I appreciate that you think it's good and I've worked hard over the past 5 years to bring it to market. We live in a world of subscriptions where software is rented and not owned. Valence breaks from this paradigm by being a one time purchase. I hope that Valence has provided you enough value as it is to justify its purchase. If Valence was subscription based, there would have been continued development and far more support for the app and myself. I wanted to deliver so much more, but financial constraints have made me switch my focus. The app is still 100 percent functional and provides so much value. The 3D tools market is quickly evolving (AI) and Blender will be coming to iPad sometime in the next year or two. It is missing a lot of key features to make it useful beyond the perimeters that it sets you in. It is unfortunate because I think it could get there, but it is a ways off. Please use the + button and select the file option and select an obj, stl, usdz, etc ### 4/5 — Terrific app with a couple of sticking points *2025-06-29* This is almost the app I’ve been dreaming of for polymodeling on iPad. But the interface is a little hard to figure sometimes. I wish more people would borrow what the Affinity apps use, where there’s a question mark icon, and when you tap it, every icon shows its tooltip. It’s a great way to learn the interface. Or just let the icons show a tooltip when you hover over them with the pencil. Otherwise it’s a really nifty app. I hope people give it a try, so they can keep developing. ### 4/5 — Awesome but… *2025-06-15* This app is awesome. It keeps getting better and better. I wish there were a way to disable moving the scene around with the pencil, like in nomad sculpt. Sometimes I’m trying to grab something at the edge of an object and the scene shifts is I press outside the object slightly. That’s a bit frustrating. Man kann ja auch für Updates Geld verlangen und da bin ich dabei und gerne bereit Geld auszugeben. Die App ist komplex und eine Herausforderung, ja. What is truly beautiful is how common operations are surfaced with few taps, the planning that went into the experience of this app is inspiring. A few things though: - The knife tool doesn't seem to work - Symmetry on multiple axes would be great - Cannot select obstructed vertices, edges or faces when showing wireframe - Undo history would be great especially considering the small undo steps - Cannot scroll popup windows to show all the content unless I show the window full screen (iPhone 13 mini) **Developer response:** The knife tool has improved. I think it takes a little getting used to since it uses a new UX paradigm designed for touch input. I'm amazed it works on a 13 mini :) I designed the app to be responsive to most screens and the mini's were the hardest to get right, so some compromises were made. The developer hasn’t update since 8 months ago. So he pretty much just ghosted this app like I knew the developer would do. So I wouldn’t buy this app. Eventually it will be scam on the market without any fixes. ### 1/5 — Don’t Waste Your Money *2026-02-23* I’ve paid for this app. very early on, when it first came out, or nearly so. It wasn’t a great app., but I figured it would greatly improve. Sadly, this is not the case. As the app. stands today, it should be free. The interface is clunky and there is a major flaw that I have seen from early on. For some reason, when a file is saved, then reopened later, it sometimes reverts back to a primitive. I think a square. Even the built in designs do this. I have tried reinstalling the app., but the same thing happens. Valence 3D is the only app. I have file “corruption” issues with. Very disappointing. I originally paid for this, since it seemed to have more primitives, than Nomad Sculpt had. I planned on using it for the purpose of starting with a primitive in Valence, then working on it to a certain point, before moving it to Nomad for detailed work. Since Valence doesn’t work, I now use Autodesk Tinkercad for this purpose. I used this app. way before Valence was created, but Valence seemed to have a future, where the editing workflow would have been better. Since this major flaw with Valence, I have ditched it for Tinkercad long ago, but would try Valence every now and then to see if it satisfactorily improved and hoped it would become an awesome app. that I would use frequently. I’m giving up today and uninstalling. **Developer response:** I’m sorry you are not satisfied and Valence didn’t meet your needs. For a lot of 3D modelling of vertices, edges and faces it's pretty much as good as using Blender but in an app you can take anywhere. And with the boolean operators, import options, and expanded vertex, edge and face tools, you can make some pretty sophisticated models. Of course, there's always some little improvements I'd like to see. Like sliding a vertex along a connected edge rather than just moving x, y or z coordinates. And some things seem not so intuitive to me. Like when I tap the object inspector button it stays for me to tap to close the panel. But if I tap the command button it disappears and I had to work out I have to slide the panel away with my finger. But overall I'd definitely say this is now a 5* app! **Developer response:** Thank you for the feedback. If you haven’t already, please check out the latest version of Valence. There have been major bug fixes to improve stability and boolean operations were added back in Q1 2025. ### 5/5 — by far the best 3D Modeling software on iOS. *2026-08-24* the perfect software for your 3D workflow. truly unrivaled in its respective category. loads seamlessly and never experienced any crashing—even on my iPad (9th gen), which is entry-level at best. far exceeded my expectations even upon its initial release. no need to look any further; unless, of course, your next download is a Sculptor or Animator! 😉 ### 5/5 — Unique *2026-08-19* I absolutely love this app, and most importantly, there is nothing comparable for mobile devices. Being able to create and work on projects like this using only my iPhone, without carrying around bulky hardware, is simply incredible—thank you for that! 🙏🏻 The app is exceptionally well designed. Its workflow reminds me somewhat of Blender, and it allows users to create surprisingly complex models and designs. I mainly use it for product and automotive design. That said, I would love to see the app continue to grow with more advanced tools and features. Since it has very little competition and is ahead of Blender in many ways when it comes to mobile devices, it has enormous potential. With continued development, it could become something truly outstanding. Personally, I would even be willing to pay more or subscribe to a premium plan if it helped support the ongoing development of the software. This could include new tools, more advanced rendering capabilities, and perhaps even the integration of AI-powered features. My message to the developers: make the most of what you have created before it’s too late. What you’ve built here is genuinely impressive, yet it remains far too unknown. It would be nice to have what someone else was saying where you can view tool tips next to the different icons.
