It was fantastic, all our tickets and itinerary easy to find, mapping available data-free, restaurant suggestions and (through wifi) weather for all our stops. It was amazing. Looking at other reviews it looks as if you can use it to self-plan, so I will give it a go! ### 5/5 — Vamoos Holiday -South Africa *2023-01-23, version 3.7.1* Fabulous app, great to use maps and info offline. Please fix this! ### 1/5 — Wouldn't download data *2023-05-30* Put in username and code and was asked to confirm data download. Hit accept but it kept saying there was no internet access even after trying multiple devices. ### 1/5 — DO NOT USE THIS APP. *2016-10-14, version 2.1.4* Do not use this App if you value your private/personal data. Woefully inadequate security. Identity theft made simple - this App offers a one-stop-shop for anyone seeking to steal your identity. It even provides a scanned image of your passport inc. a your signature; as well the dates/times of when you’ll be away from home. ### 2/5 — Would be nice if some content turned up *2018-08-28, version 2.6.2* I was sceptical the moment our tour operator, Essential Italy, said that they had ‘teamed up’ with Vamoos to offer the app. Whist I can’t downrate the app for the use of such and overused marketing term to cover up a kick back, I can say that my expectations were met as Vamoos failed to enhance my holiday experience in anyway. Much like a half built website the app functions to an acceptable standard, hence the 2 stars, but the content in my case was woeful. It doesn’t, for example, list any of the local supermarkets, let alone provide any recommendations. In fact, the vast majority of the information listed on paper at the villa did not appear in the app. Our rep suggested that she had submitted lots of content to the company but this doesn’t seem to have made it on to the app which is a shame. The maps feature seems to only work in online mode yet will continually pester you with messages about downloads to support offline mode. I would recommend not enabling or relying on this feature. There is also an attempt at a social media feed where people can post. This doesn’t really seem necessary and my preference would be for tighter integration with more established social media platforms. In summary, this could be a useful little app that would allow tour operators to easily share and update information and allow customers to have it there prior to their trip and easily accessible while away. Sadly, the mechanism by which the content is added/updated would appear to be lacking and it’s usefulness is severely diminished as a result. ### 2/5 — Bit useless and very limited *2017-11-04, version 2.3.5* doesn’t look like i can add my own documents or class lists. ### 3/5 — Mighty 5 UtahTour from LV 03-20-2023 *2023-03-15* I downloaded the Vamoos app on my Apple App Store. Logged in beautifully and started reviewing my trip details. When I clicked on the Weather icon a chart came up showing average temperatures for each stop on the tour. That chart now is all that shows. Frozen . I can’t back out to anything and if I go back to re-log into the app…. It can’t be done. The temperature chart is all that appears. Please help. The one issue I have found is that it will not allow you to go back to put images in the diary one, or two days after the itinerary journey date, which occurred due to poor WiFi connections on the day. ### 3/5 — Weather *2016-01-28, version 1.2.4* Weather doesn't work since latest update. Am already connected and refreshed and have tried closing and reopening app but doesn't work. ### 5/5 — Very helpful app *2025-10-14* Our travel agent gave us access to Vamoos, which proved extremely helpful during our recent trip to India. Having the our itinerary at our fingertips together with all pertinent details including pushing flight updates for example was outstanding. Easy to use and my tour operator packs it full of information and map suggestions. The app was great It kept all the information about my trip available even if I was not connected to the internet, as well as loads of recommendations, a map, the weather, all of my flights etc too- and a messaging service to the company as well, which kept everything in one place and meant I could ask questions without having to open my emails… Definitely recommend ### 5/5 — Restaurants, weather, flights, itinerary.
