## Newest reviews (19 of 51)

### 2/5 — Very poor

*2025-01-24, version 4.8.5*

This is a terrible app, not very concise or correct at times. But the actual insurance is great.

### 2/5 — Sounds good in theory, but no good results.

*2023-12-15, version 4.6.5*

I live in Fort Myers, Florida. The healthcare bluebook sounds really cool especially when doing the shared savings program that the state of Florida requires employees to do. However, when you try to look for a physician with your ZIP Code, the closest one to me is typically 30 to 40 miles away.

So if anyone is looking for a doctor in the Fort Myers area, you can forget about it because there are no doctors in Fort Myers or Naples. Honestly, I don’t know how people survive.

### 3/5 — Great concept but app has flaws

*2023-09-21, version 4.5.5*

I love the concept of this app but I wish you can do a state search, rather than being required to put in specific cities or at least have a distance range from the city. It would also be great if it also offered a map reward/fair price results.

### 2/5 — App Maintenance needed

*2023-06-21*

Doctors are not found

### 3/5 — Great concept poor app

*2023-03-27*

The app is an excellent idea. The entire concept is an excellent idea. The delivery is blundery and cumbersome. It takes too long to load, it has horrible lag issues. I’m grateful to look up providers and compare costs it just takes more patience than it should….

### 1/5 — iPhone 12 Pro Max and my first time using the app

*2022-01-31, version 2.3.5*

This is the very first day I’m using the app and it has already not been working. Hopefully the developers of this app will fix this issue someday soon.

### 1/5 — Sucking money for no reason

*2022-01-10, version 2.3.5*

Was promised a “free” consumer version in 2021, its 2022 and still can’t access the blue book.. just big corp and pharma sucking money out of hard working patients.. 👎👎

### 1/5 — Outdated

*2021-10-25, version 2.3.5*

The information for my area is so outdated. Our major hospital was bought by MercyHealth at least 4-5 years ago. They also built a new hospital 2 years ago. This app still lists the old name and location

### 1/5 — Useless to consumers

*2021-05-11, version 2.3.5*

Free search tool is unavailable both in the app and on the website.

### 1/5 — Only gives option to register as a doctor

*2021-03-17, version 2.3.4*

Only gives option to register as doctor. Worthless to consumers.

### 1/5 — Was good, now useless

*2021-02-18, version 2.3.4*

I had previously used this app & even had a log in/acct. But now they’ve removed access. Emails to support have gone unanswered. Deleting now, which is obviously what they want.

### 1/5 — Worthless to consumers

*2020-12-29, version 2.3.4*

This program want me to sign up as a doctor not a consumer. Had trouble downloading program and it keeps crashing. NICE JOB!!

### 1/5 — Cannot use app

*2020-11-24, version 2.3.4*

This last update changed the app so now one needs to have an account to use it instead of allowing us to search without an account. Big disappointment. I guess it’s time to delete it.
Thank you for the years of use but that has come to an end

### 1/5 — Disappointed

*2020-03-03, version 2.2.9*

The app is pretty much useless since it doesn’t provide any information on such a basic service as lab services.

### 2/5 — Slow

*2020-01-08, version 2.2.8.1*

Glacially slow on iPhone 11... ugh

### 1/5 — Crashes on all Apple devices

*2019-10-05, version 2.2.8*

Sounded wonderful during a recent in service training at my State of Florida agency. Several of us went home to try and no one with Apple devices could get fully into the app. It keeps crashing.
I’ve contacted support and received a no other reported issues and is everything up tp date. Yes. Sent back IOS version and am waiting for a response.
Meantime tried on iPad and there is no difference. Crashes.
Hoping very much it is fixed soon. Want an appointment early November.

### 1/5 — Zip code problem

*2019-08-15, version 2.2.7*

Won't accept my zip code. Says it's invalid. Tried three times.

### 2/5 — Keeps crashing iPhone 6s

*2019-07-21, version 2.2.6*

Seems like it would be good to use, and since my job supplies it I thought I would give it a try. It works the first time I open it to log in and then crashes every time after that. I literally have to uninstall and reinstall which messes up my “bonuses” for procedures i have looked up to get done.... if I have to keep uninstalling to use it, I don’t see the point of having it anymore. Please fix!!!!

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2019-05-29, version 2.2.5*

The app only opens the first time you use it. After that it will not open.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Terrible doctor listed as high quality

*2026-07-14, version 5.3.5*

First thing I did was look up a doctor in my area who is a known bad doctor. The app listed them as high quality. This doctor directly contributed to the death of a family member and has lost access to nearby hospitals. There is no way I will ever trust this app! Time to delete.

### 1/5 — App Doesn’t Work

*2026-06-05, version 5.3.5*

This app no longer works and anything you try says to contact support.

### 1/5 — Already can’t use it

*2025-11-22, version 5.1.5*

I can’t even get passed the registration since it says I’m entering my birthday wrong despite me entering it in the mm/dd/yyyy format multiple times. Just a terrible app. I really need to use it for my medical tests, but they don’t seem to care about their users or they’d do something about it.

