I requested and now it connects to my board in less than 10 seconds. I can now walk around the room with my iPad and mix. Our SC48 board is about 10 years old, but still works great, and now, with the ability to have a remote control surface, there’s no need to upgrade the board, and I hope to have it for another 10 years. Finally! It behaves just like a native console app. Can't recommend it highly enough. ### 1/5 — No demo mode? *2017-05-05, version 1.0* This is the only digital console remote software that doesn't have a demo mode. If you want someone to spend the money you are asking for this app you should at least allow them to work though the software without having to be connected to the console.
