## What is Vantage Stitch?

Vantage turns a place you keep returning to into a single image.
Pick a fixed subject — a tree, a doorway, a horizon, the corner of a building - and photograph it again across hours, days, or seasons. Vantage stitches your captures into one frame.

 SIX WAYS TO COMPOSE 
- WEDGE - Radial slices around an anchor point. The signature look.
- GRID - 2×2 quadrants for direct side-by-side comparison.
- STRIPS - Vertical bands, left to right, like a thin time-lapse.
- CROSSFADE - Smooth horizontal blend across captures. Painterly.
- SLIDER - Two captures with a draggable divider, then export.
- TIME-LAPSE - A short MP4 movie of your spot evolving.

BUILT FOR REPEAT SHOOTS 
- Ghost overlay. On every return capture, your first photo appears as a translucent layer on the live camera. Frame the new shot to match before tapping the shutter.
- AI alignment. Apple's Vision framework runs translational and homographic registration against your reference photo and corrects small handheld drift automatically. Each capture shows a confidence badge — STRONG, FAIR, WEAK, or OFF — so you know exactly what landed.
- Capture review. Every photo goes through a Keep / Retake step before it's saved.
- Golden hour. Spots with a location pin show today's sunrise and sunset under the title. The return-capture banner flips to a gold countdown when you're inside a golden-hour window.
- Subject mask. Vantage uses on-device foreground segmentation so your wedge composites stay locked on the subject while the world around it changes.

Captures, masks, and composites stay in this app's sandbox. No accounts, no sign-ups, no telemetry, no third-party servers. iOS manages camera, Photos, and location permissions Vantage never asks for anything else.

 GOOD SUBJECTS, HONEST CAVEATS 
Best results: trees, statues, building corners, doorways, lighthouses, mountains - anything thick enough for the camera to recognize and consistent enough not to move between visits.
Tricky subjects: power lines, fences, anything thinner than a finger. Subject masking can't reliably separate them from the sky.
Golden hour times in Vantage are sun position only — they tell you when the light could be warm, not whether the sky will be. Always check the weather.