### 1/5 — Poor performance

*2025-05-31, version 5.0.0*

I want to use this app so bad. But the app is just so bad. On its surface it seems at best ok. However the search function is just epic. It takes too long to load. Often hanging up to the point I just swipe away and start over. I’m disappointed there isn’t predictive text or at least a best guess at what I’m searching for. The medical terms make it a headache to figure out what procedure exactly you’re looking for. I keep trying but. But honestly the clunkyness and overall unfriendly user interface makes this more an example, the epitome of what’s wrong with health care and insurance in general.

### 1/5 — This app probably the worst designed app

*2024-11-01, version 4.8.5*

App is literally horrible. Only here as I am a paying customer for insurance. The idea that you can find doctors and procedures that fit into your network is outstanding but the level of effort made into designing this app is subpar and it actually provides very little support. Many people who download this app are better off calling different offices and asking if they take your insurance rather than use this app as it will waste your time.

### 1/5 — Trash

*2024-04-27, version 4.7.0*

I haven’t touched this app in about a year. Today, I tried to search a procedure and it said “search limit has been reached for the month”. Uninstalling and never using this again.

### 1/5 — Useless and depressing app. Just needed an eye doctor

*2023-10-12, version 4.5.5*

A lot of the doctors and facilities are not updated and riddled with errors. Some offices closed years ago. Doctors moved, retired , or died still on the app. Limited, too almost zero ,search results.

### 1/5 — Can never log in on app

*2023-09-06, version 4.5.5*

The app doesn’t recognize my password and after playing the “My Bluebook Journey” to gain wellness points, the app would lock up at the end every time. I have spent two months try to resolve this problem and just deleted the app all together.
When I would contact the help center they would just tell me what my company code was. Not really helpful.
I can log in on my laptop.

### 1/5 — Complete Waste of Time

*2023-08-10*

Network Error.
Network Error.
Network Error.

Endless Loop of Dysfunction.
Privacy Nightmare.
Danger, Will Robinson!

### 1/5 — Why do you ask for my Social Security number???

*2023-03-14, version 4.4.0*

In order to register to use this app, you must type in your SS#. Are you kidding me? Not last 4, they want the entire number! We are constantly told to not share this number with anyone. Why would I mindlessly type it into a 3rd party app? When the company my husband works for offered Bluebook a couple years ago, I used it all the time to search for best cost on medical procedures. It was helpful 80% of the time, and hubby got reimbursed when we used an in network provider through Bluebook suggestions. We NEVER had to give a ss# back then? Why not ask for ins group number instead? This is outrageous. I guess we won’t be using this app to save money, because all the savings in the world simply is not worth the risk of forking over a ss# to an app and having it compromised. Geeeeeeze. 🙄 I’m appalled.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Works perfectly for me

*2020-02-22, version 2.2.9*

iPhone 7S. Works great. Great features and easy to use.

### 5/5 — Saved me $565 on ONE small procedure

*2017-11-03, version 2.1.3*

Won’t get into many details. Ultrasound. $765 dollars AFTER insurance at one place. Used website to tell me a “good price” was $212 and “great” was $80. I called 2 more doctors in my area. $135 total.

In 45 min of calls to docs and with the help of this app (website even better due to predictive search), I saved more than half a thousand dollars.

People spend hours searching to save $100 on a freakin’ TV.

Thank you so much to these people!! It made a huge difference in my expenses on just one exam. I have told everyone that will listen about this great service!

### 5/5 — Very helpful information

*2017-04-29, version 2.0.3*

This is a very helpful app and it is about time that we can see some transparency in healthcare prices..

### 5/5 — Great for high deductibles

*2017-03-08, version 2.0.3*

I've apparently been getting screwed by my local hospital for years. Now that I'm on a high deductible plan, this is really helpful before I go to the doctor

### 5/5 — Saved me money

*2017-02-17, version 2.0.2*

Saved $1,000 on my wife's knee MRI by switching to less expensive imaging center.

### 5/5 — Very helpful for me.

*2016-08-03, version 1.8.3*

I have a significant copay before insurance kicks in. I found this helpful in shopping for care.

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2016-03-23, version 1.8.1*

I have always wondered how much I should actually be getting charged when I visit the ER, and this app made it easy to tell! (I wish we actually paid these prices). Would definitely recommend!

### 5/5 — Price tags!

*2014-03-30, version 1.4*

I always shop around when buying stuff, but it didn't occur to me to shop healthcare. This app gives me a reasonable price to compare for various procedures. Most recently it helped me know that my doctor was charging me a fair price for my X-rays.

### 5/5 — Awesome app

*2013-11-23, version 1.3.3*

My employer gave me healthcare blue book. Helped me save $1500 on my tests.

### 5/5 — Good info

*2013-05-15, version 1.3.1*

I was looking into LASIK eye surgery and this app provided some good info that I probably could've collected through out the web, but it was all conveniently in one app. I particularly like the questions they provide that you should be asking the health care providers.
