Pour une amélioration, il faudrait ne pas être obligé d’aller sur le site web pour recharger son forfait mais le faire sur l’application directement. It claims to record your skiing stats - but it never works. The weather forecast section is very limited. I have used various ski resort apps Whistler has the best one - this Val d’isere one is the worst. ### 1/5 — Stats don’t work! *2022-02-27, version 3.2* Took a while for the Slopes to work. But been 2 days skiing and still waiting for my stats to load. The interactive map is ok. What really lets it down is the tracking function which constantly dries out or just turns off. ### 2/5 — Very good map until it crashes *2023-12-17, version 22.3.10* This has some amazing features, like live gps tracked buses and the interactive piste map. Unfortunately the app crashes regularly throughout the day while recording (/tracking). Sometimes this is a soft crash where it just loses gps connection for half a run and then recovers, even if it usually has no issues with gps on that piste. Other times this is a full app crash and nothing further is recorded until you force restart the app. Thankfully all skiing recorded before the app crashes is saved, but still it’s not really a good feature when it is so unreliable. The unpredictability is unfortunate. The direction of the pistes would also be very helpful for someone new to Val - it’s sometimes unclear whether a piste goes from lift A to lift B or vice versa. A small arrow would be enough. Merci ### 2/5 — Battery Killer *2023-03-24, version 4.5* The functionality of the app is great - real time data on queues, what’s open or closed, where you are if you get lost, and what you’ve been doing all day. Plus emergency data, weather, piste map. But my battery would not last the day - it’s a 4 month old iPhone- so you need to take a charger or risk your phone going dead. Meant I could not use the app and went back to Ski Tracks (5% battery used v 52% for this app) and paper map. Great shame as the app is otherwise good ### 3/5 — Tracking activity *2026-01-25, version 142.4.8* I would have hoped to be able to link my ski pass to the app to track my pistes. But instead the app requires cellular gps with high mobile phone battery drain this is a poor design. Now I am back home I tried to link my pass to the app. But another epic fail, my pass has expired so not able to add. I would have hoped the rfid could be used to recover my ski history? is /was this possible or an over expectation ? Why recharge if no data is preserved ? Use this app while there and delete it when home I guess. ### 3/5 — Handy but tracking stops randomly *2024-12-14, version 23.8.0* It’s useful for the lift and piste information but the tracking is too unreliable. You start it, check it’s running, carefully lock the phone only to find at the end of the day that it stopped monitoring after 2 minutes. When it works it’s good but unfortunately it’s not reliable enough to use for tracking (3 fails out of 6 days). ### 3/5 — Le suivi s'éteint tout seul *2024-03-06* l'App semblait vraiment bien avec le plan interactif et le suivi du parcours à visualiser le soir. Malheureusement, le suivi s'arrête tout seul au bout d'une heure et demie. J'ai relancé plusieurs fois, mais je n'ai jamais réussi à suivre une journée complète. Pourtant, j'ai bien autorisé la géolocalisation tout le temps, mais je n'ai aucune statistique fiable.
