Known ios18 limitation: Alarms won't break Silence and Do Not Disturb mode so make sure those are not set.
Known AlarmKit limitations:
1. Alarm tones are limited to 30 seconds
2. Pushing the power button when alarm is alerting will NOT snooze the alarm. It will completely dismiss it.
3. AlarmKit alarms cannot trigger automation in Shortcuts that does something when alarm goes off, snoozed or stopped.

Great app! Literally has EVERYTHING you would want in an alarm. Calender, lots of sounds, lovee the loud alarm, sleep sounds, just perfect!! 

Minor issue that happened one today though: it kept ringing even after i stopped it.

I will look into the issue with the alarm ringing after stopping it. Did you enable the wake-up confirmation mode in Settings? That is for cases where you inadvertently dismiss the alarm by power button or swiping up. If that is enabled, you need to open the app to close it. Please email me the circumstances that you observed this issue.

### 3/5 — It works but UX is atrocious

The amount of hoops you have to jump through to set alarms and schedule things is ridiculous. Why do I have to find a particular day in the calendar to schedule an alarm there? It's a text field. Why do I have to open the schedule at all to schedule an alarm? Why doesn't the create alarm include that by default as a selection? Why do I have to use this obnoxious wheel thing to set the time? Why can't I have a challenge and snooze? Three stars because it technically works, -2 because I hate using it.

First thing I have to say is that this is a premium app with a very dedicated developer with a lifetime purchase option. If you’re anything like me, that means a lot to be able to use this app subscription-free. 

I requested a feature of the developer early on, and he added it to the next release like a week later! This is seriously one of the best experiences I’ve had on that front.

As for the app functionality, it really is pretty great, and one of the only reliable ways that I can skip my alarm for the following morning without having to worry about remembering to re-enable it afterwards - the schedule will continue automatically so I can go on with my day with one less thing to think about. This is the way technology should be, making our lives easier, and this app nails it. 

Get VariAlarm - you won’t regret it.

This app can use your calendar to create alarms using certain user defined rules or you can create templates to apply alarms for days at a time. Nice shortcut automation

This alarm program is the one that Apple should have created. The developer has given a lot of thought to how and why people use alarms and crafted a utility that gives you everything you need, from a gradual fade-in of alarms (which can be music you select) to cleaning up left over alarms for one-time events that you forgot to erase.

Love the time picker and the overall experience. Great work! Only wish it had an option to increase alarm volume gradually. But i am aware that’s an iOS limitation. Hopefully some day they add support for that.

Since 1.0.3 in January, crescendo is supported. It is limited to 30 seconds due to AlarmKit's requirements for stability to select less than 30 seconds sound. I chose a route that is maintainable and predictable. Also, I added ability to import own MP3 sound and iTunes songs.  Hope you will continue to enjoy the app.
