When I screwed the camera into the socket it turned around and there is a beeping sound. But J never got to check it out. Bluetooth screen asked for my WiFi SSID and PSK? Why? Device never showed up on my iPhone Bluetooth list. Direct connect screen was blank. Instructions extremely tiny, can hardly read it. First attempt camera got extremely hot and now won’t turn on, couldn’t even connect to my phone Sent an email to the company and got a link to a video which is very hard to understand. I can’t download camera number 2 or get the camera to work after many hours of trying to figure it all out. No instructions at all - just a QR code to this useless app. No idea what the “mode” button does, and had to experiment with the power button to work out how long to press for startup and shutdown. MicroSD cards have to be formatted in a PC because the camera can’t do it and the app can’t either. Camera battery only lasts 30 minutes max before turning off wifi to save power and disconnecting as a result. On permanent power it can run for up to an hour before turning off its wifi and stopping any recording (to MicroSD) in progress which corrupts the file and makes it unreadable. Two of the cameras work if you connect to the camera’s wifi, so only one can be viewed at a time. The other 3 had slightly different cases and came with a password set on the wifi and finger prints on the lens and around the (unlabelled) buttons, indicating they were second hand. The battery life is useless. The Wi-Fi connectivity is pathetic in range - less than 3 meters. The SD card slot was misaligned and even once a card was correctly inserted the app would not recognize it. However, the alarms do not work as far as alerting me that there is motion. It doesn’t record when the app is closed so I can’t leave them recording while I’m away and my phone is off. Big disappointment. It’s only really good if you plan on watching the live feed. I imagine these are good for trying to catch where vermin are coming from if you sit there and watch the live feed on the app as it’s happening. Has been after many tries finally my husband got it connected outside and it knows when somebody’s there and plays a little Tune. He has an iPhone 11 and hasn’t been able to figure it out either. All the YouTube set up instructions have been very difficult to follow -impossible actually - and have gotten nowhere. The instructions We don’t understand; they are not understandable either because we don’t understand the Terminology and it doesn’t look the same on my phone or his. And like what it says on the box it is not easy to set up whatsoever. As far as I’m concerned it’s a piece of junk. I needed a little video camera I could keep in the console of my pickup that I could stick to the toolbox in the bed of my truck and view the gooseneck ball as I backed under the tongue of a trailer. Such a setup will save me a ton of getting out, seeing how much correction I need, then back in, pulling forward, backing up and correcting left or right to get hitched up.
