Much like other reviews, the biggest issue is that the app stalls out in “searching” endlessly, without an update on drivers nearby or progress in matching you with a taxi. The app appears to share a user interface and architecture with other Canadian taxi companies, and frankly it’s a very poor experience. Most booking attempts with this app end with cancelling the request and either hailing a free taxi on the street, taking a ride share vehicle, or walking.

Guys, you have to fix this - the app works fine on the driver side, but on the customer side, it just says “searching” endlessly. I cancelled my latest trip after “searching” for 10 minutes about 10 seconds before the cab rolled up. He said “did you just cancel?” So clearly it’s talking to the system, but not updating on the client side! Has been happening for the last few months. Please fix ! This used to work!

I keep trying this app every couple of months and it’s just getting worst. Forgot my password link in the email doesn’t work on any browser, it has been over 3 months and not yet fixed. What world are we living in? I guess the no Uber one!

I used the app to book a cab an hour before I needed it, I got a notice that the booking was accepted a few minutes before the time I scheduled and then the cab never showed.

I'm a tourist and downloaded the app as Uber isn't available in Vancouver. The actual app itself is easy to use except that the addresses loaded are all wrong and it keeps telling me there was a problem booking a cab and to call them. What's the point of having an app if I have to call anyway???

It's bad. We were picked up the first time we used the app. The second time we waited 30 minutes before giving up because the app didn't book us a car. Uber/Lyft are badly needed in Vancouver. There is obviously more demand than Taxi drivers can handle.

Following the information on their website, booked a taxi to the airport on this app the night before. After waiting 10 min past the booked time, called their number and was notified by an automated system that my booking is being worked on and will arrive shortly. I waited another 5 min, and called again to confirm where they are and got myself to a gentleman who knew about my booking and immediately said “I can’t do it”. I told him that I had booked the night before and had the confirmation on my app, but he didn’t care and just continued to say “I can’t do it”. Lyft ultimately saved my day, but another confirmation that it’s these types of companies that ruin the reputation of the taxi industry and allow themselves to become obsolete. Sad.

When I open it, it usually shows my location ... a street over and the wrong address! The location service only works maybe half the time. It allows you to set up favorite addresses, but you can’t use them to book to so why? Worse, though the ETA shows a minute or even five minutes, the searching takes much longer than that and then you still have to wait for that cab to arrive, both of which do not come near that ETA time. Since I order a cab every morning, you would think I could get one in a reasonable amount of time, but, no. Two of their drivers this week told me I could get Uber now so obviously they don’t care that they are so bad.

Prebooked a cab for a special evening. Come the time, nothing. No communication via the app. Panicking, we drove instead. Half an hour later, the cab arrived. What a joke. Uber and Lyft can’t get to Vancouver soon enough.

I booked the previous night to make sure that we’ll leave on time to the airport. On the app, it even asks you if you want high occupancy vehicle, I specified that it’s for 5 people. Come 6 am, no cab. I waited until 6:05, still nothing. I decided to call them and was told that they are still looking for a vehicle because they don’t usually have a 6 passenger car. What’s the point of booking it ahead of time? And if they don’t have available vehicle, could they not inform their customers? If I didn’t call, I wouldn’t know that no cab is coming.

This Vancouver taxi app is not good.   The yellow cab in vancouver app is much better.  In yellow cab you get notifications and you can follow your cab...  this one just gives you nothing and no updates or notification. Nearly missed a plane once even with advanced booking 😲

There is a reason that taxi companies need to use local government as a weapon to compete against Uber and Lyft. That reason is Vancouver Taxi.

You can’t find your driver once you call them, you can’t tell them where to go, and you can’t pay them the way you want to pay them.

App reservation is NOT accurate at all. 
We need a van to go to the airport and never showed up. Call the company and the “Dave” guy was really nasty and told us depends on an availability if we could get a van or not. Really? What’s the point of having a reservation???

Downloaded the app and reserved a taxi ride to the air a day in advance. Fifteen minutes before scheduled pickup, received a notification that the car was en route, and was able to see the car approach on the map. Our driver arrived slightly early and got us to the airport efficiently and for about the price that the fare estimator on the app indicated at the time I made the reservation. 

Some negative reviews appearing here seem to be from two to five years old. Problems have evidently been ironed out since then.

I used this app 2 times now, and had no troubles so far. The taxi arrived on time both times and it was a pleasant ride overall. You don’t have to give away your card info to book a ride unlike car share apps which feels more secure and comfortable.

Another great application. Easy and fast to use. This is defititely the way of ordering the cabs in an easy and convenient way. I have used it a couple of times and I will continue to use it.

Why can I enter my address and get a fair estimate but then when I click BOOK and confirm, only THEN does it tell me that I can’t get a cab to this area? Uber would never do that to me.

App is clunky to use and I have to create an account. Lots of disclaimers and warnings. Finally broke down and downloaded the app after not being able to get through on the phone for 10 minutes, then spent 5 minutes registering. Oh the bright side the cab came relatively quick and he had my name so nobody could take it. Anyways, nowhere near as good as Uber and a few dollars more. We need Uber bad to break this stupid monopoly.
