### 2/5 — Not worth the money

*2026-07-20, version 6.50.60*

I’m paying a lot of money for this app and it doesn’t have the measurements it promises! It says the measurements are coming soon but they are taking my money now!

### 2/5 — Dark mode

*2026-07-02, version 6.50.60*

For an app running a device majorly designed around sleep issues how on earth is there no dark mode option? Come on people.

### 2/5 — Cheap

*2026-03-16, version 6.30.0*

Product is lost a TENS unit and the app is beyond basic and buggy. Wish I would have saved my money

### 2/5 — Who designed this?

*2026-03-11, version 6.20.0*

The device inserts keep falling apart and there is not a secure fit.

### 2/5 — Where did the HEV data go?

*2026-02-11*

This app is a hot mess. And now MY HRV data is no where to be found. If you disappeared it, why?And if you hid it somewhere, why??? The HRV measures were the reason I purchased this over a TENS unit in the first place.

### 2/5 — Idiocy

*2025-10-13, version 5.9.2*

The device popped out of my ears no less than 12 times while attempting my first usage, so much opinion of the app might be colored by my frustration with the design of the device... But was this made by actual idiots? Why have a device glow blue that's meant to help with sleep? Blue light disrupts melatonin production. We know this. That has been proven with far more statistical certainty than anything else related to vagustim.

Why state multiple times that metal knobs should be in contact with the concha and tragus areas without a simple diagram of ear parts pointing out which areas these are? Why include a video of application where the model leaves a huge dollop of the gel in the wrong place?

I have a pulsetto, the first use of which put me to sleep like a baby. I heard good things about vagustim and thought perhaps I could get more benefits, but wow…the opposite is the case. I only wish I had never purchased this joke of a product.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Frustrated

*2026-08-25, version 6.51.95*

This product is supposed to help with stress, anxiety, and digestive issues. It is nothing more than frustration for me. The ear pieces constantly fall out. And you have to turn it off to put them back in. You the heck shocked out of you if you try to reposition them while they are on. Nobody tells me about that. Learned that the hard way. No help!!!

### 1/5 — Money down the drain

*2026-07-04, version 6.50.60*

This device is not user friendly and it’s poorly made. It took me a long time just to figure out the button configurations.

It also has problems simply connecting Bluetooth with my iPhone 15. I paid for the App subscription and I can’t even use it. It won’t connect. The user manual through the App is from an older model. Lots of money lost on this.

### 1/5 — App is broken

*2026-04-27, version 6.35.15*

Can’t even use the device because the app says connection is lost. Useless and waste of money.

### 1/5 — Product works. App sucks

*2026-03-25, version 6.30.0*

App sucks. Embarrassing for how much you pay.

### 1/5 — Don't bother

*2025-10-24, version 5.9.2*

The app is expensive. This experience is complicated and I am returning the unit.

### 1/5 — Disappointed

*2025-01-24, version 2.14*

Had the list price read $340.00 plus $9.99/month I would not have purchased the Vagustim.
Does it even work? How can I know. I’ve got one minimum setting with a 15 minute time limit.
I was not sure the device was worth the up front cost to begin with, but, I’m 100% sure it’s not with an extra $120.00/year tacked on.
I’m skeptical as to whether or not an APP is actually required. My TENS 7000 is controlled on the unit itself. Is the APP just a money grab?
Also, for $340.00 (+++++) the ear pieces seem a little cheap. The small size is too big. I think they could have been made to be adjustable and there by more comfortable.
I would like to return it.

### 1/5 — Great Idea, Horrible App

*2024-12-15, version 2.7*

This app is very difficult to use. It is also very disappointing that they want to charge an additional $10/month for the ability to adjust anything. I would expect more from a $300+ device.

### 1/5 — Sneaky corporate grab

*2024-10-11, version 1.24*

I already paid for an overpriced machined and you’re asking for a subscription on top? I think the f not. Do not buy this machine. Do not get this app. It asks for a pricey subscription to change your settings. Underhanded and greedy.

Other off topic things that are just bad about this app: even if I had a subscription, I can’t extend my session time past 30 minutes. Also, their steps between severity when you’re getting stimulated are very clunky. I either barely feel it or it hurts.

