It needs a tune up ### 3/5 — Let down by the bikes *2024-08-31, version 2.0.0* Great service but these are the worst city bikes I have used. The frame must be 50kg in weight, solid steel. You get 3 gears, you’ll only use 1 and 2 unless you’re doing some downhill racing. But both gears 1 and 2 are rubbish. Also you get fined if you exceed 30 minutes ride. You can’t ride far in 30 minutes because riding these is so unpleasant. Even city bikes in Mexico have electric assistance. Signed up for one week pass for €14. Had to submit a CC# in the app to pay. The app was easy. I actually enjoyed using the bikes all week. HOWEVER…. I had one ride that went over 30min allowed time and ended up with an extra charge of €4,16 which is not a big issue. I am TRYING to pay them. I have contacted their customer service numerous times asking them to please charge my card the final €4,16 owed so I can remove my card from their database and delete my account. More than a week has passed and they will not help and now my CC info is in their app and I have no control of the account. Absolutely absurd how how incompetent their people are to not be able to resolve such a simple and mundane task. So… beware that your CC can be at risk by using this app & service due to their incompetence at settling final invoices and allowing you to close the account. ### 1/5 — App doesn’t work *2024-04-21, version 1.36.0* A waste of time, payment methods not working, very poorly designed app. ### 1/5 — Scam DO NOT USE *2024-04-03, version 1.36.0* This company is a scam. Both my husband and I used the bikes for less than an hour. Parked them correctly on a station near the science museum and they emailed me the next day saying I didn’t. However once I called and explained the call centre lady was able to find the bike PARKED AND LOCKED. Valenbisi is still charging me £100 euros for a bike I paid for and returned in less than an hour. If you look up reviews you can find others who were scammed but the company and charged people wrongfully. If you need a bike in Valencia I suggest you hire literally any other service. Valenbisi is a scam! Also, their bikes are horrible to ride and the app is not user friendly. ### 1/5 — Doesn't seem to work without NIF for one day rental *2024-01-06* As far as I can see, the app and website will let you rent for a week without a NIF (Spanish federal id number) but not for a day. Listed nowhere in FAQs or on order flow pages but inferred from order flow pages. Very poor app design for on-boarding customers. Easily sort the subscription directly from the app (no need for ID number - just press done and continue - it lets you). Beautiful central parks and lots of dedicated cycle lanes and traffic lights so it feels safe. My criticism - would be good to have a cheaper 1 or 3 day pass for shorter trips. Also, it’s very easy to see how many bikes are available at your stations, but once you’re on the go it doesn’t switch to showing you how many docks are available (is this because you can get more than one bike out on the same account? First of all most of the bikes are broken and they never replenish bikes in areas where people use them more often than others. There’s no way to talk to anybody or make a complaint about any issues. I often have to, take the app off my phone and reinstall it because it doesn’t work. It’s made me late for many many days of school or appointments. This is fairly straightforward, and once you are set up it’s plain sailing. Find bikes nearby, unlock with the app and away you go. I had 16 bikes in 4 days, just one or two had issues and it was easy to swap with another from the same stand. The app now is really great. I didn’t understand the parked bikes toggle that you can use and the reservation system is great. Still strange to me that I can’t change my email but the support team come Monday (didn’t respond over the weekend) was actually quite helpful despite what their other online reviews said. Sign in continues to give me an “error occurred” message and the map doesn’t tell me how many bikes are at a stand without clicking on each one which is a bit of a frustrating user experience. I am flabbergasted how this made it past beta testing as my wife and I both can’t use this… Update: turns out it is because I have two accounts with one email so it’s roulette as to which email it’s picking at the time of sign in.
