## What is V?

One of the few volleyball apps that covers 9-player, soft volleyball and coed formats - and shows the flow of the match at a glance.

Score, rotation and players, all on one screen.
Whether you are following your own team's match from the bench or the stands, or you have been asked to act as assistant referee, you can always see who is where. No officiating experience needed - you can use it from day one.

■ Supported formats

6-player (official rules) / 6-player coed / 9-player / soft volleyball (4-player) / beach (2-player)

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.5.1 — 2026-10-09

■ New icon

A fresh app icon and launch screen in the new V-Supo design.

■ New skin: Sunset

Added a warm-toned skin in cream, coral and orange. Switch to it from Appearance in settings.

■ Team name suggestions

As you type a team name on the registration screen, your saved teams appear below the field. Pick one and, after the usual confirmation, its lineup is filled in. If you type a saved team's full name, the app asks whether to load it.

■ Players are now remembered as people

Changing a jersey number in the roster keeps that player's lineup spot and name tag. When a new player takes over a number someone used before, the previous player's lineup spot and name no longer come along.

Coed genders are remembered per player too. A team entered by hand is saved together with the genders you chose.

■ Loaded teams: move players by dragging

When you load a saved team on the registration screen, its lineup is locked. Long-press a circle and drag it, or tap a circle and then tap where it should go, to swap players between the court and the bench. To set a libero, tap a bench player and then an empty libero circle. It works the same way as lineup settings and the between-set lineup screen. To field someone who is not on the roster, turn off the lock under the team name and edit numbers as before. Teams entered by hand work as before.

■ Coed lineups

Teams can now choose "6-player · Mixed" and "4-player · Mixed" as separate formats, so the coed lineup is saved apart from the regular one. In lineup settings, the coed tab shows each player's gender on the circles and warns you when two players of the same gender are next to each other. For regular formats, the button at the top right shows genders.

■ Display names

You can now give each player a display name (a nickname). Name tags on court, on the bench, for liberos and in lineups use it. The roster list still shows the real name.

Team cards (QR) do not share display names by default. To share them, turn on "Include display names" on the card screen.

■ Team cards

- Cards now carry lineups for every format the team plays.
- Scanning a card for a team you already have offers "Update this team". Favorites and your own display names are kept.
- When a roster does not fit on one card, retired players, other formats' lineups, tags and positions are left out in that order, and the screen tells you what was left out.
- A team imported from a link can be put straight into the registration screen with "Use in match".

■ My Team

First-time users are guided through setting up My Team (team name and formats, then the roster). To set it up later, use the notice on the registration screen or My Team in settings. You can also unset My Team without deleting the team.

■ Sanctions

Now opened from the top bar of the match screen (previously inside settings).

■ Fixes

- Fixed sanctions recorded during a match sometimes not being kept in the match.
- Fixed Undo after deleting a player sometimes reverting changes made on other screens.

### 1.5.0 — 2026-10-05

■ V-Ref is now V-Supo

Same app, new name. Your teams and match records carry over.

■ Portrait mode

You can now use the app holding your phone upright. Your own team sits at the bottom of the screen, so it is easy to follow your team's match from the bench or the stands. Turn your phone sideways for the familiar landscape layout.

■ Team management

- Register "My Team".
- Keep a roster with names, grades, positions and the captain. Retired players can stay on the roster.
- Save a starting lineup for each format and load the team from the registration screen, ready to play. You can check the lineup before loading it.
- Share your roster with the other team using the team card's QR code. They just scan it with the camera. Scanning the same team's card again updates its roster.
- In mixed play, genders are filled in from the roster when you load a team.
- If an old team is removed automatically because you reached the limit, the team list tells you and lets you bring it back. Favorites and My Team are never removed automatically.

■ Player names

Show each player's name with their jersey number on court, as well as on the bench, libero and lineup screens. You can switch it during a match.

■ Easier to use

- The registration screen points out a lineup that breaks the rules as you enter it.
- Duplicate jersey numbers now blink so you can spot them.
- If you abandon a match and go back to registration, the players you started with are kept.
- The between-sets lineup now starts from how the current set began.
- Swipe to switch between the team tabs.

■ Fixes

- Fixed the app staying upside down when an iPad is held upside down.
- Fixed soft volleyball's cap score overriding the points-to-win setting.
- Fixed the timeout count carrying over when you switch formats.
- Fixed a warning that could appear on a correct change of serve.
- Fixed jersey numbers typed right after launch sometimes disappearing.
- Fixed a full-screen ad appearing just from closing Control Center.
- Other minor fixes.

Thank you for using V-Supo. Send feedback from Support in the settings screen.

### 1.4.3 — 2026-08-30

■ 9-player

- Service order is shown on court as numbered badges (1-9). The order you enter jersey numbers becomes the service order.
- Positions now use the official labels: FL (forward left), HC (half centre) and so on.
- Sets 2 and 3 start with the next player in the service order of the team that lost the previous set.
- The line-up on court now matches the registration screen.
- The between-sets line-up screen now shows each player's service order and who serves first in the next set.

■ Beach

- A court switch reminder every 7 combined points (every 5 in the deciding set).

■ Following each format's rules

Substitution and timeout counts have been reviewed against the rules for each format. You can also adjust them in settings to match how your competition or region runs.

■ A guide to the marks

Settings › Info now has "What the marks mean" — service order, substitution pairs, libero and the server ring, shown with the real badges.

■ Easier to use

- The ring around the serving player is much clearer.
- When you pick a substitute, only the positions you can swap with stay bright.

■ Fixes

- Fixed being able to start the next set with the coed alternation broken. Once started, no substitution was possible for the rest of that set.
- Full-screen ads on returning to the app appear far less often, and never after a brief switch away.

Thank you for using V-Ref. Send feedback from Support in the settings screen.

### 1.4.2 — 2026-08-21

・In mixed matches, the male/female markers could be swapped when both teams used the same jersey numbers.
・In mixed matches, substitutions could be rejected even when the lineup alternated correctly.

Thank you for using V-Ref. Send feedback any time from Support in the settings screen.

### 1.4.1 — 2026-08-21

・More favorite slots. Add up to 5 slots by watching rewarded videos, plus 5 more with a one-time purchase — up to 20 in total.
・Sanction records (warning, penalty, expulsion, disqualification). The set and score at the time are kept and printed on the PDF scoresheet.
・Point-by-point history on the PDF scoresheet, laid out set by set so you can follow how the match unfolded.

・In-app language switching. Choose from 12 languages under Settings > Appearance (defaults to your device language).
・Remove Ads. A single one-time purchase removes every ad in the app.

・Reworked the palettes so text stays readable in every skin.
・Skin selection now shows a mini preview of the actual colors.
・Unified the header height across all screens.
・Added "Write a Review" in the settings screen to open the store page.
・Refreshed the app icon and splash screen.

■ Fixes
・The ad permission dialog could appear in a language other than your device language.
・"Restore Purchases" could be hidden, or do nothing when tapped.
・Set counts in the header did not swap sides after a court change.
・The graph toggle on the result screen was misaligned.
・Button labels were clipped in some languages, such as German.
・The bottom input row on the registration screen was hidden behind the button.
・Dragging a substitute onto the court sometimes failed to swap players.
・In beach volleyball, an empty panel could open when there were no substitutes.
