## What is Vanoor?

Vanoor turns your Apple Watch into a serious running watch.
Follow GPX routes with turn-by-turn cues, pace your race split by split, and run structured workouts built by you or your AI assistant.
No phone in your pocket, no subscription, no account.

TURN-BY-TURN ROUTES ON YOUR WRIST
Import a GPX on your iPhone or draw a route tap by tap. It syncs to your Watch with an offline map, so navigation works where reception drops. The Watch taps you about 60 m before each turn and again at the corner, and with headphones it says "In 60 metres, turn left." Two close turns come as one cue, and where a route crosses itself it tells you to go straight. Raise your wrist and the map turns with the compass; lower it and your running direction points up. The off-route alert taps you the moment you drift, and Back to Start takes you home.

A RUNNING PACER FOR RACE DAY
Pick the distance and goal time, choose a negative, even or positive split, and shape the pace curve by hand while the finish time stays fixed. On race day the Watch shows the split you are in, its pace band and where you sit inside it, with a buzz before every change of pace. No arithmetic at 35 km.

STRUCTURED WORKOUTS
Build intervals, tempo and threshold sessions: splits by distance or time, pace bands, heart rate zones, repeat blocks, rests and fuel reminders. Or ask your AI assistant for a plan and import the file it writes. The Watch announces every split and counts down the end of each recovery. One pace band setting, adjustable to the second, applies to every pace split.

SEE HOW WELL YOU RAN IT
After a planned run, every split with a target gets a score: the share of its time you spent inside the band. Open a split to see your pace drawn over the band and where you left it. Home shows your weekly score next to your distance.

SPOKEN CUES, MUSIC KEEPS PLAYING
Kilometre, split, turn and fuel cues come as a tap, a short spoken line, or both. With headphones on your iPhone the cues play there, and your music only gets quieter for a moment.

A WATCH SCREEN BUILT FOR RUNNING
Configurable pages (Classic, Big Metric, Pace, Heart Rate, Elevation, Map, Metronome) with cadence, power, stride length and ground contact time. All controls fit on one screen, including a Lap button. Auto-pause stops the clock only when your steps and your distance both stop, so a lost GPS signal does not pause your run. Walks and hikes can be recorded too.

YOU DECIDE WHAT GETS SAVED
At the end you rate your effort and choose Save or Discard. Save sends the run to Apple Health with route, heart rate, pace and elevation, and uploads it to Strava if connected. Discard sends nothing, and the run waits in Recently Deleted for 7 days. Export any run as FIT or GPX.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No account, no tracking. Routes and runs sync through your own iCloud and never touch our servers, because there are none.

ONE-TIME PURCHASE
Seven days free with every feature, then buy it once. No subscription, ever.

In English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Hungarian, Japanese, Chinese and Korean, spoken cues included.

Requires an iPhone (iOS 17 or later) and an Apple Watch with GPS (watchOS 10 or later).

Try every feature free for 7 days. If Vanoor earns a place on your wrist, buy it once and keep it.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.4.1 — 2026-10-05

Vanoor has a clearer name in the App Store: Vanoor: Running Pacer & Map.
• New profile page: tap the profile button on Activities to see your totals for runs, walks or hikes, your weekly streak and your best 1 km, 5 km, 10 km, half marathon and marathon times, found inside any run. Tap This month or This year for a chart by month or by year, with the change against the last period. Your name and heart-rate zones now live here too.
• New App Store pages and screenshots in all 11 languages.

### 1.4 — 2026-10-04

Vanoor now speaks your language: German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Hungarian, Japanese, Chinese and Korean, spoken cues included. Pick it in Settings → About → Language.
• A calmer pause: the yellow frame shows PAUSED for a moment, then only the frame stays. When you set off again it turns green and fades.
• The Watch controls fit on one screen: End, Pause, Back to Start, Options and Lap, no scrolling.
• Walks and hikes show their own icon, and the running-form page steps aside for them.
• Rate your effort on a smooth wheel after the run.
• Spoken cues play through the headphones on your iPhone when it is with you. Your music only gets quieter, and your Watch battery lasts longer.
• Without headphones the Watch stays quiet, except for turns and "Off route". You can allow the Watch speaker in Settings → Alerts.
• Strava: choose whether the activity description shows your workout splits and your execution score, in Settings → Strava.
• Start a route run straight from Routes on the Watch.
• One pace band for all your workouts, set to the second in Settings → During a Run. Built here or imported, every pace split follows it.
• Imported workouts: swipe left to drop one before you import.
• Ending a run asks once. On the summary you choose: Save sends it to Apple Health and Strava, Discard sends nothing, and your iPhone keeps a deleted run in Activities → Recently Deleted for 7 days.
• Clearer turn-by-turn: two quick turns are said together ("turn right, then turn left"), cues come earlier when you run fast, and a wobbly GPX line no longer says "bear left" on a straight road.
• Map: lower your wrist and the way you run jumps to the top; raise it and the map turns with the compass.

### 1.3 — 2026-09-30

Turn by turn on the Watch
• A tap about 60 m before each turn and another at the corner. With AirPods, Vanoor can also say it out loud.
• Where a route crosses itself, it tells you to continue straight.
• Turn arrows, km markers and start and finish flags on the map.

See how well you ran the workout
• After a planned run, every split gets a score: the share of its time you spent inside the target pace or heart rate band.
• Open a split to see where you left the band, with your fastest, average and slowest values.
• Home shows your weekly score. Swipe to look back at earlier weeks.

Also new
• Spoken cues for kilometres, splits and fuel, each with its own switch in Settings → Alerts.
• A lap button on the Watch. Laps show in the summary, in Activities and in FIT exports.
• Walks and hikes as their own activity types.
• A Low Power setting for long runs.
• Activities grouped by month.
• Runs reach your iPhone and Strava right after you finish.
• Fixes for the end-of-run freeze, split timing and scrolling in Workouts.

### 1.2.1 — 2026-09-28

• Send to Vanoor: build a race pace plan or a zone 2 run on vanoor.app, tap Send to Vanoor on your iPhone, and it opens right here — ready to save and sync to your Watch.
• Offline maps on the Watch are sharper and steadier, and routes already on your Watch get their map without a full re-sync.
• The map's compass keeps working while a run is paused, and falls back to your GPS direction if the compass signal drops.
• Discarding a run always asks you to confirm first.

### 1.2 — 2026-09-27

• Sharper, more reliable offline maps: a new close-up street zoom, long routes now reach the watch in full, routes already on the watch get their offline map as soon as you switch to Offline, and a spinner shows while the map loads.
• The map keeps turning with you while your run is paused, so you can check which way to go at a junction.
• Discarding a run now asks you to confirm, so one stray tap can't throw a run away.
