It will not save CC information. 8/10 times gives error and doesn’t process payment. They don’t offer tech support directly to the user. Now I can’t sign in at all….I submit my email and it doesn’t request a password. Having to do the picture verification so often was annoying but I could live with it. Lately when I open the app it just says Loading please wait and just spins. I tried turning my phone off and restarting but it doesn’t help. If you click on the link that it suggests when it’s just spinning it takes you to a screen that makes you start over by finding your organization which takes FOREVER!! Then it didn’t work anyway! People in my church express concern and don’t get help from their customer service. They say that it constantly loads and they can’t give - they have gone back to using checks. Also when you open the app and you click the “give” button you can select the specific church account to give to, enter your gift amount and frequency. But then the give button will not work at all. The problem is that I’m not logged in - but on the landing page of the app there is no I dictation stating whether or not I am logged in and the assumption is that I am logged in if it allows me to do so many steps towards giving. Confusing and a waste of time for someone trying to give. Time to move on from Vanco to a better online giving provider. ### 1/5 — Can’t trust it *2022-05-17, version 1.9.0* The app is buggy and I can’t trust it to do what it says. The service support doesn’t. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Won’t Let Me Give! *2025-03-27, version 2.8.3* I would love to give a great review but can’t. As a new parishioner, I asked our Office Manager how to give and she said to go to Vanco on the web for procedures. I did that, but nowhere on their home page do they explain to users how to GIVE through their company. I wrote to them and they directed me back to our Office Manager. They could have told me to download the Vanco Mobile app, but didn’t. Then, on the app, I created and account, found my parish, and typed in a contribution amount. And there the app stalls, with the “Continue” button faded out. I tried logging off and on again, as well as powering off and restarting my smart phone. Same issue - I can’t progress the actual giving, which is what the whole app is supposed to be about. Not a good app ### 1/5 — Terrible customer service *2025-03-07, version 2.8.3* There is no way to get ANY customer service from within the app. My church has multiple funds to donate to but only one fund is showing up in my app. Found a number to call but they would not even talk to me. I can find it on the website but on the app it states it doesn’t exist. Extremely aggravating. ### 1/5 — App will not complete transactions. *2023-03-16, version 1.16.0* Not sure when it stopped working but the app is now useless. I have worked with our church contact with no results. There is no direct technical support which I think is appalling. The basic problem is that I can enter everything to the point where you are supposed to review the transaction and the continue to review button will not work. On an iPhone 14 so not old tech. Will need to abandon the application. Very frustrating. ### 1/5 — One of the most unusable apps ever *2023-02-12, version 1.15.6* There are so many problems with this app. First, as you are signing up, it resets if you leave the app. So if you use a password manager for security (you are using one right? This isn’t 2003) you have to start over. Then when you get to the point of checking your email for the verification, guess what, you have to start over again. But now an account exists. So now you have to rest your password, which you try to get smart and do on your PC, which for some reason doesn’t carry over to the app. I am pretty close to having my church switch to another service as this is ridiculous. ### 1/5 — Awful *2023-02-05, version 1.15.6* It goes back to “find organization” page every time I go to another app. I can’t get my account created because I when I need verify my email address I can’t enter the code. I also like the map integration and the collaboration features. Thanks for the great improvements! ### 3/5 — Not a sure app *2025-06-01, version 2.8.3* I use the app and it is very sketchey, sometimes-it works great and a lot of times it will not. It’s very frustrating. ### 3/5 — Frustrating *2023-01-22, version 1.15.6* When signing up and you leave the app to go to your email to get the confirmation number the app resets and you can’t enter the confirm number. That needs to be fixed. ### 3/5 — Poor search function *2022-01-31, version 1.5.0* In the old app you could search for churches using your ZIP Code. In this one you have to enter the exact name. If you search for first Presbyterian Church you get every single Presbyterian Church in the country. ### 3/5 — Category Change on iPhone *2022-01-10, version 1.4.0* I know it says the app is supposed to be for communication and engagement as well as giving, and maybe it’s just because of my specific church, but it seems the only function within the app is giving, which is fine with me, that’s the only use I desire it for and I think it would be good to just keep it simple and for devs to work on one function to get it working flawlessly. The only reason I bring this up is because on iPhone it’s under the social networking app category and therefore is grouped with my social apps which makes no sense. The app in its current state would better be categorized as a finance app instead. Just a suggestion. ### 3/5 — This app needs work *2021-10-18* While this app appears to have some helpful features, they don’t work well or at all. I can’t see my scheduled transactions or transaction history. This is important to me because I’m being charged twice each week for my church gift. I suspect this is because the set-up is cumbersome and I thought it didn’t go through the first time (received no confirmation), so I entered my gift a second time. The support function simply directs me to our church admin who doesn’t have any more information than I do. This app roll-out was rushed out - giving just 30 days notice to churches regarding the change. It seems Vanco should have slowed down and thoroughly tested it before releasing it. Disappointing & potentially hurtful to church congregations if people don’t trust this app. ### 2/5 — Frustrating *2026-06-14, version 2.10.1* Extremely inconsistent. When it works, which is maybe 50% of the time, it’s great. But good luck on the off times. Not worth the hassle. ### 2/5 — Search function needs help *2023-06-04, version 1.20.1* This is a useful way to give to our church, but the search function to find your church needs some attention. The search should bring up churches regardless of spelling, etc when you are searching for something as common as St. Paul’s - if your church entered the name with Saint spelled out, it doesn’t find it, ditto if they do St with a period or without a period, or Paul’s with our without an apostrophe. If you are looking for St. Paul’s all the options should come up. Also would be handy to let you search by zip code. ### 2/5 — STILL NEEDS WORK *2022-12-28, version 1.15.4* Even though I tell the app to keep me logged in, it logs me out every single time. Also, you have to leave the app to actually to complete the transaction. ### 2/5 — App Unreliable *2022-11-20, version 1.15.1* I’ve used the app several times but it never works consistently.