Their previous app was much better, but they shut that down for a corporate grab. We’re going to look into whether or not we can return our machine because a 15 minute session just ain’t worth it. Sorry not sorry y’all losing money now.

### 1/5 — It's logical to force payment

*2024-10-03, version 1.24*

I'm a medical dr in Mexico using this machine in a clinical setting and it's logical and counter productive to force my staff to reactivate the machine every 15 minutes...I'm really sorry but I'm going to have to look for other options

### 1/5 — Forced Subscription Expensive Device

*2024-08-23, version 1.20*

It’s obscene that the new app forces people to pay an expensive monthly subscription to be able to run the stim for more than 15 minutes. The instructions that came with my device said I should be using it for 60 minutes a day. Not only that, but after the 15 minutes, the app forces you to reset your settings for the level of intensity, further creating an inconvenience having to do it four times. The app does exactly what the old one did but charges. The only addition is that it looks prettier and tracks which days you have used it.
I would be more OK with the subscription if the device did not cost me over $400 already. This is not a device that is currently covered by any insurance or medical subsidies in the US. Also, I’ve wasted a lot of money buying batteries for this device because it does not have the simple technology to automatically shut off. I would pay a subscription for whatever incoming AI tech but not to run the device at the recommended time duration.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Amazing product - it works!

*2026-03-16, version 6.30.0*

I have used the Vagustim for just over a week and have already noticed an improvement in my sleep quality! I love how I can use this device when I'm sitting in the couch or working on my computer. I'm so glad I invested in this, I know it will be so helpful for my health.

And for everyone complaining about the subscription fee... it's no different than a gym membership or Netflix. If you actually use it, it's work it. I don't mind paying for something I use every day to support my health.

### 5/5 — Great product

*2026-01-30*

Great product, easy to use
I felt more relaxed after the first few sessions. The app is simple and the earset is comfortable.

### 5/5 — The one device to replace many ! Great Value!

*2025-05-05, version 3.6.0*

This app comes in a free version which is enough for someone who likes to keep things simple .But the premium version is well worth every penny! It goes way beyond the mechanics of the Vagustim. It is an overall wellness app that tracks your progress on your specific health goals .It tracks HRV, HR and overall wellness. Instead of buying several devices you get it all in one place which gives you comprehensive health results. The team at Vagustim is on point ! Love it !

### 5/5 — Great product and quick dispatch

*2024-11-23, version 1.28*

Really really quick shipping I can’t wait to start using it and see the positive effect soon

### 5/5 — I have more energy body

*2024-10-24, version 1.24*

I have more energy and don't feel as exhausted every day. It has helped with my CFS

### 5/5 — Great Device

*2024-10-17, version 1.24*

This is a great device. Love how easy it is to work.

### 4/5 — Bug

*2026-01-31, version 6.15.0*

Love the app but hrv and hr not working on android

### 3/5 — I am / was hopeful

*2026-03-27, version 6.30.0*

My only beef with the unit is the poorly designed earpieces. Within the first 30 days of use, a wire came loose of one of the earpieces making it useless. On top of that, they fit poorly and are extremely temperamental even after following the tips on best use. They fall out of my ear so easily, I have to wear a headband or hat just to keep them in place. Another issue is it’s very difficult to get just the right amount of moisture so they work (assuming you can get them to stay in place). Lastly I cannot say I’ve noticed much wrt improvement.

With all this, I am HOPEFUL they will address the earpiece issue.

### 3/5 — Room for improvement

*2025-02-10, version 2.19*

Not reliable or consistent. Unable to run program longer then 15 mins and trouble connecting. :/

### 3/5 — Unsure

*2025-02-04, version 2.19*

I just started using this device in hopes to help with my dysautonomia. I plan to give it a few weeks to track any differences in my symptoms so I may end up returning it depending. The “small” ear pieces are too big for my ears and they’re a bit uncomfortable. I also really wish the device was rechargeable like others on the market. The app also does not explain how adjusting settings may affect your results, I expected more insight on how to get the best outcome but the only option I see is signing up for a $50 consult.
