Attention touristes ne prenait surtout pas leur pass!!! Si vous avez des problèmes il n y a aucune communication avec le siège. Leur système de bus est incompréhensible. Et surtout ne prenez pas plusieurs pass pour votre famille sur le même téléphone ça ne marchera pas !!! Résultats sur 4 pass a 14e l unité j ai pu utilisé une fois de n pass résultat 56 euros perdu. J ai envoyé un mail depuis plusieurs jours et aucune nouvelle. Honteux !!! ### 1/5 — No Hyperlinks *2024-04-06, version 1.1.14* No way to pick location flags to help plan trips. A QR is generated in the app that should be scanned when but the scanners on the buses do not work and the drivers seem to hate using them. Tried different ways to select the origin and destination but that’s the only possible ticket. Just kept saying no journey available for my destination. A journey I have made numerous times. Reverted to good old timetable and stand and wait till one turns up… patience is key… amanha ### 1/5 — Very user unfriendly app *2026-01-08, version 1.2.8* Expect if you’re working for vamus algarve and knowing the public transportation network and the bus stops numbers. Each bus stop has a unique bus stop number. When I am looking for a bus stop I very often get two stops with the same name but different bus stop numbers e.g. “1491 | Tavira (EB D. Paio) “1492 | Tavira (EB D. Paio)”. Which one should I take? Probably it is the same bus stop, going in different directions. This is really useless information for the user of the app. But I get different results, for choosing different bus stops numbers with the same bus stop name. The map is a really cool and helpful feature in finding a bus stop. But why are the lines (and bus stops) not showing the numbers of the bus Lines? This would be so helpful to look up the time tables of the bus lines like in good old times. Because if your journey gets complicated, you’re changing the bus lines you’re mostly getting the message “no journey“. (Expect you are working for vamus algarve and knowing network or you are the designer of this app.) Overall the user experience is very frustrating. (I decided in the end to ask the service at the terminal.) The app expect user to know too much of the public transportation system. Qual é a função desse aplicativo? There seems to be no way to build trips connecting buses. The app is clunky and you’re better off using google maps 95% of the time. ### 1/5 — Position détection Not working - useless *2024-12-30, version 1.1.15* Thé app détects my position during start correctly. But when I want to use thé Go to function to get a route it tells me, it does Not know any more where i am. I also dont know which Bus Station is thé next (a normal app would tell me this) . So thé App is completely useless if I havé no détailed plan of all routes and all Bus stations in paper Format. I tried to enter thé names of thé stations from google maps. This is a nightmare. PLEASE let the user enter at least 4 to 5 letters until you start searching for stations. It even took us to the Emergency Department at Faro Hospital. Buses always clean, on time(ish) and skilfully driven. Happily, Google (not apple) maps has the Vamus system loaded presently so use that first. But to see maps of the bus routes, coverage, stops, and more, use Vamus. First choose which city, or Vamus for the region, from button at top right. Then very slowly enter the location name or stop numbers for your trip. App desperately needs improvement … ### 3/5 — iPad only in Portrait Mode *2023-01-19* App lists support for iPad but is not truly compatible as it only displays in portrait mode while most iPad users use Landscape mode. ### 2/5 — Not working properly! *2025-07-20, version 1.1.15* There’s always something wrong with the app. Doesn’t load stations, doesn’t accept data, doesn’t show schedule, constant failure messages. But th me app doesn’t cache previous searches, one has to start anew every time. Also, the autofill is very slow, the user easily overwrites letters previously entered making search for a specific destination very tedious. Overall, usability is poor. ### 2/5 — Niet correct *2024-09-11, version 1.1.15* App toont 3 verschillende tijden van bus regeling. De bus was dan nog eens 11min te laat. Ondertussen stonden we reeds aan een andere halte en zagen we de onze voorbij rijden. Ipv 30min onderweg te zijn moesten we nu meer als een uur onderweg zijn… ### 2/5 — App not ready *2022-10-06, version 1.1.7* The App is great for looking at timetables and journey planning etc but no good at all for paying a fare on the bus instead of using cash. My understanding is that for single journeys you tell the bus driver where you are going and he tells you how much the fare is and you then present your phone to the scanner (with the QR code within the Vamus Algarve App displayed) and this pays for the fare, instead of cash, and the amount is deducted from your balance in your account within the App (which is easily topped up online). However, when I tried this in real life it was quite clear that the bus driver had never seen anyone try to use the App to pay and the QR code in the App is so big (with no option to resize it) that the optical scanner on the bus could no read it. As an alternative, one of the options stated within the App is to purchase a Vamus Travel Card at a main bus terminal, which is then linked to your account within the App, which means that your balance in the App is then available on the card, and you can then use the card to pay on the bus by tapping it on the reader once the bus driver has confirmed the amount of the fare. However, when I tried to get this Travel Card at the main Albufeira Bus Terminal the lady behind the desk said it was not possible to link the card to my existing account and all she could do was sell me an anonymous pre-paid card which could only be topped up by going back to one of the ‘purchase points’, ie a main bus terminal. She referred me to the email address for Vamus customer service and I emailed them to explain all this but they have not responded. If anyone has any experience to assist me I would appreciate you posting it on the App reviews. ### 2/5 — Needs Tweaking *2022-09-09, version 1.1.7* Great app for information but after adding money I haven’t yet been able to use it as the QR code appears to be too big to scan and unable to minimise.
