The camera itself is top-notch in both build quality and performance. The only minor issue I ran into was the rear camera cable, which was a bit short for my van and the routing I chose. To be fair, the included 20ft cable is more than enough for most cars, but I was running it through the floor instead of the headliner, so I needed extra length. I reached out to Vantrue support, and they responded immediately and shipped me a 29ft cable at no charge. This kind of outstanding customer service is exactly why I’ve stayed loyal to Vantrue for years. This is my second camera from them, I purchased the E3 back in 2022 for my other vehicle and couldn’t be happier. The video quality is incredibly sharp, both during the day and at night, making it easy to capture rides and read license plates when needed. Installation was straightforward, and the camera feels well-built and durable enough to handle all kinds of weather. The app connects quickly and makes it simple to review and download footage without any hassle. I also appreciate the wide field of view, which captures much more of the road than I expected. The image stabilization does a great job smoothing out vibrations, even on rough roads. One of the biggest reasons I chose the Falcon 1 was for the added peace of mind while riding. Knowing every ride is being recorded is reassuring, and the overall reliability has been excellent so far. If you're looking for a high-quality motorcycle dash camera that's easy to use and delivers excellent video performance, I highly recommend the Vantrue Falcon 1. Utterly unusable in a modern vehicle. Took +30mins to connect to the latest Vantrue N5S then disconnects within 60 seconds. Troubleshooting online and I find out that Apple CarPlay interferes with it so you have to disconnect Apple CarPlay which in my vehicle means deleting it every time you want to use the App. You can't switch on the camera without power inside the vehicle and key turned which automatically starts Apple CarPlay. Such a badly designed app. I can't understand why it's got 3.9* it should be Zero. The Dashcam itself 4* but lost a star due to poor support. The camera would go on and then off for no reason. Connected with support and got an email response with suggestions which did not work. Removed camera and plugged into a USB and worked just fine so the problem had to be the power cable which I suggested I was immediately told I would get a replacement shipped which I got in a few days. The video quality is great, but what I like most is the convenience of the Vantrue app. Being able to connect to the dashcam and view recorded videos directly from my phone makes everything so much easier. I also like that I can quickly download and save footage without having to remove the SD card or connect the dashcam to a computer. The app makes it simple to review recordings whenever I need to, which is especially useful if I ever need footage from an incident.
